Playing the Assassin build has been the most fun I've had in this game for a while. Just run around a pallet of cement and the zombies lose you, it's great. The outfit combined with nightstalker mags/hidden strike/from the shadows is a wonderful thing!

Your Horde Night videos are totally awesome, with the music, slo-mo scenes (i.e. zombies falling) and the camera work outside of your horde base. If there was ever an "Academy Awards" for RU-vid, you would get my nod of approval. It is great to see that the assassin outfit has such great stealthiness. I doubt it. They might nerf it a little, but they're finally giving us stealth players a way to deal with the unavoidable swarm triggers. Stealth has always been powerful, it's just that now it's even more powerful because of the new armors and people are noticing.

The 10% increase of archery is multiplicative with your stealth dmg modifiers. So a 10% increase multiplied by your dmg increase could be more effective dmg, especially with higher lvls of hidden strike.

Nah. Stealth is still broken, only in the opposite direction it was before. :) I think it's the perks invested in and not the gear, per se. Anyone know off hand if they changed? 'Cause I certainly don't. Never invested in them due to overuse of scripted events compared to mechanics. Scripts are great when used sparingly, but it's the mechanics that need to be ironed out in the underlying stucture of the game.

Those types annoy me so much, why would they care if something is op in someone else's playthrough. It's like they are offended that someone is doing good, if they think its op then they shouldn't do it in their game but don't try to ruin it for those of us that enjoy it because they think it's not hard enough for other players. Mini rant over. I'm just bitter because a different game I used to like has been nerfed to hell because of people screaming about things being op in other people's games

There are trigger places in POIs where you have to back up a bit until they lose you, because they just see you no matter of sneaking. I think it is more of a timer thing rather than you just runaway from their sight. Also, whenever POI has big places outside (roof, inside yard), it is better to wait for the night. This armor set works so much better at night.

Good god its hilarious how crammed grover high was. Now I really REALLY want to see your next series be some sort of muscle bound melee hulk smashing your way through the swarms of undead. Maybe an invincible brawler build revisit since now you can make critical hits significantly more rare with armor slot bonuses?

Outside during daylight is still kind of rough even with the full strength Assassin bonus. You have to lean heavily into run away and hide for a bit for it to work(open area POI's and fields suck). But at night, or when moving around in an unlit area inside its ridiculously powerful. Especially with some of the stealth focused magazines filled in/completed. Still need a separate horde night set and decent weapon variety since it doesnt really offer any benefits for that, which I like and provides some balance.

Playing full assassin myself as well, this setup is so OP. I m full at Agility all maxed out, full assassin armor and agility weps all tier 6 and I'm running down tier 6 infestations all day with 90% of the time only machete. Day 60 and permadeath , try it out. I'm literally staying on top of them without them waking up. And I always try to start the missions at night, daytime they sometimes wake up when there is light , on roofs for example. Great series man !

I think you'd really enjoy the loud and proud Fortitude Punchy build with the new 1.0 changes. It's what I did for my first world and full raider set, undying, punchtastic zombiefesting is the truth.

word of advice! your AP ammo pierces targets and damages blocks behind them which can wake the zeds! hipower rounds are really good for single target stealth damage but with how invisible you are, i can't imagine the AP ammo will give you much trouble

Ah yes, the question of when to craft a weapon or hold off, especially now they're so damn expensive to craft. I had that issue with bows. I ended up with the problem that my bow crafting skill was way higher than the amount of parts I had. In the end I just gave up and started buying all the bow parts when the traders had them and went from a tier 6 wooden bow to a tier 6 compound bow, completely skipping iron crossbow.

With the craft from containers, I keep all my steel in my forge output (or drone) and then just carry with me what I want to purposely upgrade. Kind of sucks when a block gets accidentally upgraded. Hopefully the assassins' outfit doesn't get nerfed as it's always been my preferred playstyle. :)

If you are not keen on the full set bonuses, I have found that Assassin Hood and boot with Preacher outfit and gloves is the best armor combination. Sneak damage, undead damage, increased sneak, and damage reduction from undead.

Great stealth! You're right, I didn't even see you there with your murderous intent! Stealth is a valuable tool now it would seem. With various night time perks like never encumbered and blades doing more damage to sleeping zombies I would have to agree that once one reaches a point where everything is either feral or radiated, questing at night is a great plan!

Yesterday, during a horde night, I was constantly getting the sneak bonus by firing with a Pipe Machine Gun, while crouching. With a Tier 2 Assassin armor set. It's amazing!

That was a great episode. I was thinking that you might want to consider using an automatic door and set it on a timer to continuously dump the zombies into the pit. Not sure how long you can make the delay on those, it might get annoying if the delay is too short but worth considering IMO. Anyway, get some rest, I'll take first watch, see you in the next one.

I haven’t even bothered with a full assassin set. Been rocking the helm for the sneak dmg bonus, the outfit to boost sneak effectiveness, then preachers gloves for dmg and commando boots for the run speed with stealth boot mods. With lvl 5 sneaking and sneak attacks, I just machete my way through the POIs. Anything that looks too dodgy to knife gets a compound bow shot to the dome. Can even sneak right up to dogs. Only downside is that you need to kite back a little further if you trigger aggro, though it’s basically the same. You just break line of sight and then wait 5-10 seconds and it normally does the trick. Sometimes I can just circle strafe zombies triggering sneak attacks

Wrenching stuff is a pretty nice money maker! It doesn't take long and piles of mechanical, electrical, polymer, oil, springs, etc. sells for a lot! I build a separate bunker in each biome just to store all these parts. I got nothing but time and the stuff is just laying around for the taking. I'm NEVER short of dukes and my inventory is never full of miscellaneous crap. I never sell extra weapons. I always break them down because the parts are worth far more to me. The iron from scrapping down things like the two million or so iron sledges I'm constantly finding is worth more to me being thrown into the furnace for more iron or steel ingots. Maybe other people like doing all the quests but I prefer just doing what I want to do, where and when I want to do it. Plus, I find it makes the apocalypse a much neater place 🙂! But that's just my personal opinion.

LOL - your looking to craft the assassin outfit by searching (ahem) the first three letters reminded me of 'overzealous cuss filters' I read about on some fora once. SO funny - did you know that Abraham Lincoln, poor fellow, was "buttbuttinated?" Don't get me wrong, feel free to want a space free of swearing if you like. THAT is hilarious. Assasin armor set is pretty OP. I have broken the AI a few times. Other times I had zombies full blitz at me through a POI while I was still hiding. Fun times.

For the robotic sledge couldn’t it go to the left of the fighting position so that it helps lighten the flow of zombies and helps that once you put a bleed effect on them they get shoved off

This is why stealth players learn to axe/ratchet/whatever lightsource TFP has placed right near many aggro trigger volumes and other places where you'll suddenly be in view of a nasty spawn you couldn't easily notice. They do it to "mark the path" in many POIs, but that path is SUPPOSED to get you into trouble. Always break them before you go through so you stay in the shadows!

The mod you need on your axe is the one that increases block damage but reduces enemy damage. Cannot remember the exact name, but the icon looks like an axe head.

Full t6 is super powerful. I am ok with losing zombies, but I feel a good balance is taking the d&d approach. If you're in a lit room, it doesn't matter how great your stealth is. You have nowhere to hide, so you will be seen 😆

Might try biker or ranger boots for next horde night. Either would help with stamina usage more than the nomads.

I think the problem you have with the fighting position is due to the electric wires not shocking the zombies that are crouched. In that position they can just hammer the lower blocks until they break.

So I know u hate the flying drone but they seemed to have fixed the A.I. so it goes to find u a lot better and if u wait a few seconds for it to stop behind u u can go into it’s inventory (u really need to wait for it to stop it will keep trying to stop behind u and hover for a bit, walking forward then turning around helps it’s A.I. figure out when to stop) u can free up so many spaces if u had a drone hold ammo a health. It would be cool if u looked into that. I found the one I’m using and it works great

Tip while looting while sneaking: Don't hit E to loot it jumps up your visibility, right click the loot to move instead and stay hidden.

I think, if TFP sees how much stealth can be OP and wants to fix it - rather than nerfing existing stealth bonuses to death, they should try reducing the amount of feedback the player gets about how stealthy they are. Some reduction in power is probably necessary, but just robbing players of the confidence they have in their own abilities will inspire more cautious play, especially if the stealth meter is inaccurate on top of being less precise.

To me stealth is a way more interesting way to do a poi. Sure it is OP but look at how people play alternatively. Just wake everything up and blow it all away. That's the main tactic I see by anyone I've played with on public servers and most streamers. With stealth you're actually playing the poi as intended. You're rewarded for strategizing and it can get intense being face to face in a crowd of sleepers. It makes me actually want to do missions where as otherwise I just ignore them because I can progress faster doing my own focused thing.

ramp 6 03 seems to have been working in my layouts.. they see it as a path but dont really beat on them... also look into the upside down U ladder top ya know the one on top of all the buildings.. forget what its called though.. they literally cant see that block.. ive done 4 high around a simple base to test.. eventually yes they swing in the air and damage one but it works lol i use i now as a drop block in doors in T6 quests for a bottle neck if the sitrep hits the fan
