This is the Abt R8 Spyder Street, with a new aerodynamic package and fantastic exhaust system! Abt have created a choice of packages for the Audi R8 Coupe and Spyder taking up to 50kg out of the weight with carbon fibre bumpers and a new lightweight exhaust.
During a visit to Abt's HQ in Germany, I take the new car based on the 560PS R8 Spyder for a test run to see what it's about.

Hi Tim,good review!! I love the new R8 I think it is more agressive than the previous model, and in this configuration thanks to those blokes of ABT have made a proper good job!! I've been thinking at the freaking loud noise from the exhaust ,actually I'd keep the valves open all the time!!

De konjo it has some variations, but yeah - it basically has :) Most of the cars in the VAG share the same platforms and engines

When you say "the reputation" is for understeer, are you agreeing with that reputation or just repeating what British car reviewers always say on Audi reviews, perhaps as a box ticking exercise? Why is it that the German woman from Top Gear can drive the R8 round the track like a boss with no complaints about handling? The abt pipes looks and sound amazing in this, but that rear design is a dog's dinner. Quite like the front.

Pau e.f. TBH some of those newer ABT design changes look so bad...no flow with the original design at all. Just clumsy and amateurish, like someone who started just using CAD software and doesn't have a clue about design...Way to ruin this R8 for sure.
