I have the Viar 40047 400P-RV in my truck, no RV, since most fueling stations don't have pumps that go up to 80#. It works great for when I'm not at home and don't have access to my large compressor in the garage. I paid $208 for it 7 years ago and it's $315 now.

I like the fact that it's super quiet as well. I def wouldn't pay $300+ for it, though. If I had to buy a new one now, it would brobably be a DeWalt battery operated one where you can connect it, set the target pressure, and walk away.

I guess I'm too frugal to consider paying $400 plus for an air compressor when I can use a Milwaukee M18 portable 18v battery operated. I've never seen anyone mention the Milwaukee, Dewalt, or Rigid systems for RV travel use. The plus with those systems, I can set the desired pressure, attach the quick connect chuck and walk away. No more squatting down and hand actuating the pump. What am I missing? Thanks for the video Jeremy.

I agree on the price. I wouldn't have the Viair if it wasn't gifted to me. I'm too cheap as well. Lol. Changing Lanes did a piece on the DeWalt air compressor. If I was in the market for a new one, that's probably what I'd get.
