Few minor things. Mainly story things 1. Fabiana is Rodrigo's wife not sister. She also gets murdered by Serrano. You do not save her. 2. Giovanna (her sister and the one who drives the bus) is the one you save. She leaves with Passos. Still though, good run.

These hardcore ultra rare achievements are impressive in and of themselves, but completing them on an old hardware in 30 fps with gamepad is just next level, I applaud you.

11:42 You were right to think there were only 3 enemies, the slow motion kills are reserved for the last enemies on a floor/room. No idea why that random dude appeared out of nowhere 23:09 If i remember correctly those guys spawn if you don't kill the 2 guys in the truck silently or get spotted, it's not a bug

There's an option to turn off any weapons attachments like lasers and flashlights (atleast in pcs, but I strongly think it'd be on the consoles too)

The second run wasnt ended due to a bug lol. The guy didnt die when you shot him. He stumbled, thats why no time was added. What a legend for completing this!

Not related, but as a Portuguese, it's pretty cool to know what the other characters say in brazilian portuguese, also knowing max as no idea what the hell they're saying😂

Fun Fact: The beginning of Chapter 5 can be completed almost entirely in stealth. You can shoot the wheel chock on the truck to take out the first 2 guys in 1 shot too. I remember almost choking in the final airplane battle by missing too many shots. Walked away to calm down and cried when the win screen came up. I'm also pretty sure one of the Dpad buttons toggles the laser sight on weapons.

Yeah… for some reason the console port (at least on Xbox) is really buggy as I encountered the same loading bug at the Branco offices multiple times on my runs . Luckily when I tried it on PC everything worked fine and I got the achievement tonight actually.

You might have too little RAM or some weak CPU, I mean I never had 99% of the bugs you had and I played this game countless times (my total playtime is 150 hours). 26:40 You can turn off the laser in every weapon same with flashlights, I think it was SELECT on consoles and B or H on PC (the other one was switching shoulder) and you can crouch ingame and even rolling in every direction which helps on open fields with a lot of gunmen. EDIT: oh sh!t sry didn't realise you were playing on console, that explains everything.

In the start of the chapter in the docks and the river, you have to kill those 2 guys in the car without them firing their weapons, If they do fire, It will appear those other 3 guys, theres no bug there And in the end of that chapter in the office, there are only 3 guys in that Room, you probably didnt kill that last Guy with a headshot, since they have bulletproof vests, i dont think It was a bug In the chapter that you died because you didnt have ammo, exactly on that Room you died, It has a ammo suitcase to fill your Guns with rounds... In the same chapter a bit before that you have one of those hand SMGs without that annoying laser targeting that you can pick, then you pass through the other ones to fill its ammo clips... But all the rifles and the other SMGs have the laser targeting

11:37 I had this issue before at this part as well. It is only three guys, but one of them has a chance of surviving a shot. I noticed your timer didn't increase upon killing that third guy. I really think it's just bad luck and not bad skill in this part of chapter 6. The game even bamboozled you into thinking you killed him because of the kill camera, but I learned eventually that that final killcam can't always be trusted. Remember that part at the end of chapter 7 where just before reaching Serranos' pad, a guy shoots a rocket at you? Well, I shot at that rocket and the camera tracked my bullet and it MISSED the rocket. It flew past me and blew up, completely turning my health bar red, Mac ragdolled, then I had a sliver of health. Thank Christ I was carrying 8 or 9 painkillers. Lesson: final kill cam may not necessarily guarantee the fight is over.

this game is one of my all time favorites like i bought it on 360 twice(the cd was broken lol) and even on steam but this achievement really pushed me especially cuz my game kept crashing around chapter 9-10 and like it took me a whole ass month to complete it

Favorite game, non ironically love the unskippable cutscenes and will probably play until the emps drop and fry my pc

I'll attempt this achievement whenever I feel like I'm mad in the head but until that day I'll congratulate you on this victory, your persistence and not giving up is truly commendable because honestly I would have given up...👍🏻👏🏻 (to anyone seeing this and want to try and get this achievement, remember: dual welding is cool-looking but absolutely unnecessary before Brazil as it consumes the HELL out of your ammo, you Can turn off the laser on the guns and also take your painkillers and don't trust last stand system as sometimes it stabs you in the back; best of luck to you!)

I got to the last section of the airport 4 times before doing it. It was among my most difficult gaming achievements.

In Chapter 5 where enemies in very beginning, if two enemies notices you, or you kill them out loud, it'll trigger to spawn three-four enemies where you've encountered 2 times. So... it's not a bug, it's sorta feature.

Brother, doing this shit, which requires pin-point accuracy and aiming precision, at 720p 30fps with a controller is just fucking *mad*

I'm usually pretty big on getting most of the achievements for any game I buy, but most of the ones in this game were just too frickin hard for me. Or at least so difficult that they aren't even worth bothering. I think I put a weekend into trying a few with zero success or progress back in the day and was like, i'm done.

I came here to watch the struggle since every person that played this either didn't do New York Minute Hardcore or had a terrible time with it, I personally didn't find it that difficult. But you're playing on a controller with no aim assist, that explains it haha. Full respect for doing it on controller with no aim assist, I would never do that myself. A few observations I have though: On chapter 6 Part 2 with those 3 guys you have to kill and then an extra guy appearing? I have never seen that before I always get just those 3 guys, unlucky. On chapter 5 start with those 3 extra guys appearing right after you kill the 2 next to the truck, those guys actually do appear every time you take too long to kill the first 2 because they're alerted by the gunfire. You can actually turn off the laser sight for all guns, I don't know what button it is for controller though. Not that any of these things matter though, you got it and well deserved.

The furthest I got on hardcore was Panama, but when the zipline section came, Max just bugged out and died. That was the last time I attempted the run and it made me question all of my life choices.

Christ i know this one by heart. I was determined to get this one after going through hardcore and old school mode in the campaign but for some reason i keep getting the infinite loading screen in my PC when i reached the Chapter 6 Part 2. I deleted eventually because i dont see a reason to keep trying at that point. I still try it if i find a solution to the issue but for now. Even if temporary.

There was another RU-vidr who completed this run who never actually realized you could turn off the damn laser sight by pressing the select button. Or isn't opening the weapon wheel and pressing the select button. Whatever man, I know you can turn that thing off I would do it for every time I picked up one of the laser sites. That is such a sad flaw in an otherwise great performance.

I was doing this achievement for like 6 month but for me it was fun. I was learning new starts and I also learned how to avoid some glitches. To me there should be New York minute SUPER HARDCORE where it’s the same as NYMHC but you play on the highest difficulty level

Remember getting this achievement back in July 2023 on PC after 7 attempts. Thank God Free Aim restriction is useless on PC.
