The fact that alliance server players are resorting to straight up cheating as a security measure against rogue ships is insane to me. If that starts to become a well-known thing that a lot of alliances end up doing, it could potentially be pretty bad for them.
Rare should implement a system for when there is a 5 ship alliance, the 6th ship should join the game, maybe just literally take top hourglass players and task them with hunting the alliance, that would end this alliance server crap.
@@jominerman5524 if say server limit would increase by one every time the whole server is in alliance they would abuse it to make super giant server alliances if however the more ships is in alliance of the same server it would be more likely for hourglass battle to happen on this server and its always high streak battle then yeah it would be epic server alliances would be doomed fear will keep them in line
@@user-wr6dj4ib9owell we had a galleon try the same shit soon as the normal players got off whos only concern is in game money the pvps come out and believe me the galleon didn’t stand long and they came back twice to the exact same result certain servers will help and protect the alliance more then others and it’s these ones you will struggle with either way tho content is amazing as good as it is 5 ships earning all that money watching that one ship come and take it from each one by one is even greater I love the way u casually fly around ships taking people out
I like how you and partner have probably 3000+ hours across all your accounts but moments like 9:40 still make you react like that. The pure excitement at ruining all their hard work, there really is no other game like this
Dude today my brig team did the fotd twice and made an alliance with another brig, but they betrayed us after we beat the second fotd, and they said "if you want to be better, you have tp trust no one" oh that made us mad, so we catched them at reapers, and boom we destroyed them.
@@slvrshore5300 if you want to kill monsters and get loot without any threats there are a thousand other games designed for that. sea of thieves is a pirate game. get used to piracy.
Your blunderbomb did nothing to that one guy because of Server Corrections, which is an intentional system. Essentially, the game's visuals are rendered clientside to provide a smoother visual experience (this is a system dedicated to viewers, not players), with less teleporting and such. What this means is, however, your projectiles and player/ship positions are being rendered independently of what the server is 'seeing', so the two will on occasion not line up. This _would_ be relatively fine if not for the fact that the players in this game are either erratically moving in all combat or on a ship that's moving constantly on the waves, causing some very complex movements that the clientside rendering cannot accurately display, though it does do its best. I believe hit markers run on a _separate_ version of this same system, hence their ridiculous inconsistency. This helps in visible ways - with the ping you had, things weren't always teleporting, and this system is why, though it does have limits. But it hurts a lot more when the gameplay relies a lot on things being visible. What does this all mean? It means: -Hit registration is fine (it does get worse at times but that's a separate issue and only really shows itself with a _lot_ in one area, even three ships it usually handles) -It means that these systems are functioning as intended and thus not slated to ever be removed -It means that Rare focuses more on making watching the game fun than they focus on making playing the game fun I dunno what the fuck was going on with those beacons. I'm not even going to begin to try to explain that.
i feel like rare gave up on the pvp side and just said "fuck the pvpers HELLO RP COMMUNITY", making it far more enjoyable to roleplay than to pvp in their pvp game due to the rendering system and general inconsistent damage though hitreg does honestly just sucks
@@sunnywunny The game is designed to be watched, not played. That's the secret to their ridiculous decisions. That's the core of this. RP is.. the core concept was to do whatever you want, and they definitely support that too. Certainly more fun than some kinds of gameplay options.
At 22:18 - since you can see their alliance on the map, can you also raise their "Offer Alliance" flag and raise your own to let yourself into the alliance?
