This is a clear and very good review not only of the product. You are definitely a good teacher and explained every thing that a would-be buyer wants. God bless your channel more, Mr. Edward Smith.
Thank you I almost returned it I didnt know I had to down load m audio. You are a life saver I just am doubting myself and thot I made a horrible decision. I will read the paperwork when I get off work. Thanks again so much!!!
This POS died on me after 3 months. It just stopped sending signal to DAW (I tried it on Pro Tools and Audacity). I can hear my bass and the playback in my headphones but it just doesn't record anything. I tried in on 2 PCs - same issues. NOT recommended.
great review. I have a problem with my m-track solo. everytime I record it sounds 1 semi-tone lower, I already installed the driver. thanks for the help
No mention of bit depth, this is a 16 bit interface, it's much easier to set levels with 24 bit especially for beginners. If you're buying an audio interface you probably want a step up from your computers 16 bit audio. Also the device is usb class compliant so is plug and play, drivers are only needed for ultra low latency.
Hi.. Thanks for the video! May i request on how to set-up yamaha keyboard to m-audio to record music in laptop? Also, on how to set-up the microphone to m-audio for vocal recording.. Thanks a lot!
Can you connect that USB into a Note 10 plus with a USB type C adapter? I rather use my dynamic mic to record audio straight to my voice recorder on my Note 10 plus.
Thanks for the video. that is very helpful. This will be a below-beginner level question but I couldn't find it anywhere and you jump straight to guitar sound test. How do I hear the sound of my bass on PC? I can hear it on M-Audio M-Track Solo using the DIRECT output and a headphone. So how do I get the sound (or using which application) using the USB switch?
If your midi keyboard can connect with a TRS connection then it will work. But this audio interface does not have midi out connections, so if those are the only connections you keyboard has then it unfortunately won't work.
Hi, hopefully you can help me. I bought this 2 days ago and when I try to record in audacity, it's very muddy and a bit static and very low noise. Pls help me :(. My mic is Kevler DM 950 supercardioid dynamic microphone.
So... I may have done something stupid where I tried to use the interface and my mic before installing the drivers. I have it installed now, but because I attempted to use it before hand does that mean I ruined the interface and it'll never work again? I'm recording in audacity and it's just gone all wrong. It only picks up left channel for some reason and nothing from the mic at all. I'm using at Audio Technia AT2020 mic. I have phantom power on but it won't pick up my voice. I think I ruined it but I'm not sure...
Sure would love to get to the point where you play and sing and it plays through your speakers and shows in mpc beats.....been trying for 7 months and still nothing. You didnt have to set up inputs and outputs under preferences? Im trying to play through my computers internal speakers but i cant get any sound. Help me if you can.
Hi, I've just ordered this audio interface after watching your great video. I make music just as a hobby, nothing big so I've been using very basic setup so far, a midi controller, computer and studio monitors connected directly via headphone input in the pc. But after upgrading my Mac mini to a new iMac M3, it turned out the sound on the latter one is oversaturated, especially in the high range, even in my studio headphones which makes all work, particularly mastering actually impossible (equaliser etc; had to low pass the whole final mix to achieve "sort of a neutral sound). Tried to connect the headphones via usb as I read it bypasses the sound card but not much changed. My question is, is the sound going through this audio interface more neutral and mastering friendly so I can apply the eq and other polishing stuff in a real time without low passing and other tricks to get an effect I exactly hope to get. Sorry for a lengthy comment but have literally nobody to ask and couldn't find unequivocal answer anywhere online. Thank you so much in advance; obviously liked and subscribed.
I'm trying to use my headphones as a mic because they have a mic but it doesn't work unless I use it over bluetooth, how can I use this to do that? It only came with a usb cable
Can you plug the headphone out from a phone into the instrument input to play along with songs? Also a dumb question, can you plug the USB cable into a power socket adapter to power this?
Amazing Video on M track Solo "Ed" ☺ and I recently bought one for me... Just one thing I wanna ask I have a Home theatre sound box and it have a RCA to TRS cable included with it too and obviously they aren't studio monitors, can I connect them to my M track Solo audio Interface?? And will it work even?? I have this question in my mind from so long... I searched for a video on this which gives an answer but I didn't found any.... I hope if you have answer for this question and if you make a video on this will be more appreciated... 😊
How do i set it up SO that there is no latency,i was recordó g on Audacity and was off, and i managed to record but the plugins or the pedal won't sound on the speakers only till i hit play to what i recorded, this another question maybe You know, i bought a recital Alesis piano has a usb but how do i connect it? Need a driver? Or something, there is no info about it.
is he still answering questions? I just bought it, only downloaded Pro Tools and the drivers. i play electric guitar, what software should i use to emulate an amp?
Went out and got one after watching this but it doesn’t work😭 the signal lights stay red and I can’t hear anything but a constant tone. Does anyone know the problem?
Hey a question can i set a diffrent output like for examples my speakers that are plugged in laptop rather and use input from interface to record guitar? Main point is that does the software let you set diffrent output than audio interface
hello Eduard maybe you can help. the pro tools is not included in downloadables any idea? sorry i am a beginner and dont know if it is necessary as it is now the sound is very low a lot of delay and strong echo thanks
i did this and i still don’t hear audio, it’s like it’s not even on i don’t know what to do i got a new interface and a new cord and still nothing can’t even hear any sound
Do you know how to get it to recognize the mic as a separate line outside of a DAW that supports this? Not all software supports this and when using as a just general mic in windows it only recognizes it as the left ear of 2 inputs.
Hi, I've downloaded the drivers but there is no signal input and output from the audio interface..while I'm using it with my basic software "Audacity"... Can you explain why this happened?
Any experience with Android?. I only have a new Android tablet running Android 11. There are many multitracking apps for Android now like Cubasis3,FL studios, Bandlab, Roland Zentrack for android. I'm wondering about compatibility of this M-Audio interface or do you have any other recomendations?
I downloaded the drivers and connected the device. I'm connected with my earphones. How come I don't hear any sound? Do I need to have the program open to hear sound? What program is that?
So me and a friend of mine are looking to record some home demos using MPC beats, I need to get an audio interface so that I can record my guitar parts but I’m wondering if there’s a simple way to record the electric drumkit using the same interface? Or would I have to buy a bunch of different stuff. For reference, this is a Yamaha DD-65 electric kit (I know what you’re thinking, but we’re making do with the equipment we’ve got) any help on finding the easiest/most simple way of recording with both these instruments is greatly appreciated. TIA
what are your thoughts on Behringer UMC22? Do you think M-track solo is sill better than UMC22 ? I am pretty confused between these 2..can you please help me out with it ?
Hi, can i connect normal headphones (i have gaming headphones razer blacshark v2) i want to buy m-track solo instead of duo because it have mini jack and i have no money for real studio headphones. Sorry for my bad english.
