It's probably because you're playing zero build, i see a lot of people pick up the pump in builds. The auto and pump are more equal there, but at the end of the day it comes down to playstyle.
I think it's less the Pump needing a buff, more the Frenzy needing a nerf. It literally does Tac Damage with Drum Shotgun firerate. I would like to see it replaced with a normal Tac-Style shotgun, then the meta would be really fun, diverse and balanced. Maybe add the Dragon's Breath Shotgun and Charge Shotgun, and we got a banger Shotgun meta.
The fact that Peter McSniffins pump only does 190 and not 200 is crazy, meanwhile the random tigers shotgun is doing 137 with an extremely fast fire rate.
Frenzy shotgun dps needs to be decrease by 50% and even than itll probably still be strong as it will tone it down to around the drum shotgun strength and we all love the drum shotgun😒

The fact that a mythic pump gets out damaged by a green auto shows you somethings wrong with the balance. The auto shotgun feels like the weakest gun when you use it but when its you against it it just melts you
the auto shotgun is too powerful theres no point on this because the gray auto shotgun hits 107 so its two shot in builds and the mythic pump is two shot too the auto shotgun needs atleast a 20 damage nerf every rarity and the pump atleast 10 damage buff and a much more consistent damage because u see people like pxlarized hit a lot of times 30 and 40 with the pump and then they use the auto one time and the minimum they hit is 80 edit: both gold and mythic pump hit 190 so the golden is better because u can use the attatchments u want and also use the laser which gives u more accuracy and a more consistent damage
why do i feel this on a spiritual level. maybe its a skill issue tbh but everytime i use it its a fucking pea shooter, YET everytime i get MELTED by it
One shot sniper seasons and an auto shotgun meta are usually bad seasons. Seasons like chapter 4 season 1 and 2 had pump and ar metas and it felt more skill based. So hopefully next season a better pump is added
i think the main problem with the new pump is the spread pattern. if you compare it to the old pump, you can see that is has less pellets and the spread pattern is odd
Can't you make the same argument for builds but with the pump instead of the auto shotty? It's just like anything having a diverse loophole some it is going to be better than others in certain situations yk. Maybe a better argument is sniper over pump all the same things but one has range to combat it's fire rate and 200 head with green rarity.
they litterally need to nerf the frenzy and buff the hammer pump like dude you can't just spam and 2 shot kill someone it's like if an ar did 120 damage per shot
Let alone the fact that finding legendary variants of either gun are near impossible. I’ve only ran into five pump legendaries, let alone only 2 Auto Shotties making the mythics basically the only high level past epic you’ll find.
Bro the pump is so good in builds cause you can edit and shit so you have protection. In no builds the auto shotgun is better ofc haha. So it doesn’t have to be buffed I think
the frenzy auto doesnt need a nerf tbh i think its just that the pumps this season are trash, a full meatshot should not require a headshot just to pass 100 damage ESPECIALLY when the current aa12 can do as much dmg as it does
I feel like the gold pump should do at least 200 max damage and mythic somewhere above that. The constant need to switch to a different gun to finish an opponent is like second nature to people now. But that being said it doesn’t make sense when you have a grey pump and can’t one pump with a gold, very odd values. (These values are slightly more redundant in zero build considering more health but even then that seems like more of a reason for it to break white health.)
I disagree with this statement that there is a gap between power of the shotguns. There IS a real balance , if you use their strengths. 1. First delay(when , for example, we edit the wall and we shoot from the shotgun ,there is a little delay with an animation of taking shotgun in the hands): In the new pump , there is LITERALLY NO FIRST DELAY! You can edit , shoot , and reset the wall in just 0.5 seconds!(while with normal pump it took 1,5 seconds!)*approximate*. This is the biggest strength of the pump. 2. Combos: The new pump is designed to be used with an smg , we use Pump as a litteral "hammer in the second hand" , to make a decent damage for the opponent , and to finish it with an smg , and the again use the "Hammer", if the opponent is not killed(I wonder Fortnite called the Pump "Hammer Shotgun" , because of this ability lmao). 3. Superiority in different modes: I agree , that Frenzy Automatic is OP in Zero build, making 260 damage in just 2 fast headshots. But in build mode it sucks, only if you choose to play risky and trying to go 50/50s(you should play like that with Frenzy). And that is literally a gamble of the game. The pump is more , really more efficient in a Build Mode , and used in a more protective way (properly) , with First Delay and using smg. While HJDoogan played only Zero Build , he didn't use its full power. 4. Damage: We saw at the beginning of the video, what damage the Pump and Frenzy do. In Build Mode , for the kill, you need: 190 from pump(mythical) + a single bullet from any of the weapons(any rarity, even gray), takes twice less time that 2 shots from Frenzy 136 damage. In Zero build Frenzy still does in two shots , and with Pump it's 190 + 1 burst from Burst SMG. A little longer that Frenzy. To conclude all this: Pump easily takes over Frenzy in Build Mode , while in Zero Build its a complete opposite. So , yeah, this comment is so nerdy even I didn't expect to write so much , but you should not underestimate pump lovers😂❤️
TBH, with you for zero build players I've found the Mythic auto shotgun pretty broken but in builds its just flatline a$$ and having a pump hitting for at least 67 or 89 in a build fights are pretty balanced for me.
The auto got everything. It got range, it got damage and 8-12 bullets at your disposal. I'm like 20m away and they still beaming me. No chance. No skills just spam
I seen people complain about dying to the frenzy because they beleive its a lack of skill, as if the ass pump has a magic angle, dude the frenzy can wipe whole squads if you switch to burst smg also like you dont even need to build just frenzy shotty and jump in 😂 even letting your enemy jump in for a 50/50 can show how broken the frenzy is also 😂 just give us the real pump lol they waste all the time on these ass pumps man we only want 1 lol
@@HJDoogan it seems like epic is trying to fully cater to no-builds players with guns like the auto and maps with complicated poi’s. They are making the game to easy with the bots too, I don’t want to watch a yt vid where the player is killing ai the whole time. There are only 2 creators I can watch now who don’t play ranked. 1 being you and the other being Noah.
No one wants that 💩 in zb but on builds it hot, a lot of the time I quick scope a head shot with the frenzy auto with the red dot its broken it got 1.75 multiplyer and the pump has a 1.85 the pump feels weird to hip fire and jump shot but quick scope I hardly miss max damage head shots
yeah I've literally started only running the pump shotty. I'm boycotting the frenzy it's just too broken. i feel like a no skill player when i use it it just deletes people instantly. its range is crazy too I'll get melted in 2 seconds at 20 meters but the pump does like 12 at that distance.
5:32 i'm having the same Hitbox issue.. i aim at the head but doesn't counts as HS.. c'mon. If we hit something like neck and upper should be counted as hs but apperantly not on fortis 😔
Has anyone used the new customizable default skin I bought one and made it nothing but black and playing a few games with it. It's crazy how very little people can hardly see you even with the sheath camo with the weapon skins
To be fair the frenzy shotgun is better with no build and the hammer is meant for building. If I shot with the hammer shot gun you need a stray weapon, but since the frenzy doesn't need a stray weapon you can just spam it and it makes it better in no build
Auto shotgun is 100% broken this season and i cannot beloeve it hasnt recieved a nerf. Like i expected it to get nerfed the same update the sniper got nerfed on but no. They just hate the pump this season.
I literally predicted before the season began to my friends that the frenzy would prob be broken seeing its a drum round base shotgun and who knew its the only thing we use in every match because the pump is just so ass
statistically, if not considering the drop rate of different rarities, he would have had a 1 in 243 chance of getting all those weapon rarities right in the vault
I usually run the pump in zero builds but then I get reminded why the other shotgun is better to use. They definitely need to buff the pump to even come close to competing with the auto shotty.
