📋 INGREDIENTS:
For the dough:
250 g (8.8 oz) honey
125 g (4.4 oz) butter
2 eggs
375 g (13.2 oz) all-purpose flour
100 g (3.5 oz) ground hazelnuts
2 tsp cocoa
6 g (0.2 oz) lemon zest
16 g (0.6 oz) baking powder
15 g (0.5 oz) gingerbread spice
100 g (3.5 oz) currants, dried
For painting:
Some Milk
100 g (3.5 oz) flaked almonds
5 tbsp strawberry jam
For the icing:
200 g (7.1 oz) dark chocolate
1 tbsp vegetable oil
100 g (3.5 oz) hazelnut kernels
Baking instruction:
Bake: 180°C (356°F) 20 minutes on top/bottom heat
Baking pan: diameter of 30 cm x 35 cm (12 in x 14 in)
💡 STORAGE TIP:
If you don't finish everything right away, the cake will stay moist and delicious in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
