I did this a few months ago when I ran through from COD4 to Black Ops 2 Campaign all on Veteran. Loved It.

i've recently went back to BO1 and tried veteran and my god I had so much fun re-playing the campaign again, just truly a masterpiece this game was. the tunnel part in the U.S.D.D on veteran I found it so difficult until I found out on accident you lean into cover by holding down Q, which saved me a few near deaths situations

I swear we both grew up on the same top tier games, best era of gaming for real. The fucking pain you're going through for these challenge videos, your back must be in bits. I hope these are doing well for you bro, you deserve it.

Banger of a video, and fair enough for putting yourself through that much pain. Just a warning if you do WaW on veteran, be prepared to get blown 1000 times (and not in a good way). Would be great to see you try to get the best ending on Black Ops 2 on veteran too if you'd be up for that.

After MW2 (2009) campaign I’ve always played CoD campaigns straight on Veteran, usually it’s more enjoyable for me. Outta the countless games now I can say this is one of my favourites as well as WaW but I do find this game a little more easier compared to the rest. Now if I was to return to this game (I haven’t played it since 2010-2011 when it was popular) I may have a different opinion but I just remember it being a simple yet enjoyable campaign.

I had the exact same problem with the mission at 11:00 on my first time playing this 13 years ago. Was stuck for HOURS and randomly decided to make my way to the barrels and saw the option pop up. Honestly don't know why there wasn't a prompt

Ive just finished it in veteran days ago and i can agree, you cant run and sprint and lolly gag in recruit. You take your damn time and prepare your patience and test as you will get killed many times and in ways you do not expect or where they are coming from, crouching and crawling on the ground around corners with only a second to shllt before they get a high chance of killing you. Like this took me a good amount of time to run through and going back to recruit to wrap up story base trophies, it is so easy to go through. Its a torture to finish but it is an acomplishment when you hit its end.

BO3 on Realistic has to be, by far, the hardest campaign on CoD. Other than that though, CoD4 and WaW are even at the next hardest in my opinion. Overall, CoD campaigns aren't that hard to complete on Veteran, but there's some missions that stand out and I think CoD4 and WaW have a good chunk of them.

Tried to run it again on veteran like around half a year ago. Hardest part was by far the Khe Sah downhill battle.

3:38 gave me flashback to when i play the game in hardened. Old cods had such bad checkpoints and enemie spawning

That first infinite enemy spawner in the tunnel had me there for 20 minutes just scavenging guns off the floor, atleast until I ran past and finished the mission. spoilers 29:12 In case you didn’t know, This line refers to Lee Harvey Oswald, which is the person that had killed JFK. Mason’s dialogue here is basically confirmation that he did indeed work with Oswald to assassinate JFK, along with Dragovich replying “Tried?” to Mason when he said that he tried to get him to kill his own president. Also post credit scene with Mason edited into a video of JFK before his death!!!!

that mission defending Khe Sahn made me almost break my entire set up when i went for the veteran run, hated my life honestly

21:34 I could be wrong, But I think Dragovich had Kravchenko put Mason in Vorkuta so he could brainwash Mason into being a sleeper agent. I think Kravchenko is talking about the cutscene where he's on the table and Steiner is speaking with Dragovich. I can't remember if it's mentioned in the game HOW Kravchenko got Mason to Vorkuta but this is just my guess. Sorry for being a nerd lmao

I did this last year and the vietnam mission when you push the barrels down the hill is by far the worst part of this game, took me over an hour just to get past that objective. You basically get locked in an animation and you cans still take damage while enemies infinitely spawn at the bottom of the hill and can kill you in 1 hit.

I finished Executive order on veteran yesterday that hellish hallway nearly made me cry and i did SOG only in a couple of tries (think I got lucky with the barrel part) I thought I had an easy ride to the end…. Rebirth island is ridiculous Im currently stuck on the tank bit and I know I have the hazmat suit part right after it 😭

As someone who recently did bo1 on veterans found it a fun challenge as I was going for the achievement where you can only use pistols on Kowloon on veteran difficulty I couldn’t do I got towards the end and I had to use an assault rifle I’ll probs try it again on an easier difficulty

At the start of the mission where you have to jump to the other building if you destroy all of the nova gas canisters with your grenades a tape recorder will open in the room next to you Grab the tape and play through the mission untill you get to the secret armory behind the fridge and put the tape into the other tape recorder and you shall be rewarded with the "THUNDER GUN"

Though that blackbird mission is my all time favourite call of duty mission, truly played it like a 100 times when I was younger

the vorkuta kill two armoured guys was a struggle for me too. took me half an hour till i just tried using the ks, then it was a breeze after that. the NVA hill was another, aswell as underground the Ascension rocket. i also got trapped in a death loop in the mission you interrogate the guy as hudson and with weaver at the end of the mission. luckily i got out of falling endlessly

as someone who platnium / 100% all cods from ghosts to mw2 2022 I have to say the older cods ( world at war - mw3 ) are much harder to 100%/ platnium but I will preserve lol im also trying bo1 100% on steam, but hands down hardest vetren campaign without question is world at war nothing comes close

World ate War, and the first three are probably the hardest ones. Basically any ww2 one XD the first one is so hard I literally broke a controller in rage trying to complete 10 years ago.

I beat a handful of call of duty's on veteran now, most are pretty fun and I would even consider pretty easy once you beat it the first time, but black ops nearly broke me. In any other game if I failed, I always felt like there was a good reason. Maybe I tried to rush through a part, maybe I wasn't paying attention, usually the issue was always on me. But I swear black ops is so unfair at times. I could be playing so cautiously and taking my time, or just doing everything I could as efficiently as possible, and still die. I remember the part on rebirth with the turret almost made me quit my playthrough. Theres just so many people shooting at you from so many angles, I must have died close to 11 times on a single turn in the road. Finally once I was about to give up, I miraculously made a checkpoint that seemingly hadn't been there prior, and got through it. It just sometimes feels so luck based and unfair, I would definitely say black ops 1 takes the cake for most difficult campaign thus far. Even WAW is a cakewalk compared to BO1 in my opinion.

I didn’t find BO1 on Vet too hard. There’s always something about these campaigns on Veteran that stays with you. Waiting for the extraction in Pripyat on COD 4, Heart of the Reich in WAW, Burger Shot Town in MW2 etc. Nothing in particular stood out to me in BO1 though. Maybe that’s just me
