Bijan has the potential to be beyond generational talent. We are lucky to see running backs like saquon, king henry or CMC in recent years, but bijan has talent to ascend the term "generational talent", pure instincts and body control at the highest level. The best part is, he is a truly incredible person, extremely kind and humble which seems to be rare in top athletes these days. I was fortunate enough to grow up watching him in highschool, he deserves all of his success.

Bijan is easily in the top 5 this year. Honestly I would probably take him right after McCaffrey. He’s one of the best RBs in the league playing behind one of the best O-Lines now in an offense where the QB will demand at least a bit of respect. They can’t just stack the box every play.

Lifelong Giants and Saints fan but man I’ve always been a fan of the falcons since the Vick era. Hard to root against my saints but I love what they’ve been building for years on offense and defense. Hope the Micheal penix pick works out, still a little of a head scratcher to me
@Falconsriseup
@Falconsriseup 2 месяца назад
I think it was to alot of people but i think watching what the Panthers did last year makes the pick make a heck of alot more sense. Panthers traded 2 1st's 2 2nd's and DJ Moore who is = to a 1st round value as well to move up for Young. The Falcons who were picking high in a top tier QB class doesn't expect to pick that high again in the next 2 years with Cousins at QB. So i ask people would you rather take a better QB prospect in Penix with 1 pick at 8 now. or in the next 2 years choose from weaker QB classes and have to trade up from like 18 to 32 into the top 5 for a worse QB prospects. Giving up as much if not more than the Panthers did within a year or 2. Long term a better QB prospect for 1 pick is a much smarter move for your franchise than giving 3 1sts and 2 2nd's for a worse QB choice. To me that 1 #8 player at either Edge or CB isn't worth 5 players over the next 3 years in picks 1 possibly being a vet like Aj Terrell or Pitts = to Moore like the Panthers did.

@@WilliamHaas69 I honestly think his best comparison i have seen so far and i think bucky brooks brought it up. When it comes to size, cutting ability, speed, balance, power, catching, and vision. Was Ladanian Tomlinson i see very similar play styles when i watch both of them. I also see a very similar play style in Tyler Algier as i did with michael turner. I think this backfield duo is quite comparable to that old school Chargers group.

As a Falcons fan I'm very happy with what we have but he does have limitations. I'm still not 100% sold that he is an effective every down back who can pound the ball between the tackles. He does exceptionally well in space but can't move a pile of big linemen. I also saw him go down way too easy from DL arm tackles. His vision helps him avoid those situations but when it all clogged he definitely can't bash 2 - 3 yards up the middle.
@davidwillis8623
@davidwillis8623 3 месяца назад
At Texas he was heavier and more of a power back, the Falcons asked him to slim down and be more fast and elusive, so he certainly has power, but they want him to be more of an explosive, flip the field type guy where he’s a dark horse to rip off a 50 yard carry at any time. Allgeier is the guy they want playing hard nose between the tackles when needed.

Bro you said it i got tired of trying to tell people Smith was using tyler and bijan against their strengths except against the packers you would see Tyler come in early downs run outside zone plays just for him to put bijan in for 3rd and 4 and run it up the gut… don’t get me wrong both backs can do both but when you have these 2 backs whos proven bijan is dangerous in open field and tyler is a freight train

Just as blasphemous as that is to say, I’ll say something just as blasphemous: Barry Sanders never faced this caliber of athlete.
@davidwillis8623
@davidwillis8623 3 месяца назад
We haven’t seen Bijan’s full potential yet, he had a lingering ankle injury last year similar to how Julio came into the league recovering from a foot issue. Bijan fully healthy is going to be hell on earth to stop. I would say he’s already the best player on the team and that’s with Chris Lindstrom on the roster.
@dicktrickle741
@dicktrickle741 3 месяца назад
He can be much more conducive to winning football than Barry. Barry was so hit and miss, and fairly underwhelming as a pass receiver. This guy gets the consistent reliable yards and is an elite pass receiver.

2 backs on the field is nothing new its old school football. For instance The Miami Dolphins ( during thier 17 - 0 ) season had 2 1000 yd rushers 1) Jim Kickk 2) Larry Czonka.

Although it pissed off fantasy owners and fans beyond measure, Arthur smith probably lengthened his career by not completely running him into the ground in his first year. Letting him grow into the workhorse role is best for longevity rather than forcing it too early.
@mas2913
@mas2913 3 месяца назад
That was last season…teams will be better prepared to for him so he must take his game to the next level. Most importantly, it’s not the quantity of the plays but quality that’s going to be key. Quality of play-calling by the OC will play into his success as well.
@jpscharged

Last year, there was no pass game threat. BIJAN IS GOING TO BREAKOUT this year with an elite pass game.
@davidwillis8623
@davidwillis8623 3 месяца назад
We will also have a much more lethal passing game which has more down field weapons, if teams try and stack the box they will let Pitts, Mooney and others eat, if teams try to sit back and keep everything in front of them, Bijan will go for 200 yards. It’s going to be ugly for teams to stop.

Strangely, he's a Good Reason that I _don't_ think that the Falcons will be much good as a team this year. They still don't have an identity, still refuse to try to build one out of this running game, & they're spending large amount of $ on low to mid-range talent as if they're trying to state themselves into being a Winning Team. It's the NFCS so they may win it. But it is literally The Only Division they have a chance to win in. Even without Canales the Bucs might be a better team.
