The biggest thing Im noticing here is that you arent melee range at all. You played it at precisely midrange the entire time. That seems like it may be the class’s sweet spot when not using proc sets. Going melee distance may need more procs
100% If you use proc sets you then will be in melee range as the ones that compliment the class are typically melee. You could use stuff like marsalok, vate destro or masters dual wield but that works on any class to be honest. I wanted to make a build that 'felt' like the class and not just loads of proc sets. I would say that using proc sets for damage though would give you more killing power but I personally feel that isn't in the spirit of the class or game. I'd rather have something a little less effective but more rewarding to play than use something that carries the player.
Yeah - when you stack beam and meteor it is disgusting! I bursted a dk who had 34k hp in 2 seconds from the meteor landing. It was insane! Video already recorded and edited on Patreon and RU-vid in a few days!
How effective would a 1bar oakensoul pvp build be on arcaniest?..I wanted to try a pure magic version with a Breton using masters inferno blood spawn with trainee jewelry and draugkins grip on body,or dadrick trickery’s on body.

The follow up bg has 2000+ cp players and I go 20-4. I can't control the MMR it puts you in but the point is that it works and kills people. Will it kill veteran players unlikely without proc sets for damage.

Cant wait to Give this class a good seeing to when its released for console. 8 days to go. Got my lvling gear ready to go Order's Wrath paired with Heartlands. I do like doing the overland content with a new class so I can get a good feel for its capabilities in all aspects of the game. will give psijic line a miss though done it once and crowned it on all my other classes lol
@@Masons3781 use acuity and heartland. Faster levelling. I'd also suggest farm keys in sciveners Hall but don't spend to get prep for mythic lead from there.
I personally prefer it - you get faster fights, more varied players and the modes mean you can find and fight in different ways i.e. objective modes forces people to split so you can get good 1v1s or 1v2s whereas deathmatch is all about grouping for many people.
@@Unified-Gaming Most importantly you get constant action. You're not on edge and you don't risk encountering ridiculous groups of 20 people casting Radiating Regeneration and Echoing Vigour.
@@johnathanmanuel780 The general rule of thumb is you dot them then use your flail as your spamabale / execute and repeat. Dawnbreaker between for loads of damage i.e. heavy attack into dawnbreaker into flail.
@johnathanmanuel780 is this on arcanist specifically. If so you need to rotate your help and shields. Rune guard of freedom is your heal with runemend/vigor then the shield as a burst heal when low. Shield - heal - shield- heal as you move around.
I love your buids but its hard to follow when you jump around from armor to skills. I don't know what traits I need to wear for this which has caused me to look at another build.
Reinforced on head, chest and legs OR impenetrable. Reinforced passive defence always active. Impen passive defence and reduced crits by more helping stop big spikes. Well fitted on the rest of the pieces. I have changed the build to a newer version which has a lot more damage. A video is on the way and screen shots and stuff are in my discord. There's also a stream of it on RU-vid showing it too. Hope it helps!
Im kinda sad. Im a dk main and i was looking for something fresh to get my motivation up again but after watching and reading a lot of content before patch i decided against buying and building an arcanist. My experience so far is - and you name it, in 1v1 the arcanist cant keep up with a dk as it is for now.
It is mainly because dk is honestly the strongest class in pvp. It has such a strong class kit with great ults, and the burst heal is insane. As such, you can run anything on a dk and do well, whereas an arcanist needs specific sets and skills to work. I have done more testing and have a setup that can burst a dk and compete vs them so keep an eye on the channel!
@@casualgamer5863 I used it in duo play and group play fine. It does have the issues with range as most your skills are really mid-range or less. I find that you use this more as a support build where you focus on debuffing targets, hitting them with snares/stuns and aoe cleave damage whilst healing/shielding allies.
@@Herbzy- RU-vid and occasionally twitch. I do stream in my discord from time to time where I test stuff too - more of a closed thing to just see how the build/class feels. With my stuff, I always aim to say how it is. No bull or anything. The build works and kills people using class skills. If you used procs sets like way of fire, vate destro or masters dual wield and marsalok then you'd have more killing power for sure. That said, I didn't want to play like that so chose not to. I also found this works as a support class in all honesty, especially in cyrodiil/IC as it doesn't have burst but rather large aoe cleave damage skills with beam and the flail/dread skill. I'd say the class is kind of like a magden/magcro hybrid - not doing either better nor worse and having similar issues with confirming kills without procs.
Shield should be on main bar. Too many bugs, glitches and lag, to relly on bar swap. It may work on casual bg, but in Cyro madnes will be the main reason you die.
I don't have issues with it back bar as it isn't a large shield for long like sorc but is just 1s large then smaller longer. Treat it as a pseudo burst heal.
