Man, I appreciate you looking out for us low budget PC builders. Not many people on the internet really give good recommendations (with this much ACTUALLY USEFUL information, mind you) for us who don't really have the budget to spend on a 7900 xtx or 4090, which people like LTT seem to recommend like anyone could afford them, even though they acknowledge that most people usually don't spend that kind of money anyway. for any that like fact checking comments (there's nothing wrong with helpful criticism) and find that my comment is errored: it is the 'atmosphere' they give off, or was for a while if not anymore.
Thanks for saying so! We wouldn't be forced to consider sorta oddball weird GPUs like this if the manufacturers weren't ignoring the low end like they are. There's no reason a new builder shouldn't be able to find a decent $100 gpu. Until then I have no problem recommending older gpus like this, especially since they're salvaged with new chips and coolers and backed by a company with an actual RMA process.
I literally bought the Aisurix RX 580 on Amazon a week ago, same model and everything and it complete made my computer look better from the old 4gb GPU I had in there since 2016.
I found one in a return bin store for $8. Well my son found it. Someone had cut the Aisurix graphic off the front of the box and slapped a rainbow friends sticker on it, and him being 5, picked it up and brought it to my attention. NICE! Mine smells like burnt plastic too.
Hats off to companies like aisurix for seeing a HUGE GAPING GAP in the mid to low end gpu market and taking advantage. SJS also seems okay, I have ordered a 5500 xt from them as well as a RX 590. I also own the Aisurix card in the video (580) and aside from it needing new thermal paste. its a really good card price to performance wise. I have had zero issues from any for them so far.
The one thing I am hesitant on is that, at least when it comes to the retro emulation handhelds, if they know they're sending out a unit that's going to be reviewed, they will send a better-than-expected unit. Ah who am I kidding, I'm not looking for a GPU at all at the moment so I'm not hesitant at all.
Two things to keep in mind with the 580 2040SP vs the 6500XT: PCIe 4 and hardware encoding/decoding. The 6500XT uses PCIe 4 x4 connection, which is fine if someone's PC has a 4.0 compatible motherboard and CPU. But for those putting a budget GPU in an older PC, maybe a pre-built they bought and upgraded, the 6500XT won't run at it's full potential due to the lower PCIe 3 bandwidth. Another thing worth noting for older PCs is hardware decoding and encoding. The 6500XT doesn't have it, so their CPU will handle video playback. This might not be a big deal if by chance the CPU is something like a Ryzen 1700, 1800x or 2700x. But if it's an i7 older than CoffeeLake, that might be an issue for 4K videos. All of this said, and I know I'm a bit late given when this video was posted, but have you tried the 5500XTs that this company also offers on Amazon? They are RDNA 1, so a bit newer, still have hardware decoding and encoding, and are $140, so it might be worth the extra $20 if only for longer driver updates.
- "I will literally make any video that you ask me to make!" TechDweeb Fitness...? On the other hand... True dweebs and nerds doesn't work out, do they 😉...? Keep up the good work! I started as a fan since one of your RX 6400 popped up after ETA Prime's tiny gaming build.
Really good to know which of these GPUs is legit and which is a piece of garbage. As always your content is not only funny but it is rife with very relevant information for all of us techno nerds. Keep up the stupendous work!
Sir, I'm new to your videos! thank you for covering this review about this GPU. Here in the Philippines getting a GPU is very hard even the high-end GPU, However this Aisurix Rx 580 is available in online stores (like Shopee kinda like Amazon but for SEA version) i'm very skeptical to this GPU because i never heard of this brand when it comes to RX 580 GPU's like Sapphire or XFX. Thanks to your review i found out this could be good budget GPU incase the GPU price decide to lower the prices even for second-hand GPUs. Althought i willing to follow your advice and buy a good condition second hand 5600XT or 6600XT (if i'm lucky).
I have Aisurix Rx 580. Im from Philippine by the way. First purchase was a mess, i got a faulty one which freezes after 30-40mins of gaming, and then proceeds to black screen. I requested for a replacement and the transaction was smooth. I kinda happy about this card but if ever it fail, i got a secondhand sapphire pulse rx 570 8gb as my back up GpU. Would i still buy another Aisurix GPU? Nope. I would happily settle with secondhand GPU with reliable brand, given ofcourse if its from a legit and reliable seller. And if with a budget, i'll go for brandnew reliable brand GPU. But if you are on a very very tight budget, Aisurix aint bad. But be prepared for any not so good encounter. But the warranty and customer service is good tho.
hello, just got here, also,im having a terible experience with the aisurix 580 8gb, same ctuation, my pc freezes for about 10-15 mins, then black screen then reboots my pc, did every troubleshooting i found in the internet but it didnt fix, because i thought and just hoping its a faulty driver.. its really terrible.. right now, im about to return back my purchased defective aisurix gpu and hopefully, they change it with a better and working product.
I just ordered one of these cards from Lazada, I live in the Philippines. Lazada or Shopee is a better option for me. The local stores have a gigabyte branded rx-580 8GB like $240.00 usd, whearas this GPU is about $90.00 USD. I am having a little issue with my present used RX-580 I purchased about 2 years ago. All videos play fine, when trying to play any of the steam games, when they are loading they shut down my desktop. Hopefully this is the fix that issue. Out for now, good gaming everyone.
@@markkeyst Thank you for the comment. RX-580 2048 I ordered is working great. Come to find out the problem I as having, was because of a 600 watt PSU, not enough wattage. I know because I found a 750 wATT psu locally for a good price. No problem since I have replaced the PSU
@@dinod-americaninthephilipp9238 So it just draw so much power. So the recommended PSU of 500W is not enough. That makes sense though. Bec the rx580 is a bit power hungry. Thanks for the response. Game on.
i bought this Aisurix Rx 580 2048sp. 4400 Php around $87 in USD. It's best deal price to performance at 1080p gaming. DOTA 2 - 180fps avg - best looking NIER AUTOMATA - lock at 60fps avg - High settings - Anti aliasing SMAA
I read that they were defective RX580 cores with disabled cores to be the same core count as a RX570. Clock for clock and core for core though... The RX580SP is slightly more performance. I wouldn't say probably more than 2 or 3 fps in a game though.
Solid video. I live outside the usa and a 6600 is 270+ after exchange rate. This is under 100 so for lots of people on this planet, this is really a good option. Wages are lower here, most people cannot drop more than 600 dollars on a pc but they want their kids to have a pc.
I bought one of these card earlier this year. Unfortunately I got a bad one where it has an overheating issue. It can do basic internet browsing stuff but would crash within 10 minutes after running any mid - high end games.
Some Indonesian reviewer dismantled the aisurix Rx 580 one and they find out it is legit.... BUTT there's some signs that it might be refurbished because of some scratches in curious places, copper heat pipes that spray painted with chrome (which is very odd) and sloppy soldering oil marks on the PCB. It might be just poor build or bad QC. However it runs well and passed standard stress test without any problem. Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-raDlsppNpCs.html be aware that it's in indornsian. But the autogenerated english cc is decent enough
I bought this RX-580 a week ago & it showed up today. PS i paid $80 for mine.. 03/24/2024 gonna pare it with a i5-8600 some 3600Mhz DDR4 for a 1080P Rig for my youngest son.
The RX570 does 39.81 Gpixle/s while the RX580SP does 41.09 GPixel/s, and the RX580 does 42.88 GPixel/s. These are all at the stock clock speeds. Some graphics cards are factory overclocked and may perform a bit better due to that reason. I got one of these free and replaced my daughter's ASUS ROG STRIX RX570 4GB with the Aisurix RX580SP 8GB and it's basically the same speed and sometimes faster on more demanding games that can use the extra memory. The ASUS was factory overclocked though a bit so that is probably why it's basically the same performance.
Rx580 is good for 2yrs gaming if you use em everyday i have one before tho, now i bought one again since i don't really have budget and mid-high graphics in the games is enough for me, and this gpu is very recommended bcs its cheap
Hey TechDweeb! Thanks for this video, I wasn't really aware of the fact there were GPU manufacturers other than the usual guys with the brutally expensive prices! I'm running what I consider to be a potato computer (Highest I can run is Killing Floor 2 with all in low, and without having much else installed in my computer) and I'm going with no dedicated GPU, it's only using the integrated graphics from it's AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU. Would you say these graphic cards you talk about on this video be suitable for me rig and could help me run games like Ground Branch or Ready or Not?
Oh for sure, adding a 580 to that setup would be night & day difference. Look up some performance test gameplay for the games you mentioned with this gpu if you want to see how they'll do. The 5600g won't hold you back.
@@TechDweeb Awesome, thanks for your response TechDweeb! And keep up with your awesome content! I think it's very refreshing, you found your voice and style and that's so cool, keep up the great job!
The AISURIX RX580SP is basically the same size as the two fan version of ASROCK RX 6600. ASROCK has a single fan version as well though that you might look into.
@@TechDweeb yes it is the 8gb model and yea that's true depending on your market/location the one featured may be a fair deal and I'm glad they are being repurposed and not just in a landfill
2:28 Any video I want? 😈 I need a bootloader unlock test and gsi install on a retroid pocket 3 😂 plus it'll be fun to watch you learn a potentially new skill Also it seems I'm developing a que for you, this is my second request😅
@@TechDweeb if the bootloader can be unlocked, it's trivial to root and overclock or otherwise optimize for gaming. Plus a gsi can increase longevity on a device that doesn't get software updates for longer than a year
A new skill, are you kidding me? He can draw, he can paint, he knows how to build PCs and arcade machines. He is proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, he can twirl a pencil, he can produce and edit videos, he is good at testing all kinds of tech stuff, he is great at burger time, he is probably pretty good at eating a grilled cheese sandwich. What more do you want?
Bro, these card are $85 sometimes down to $75 brand new with waranty and the likes.. Its a steal. But the average version usually comes with worse temp compared to those for review, maybe better paste and pads for reviewer?
I've bought the aisurix and it worked fine on a 8 core linux machine. Now I bought a new system with the rog strix x670E-F motherboard and it turns it on and of and on and of. It seems not to work anymore. It should I think with a ryzen 7950 but it doesn't. At least not with linux
the RX580 is also a pcie 3.0 card while the 6500xt is 4.0. so in an older build the rx580 is an even better deal...add on 8gb of vram vs 4, thats a win :O. the only thing im worried about is longevity, how do you think these cards sustain over the years compared to say a nitro+?
Yeah, plus the RX 580 has a hardware encoder for recording game footage (the 6500 XT doesn't). The RX 580 is on a PCI Express 3.0 x 16 slot -- so it runs well on every desktop. The 6500 XT is on a PCI Express 4.0 x 4 slot -- so if you install it in an older motherboard (not 4.0), it runs awful with only 4 lanes on its PCIE bus.
Every time he posts a video, it makes me smile to see that the subscription count continues to grow and grow. I think it has everything to do with the quality of the content, the diversity of the content, and the humor. I am a huge fan of arcade builds. I like to see what others have done...and never left!
They are usually now $45-$70 on ebay used, and I think usually $100 for the 8GB RX 580SP on Amazon. I understand the lack of money with raising kids, it reminds me of my Wife using ancient computers and only 768Kbps Internet for the longest time back in the mid 2000's.
If your looking at the amazon pricing, it is yes currently $120, but if you look closely its on sale for $120 and normally priced at $160 so if you don't account for the sales price that is a $5 difference. If the price stays at the sale price, yes your right here, but if it doesn't then it goes back to being fps/$0.42
@@TechDweeb Ah I just got done looking at the price history for the product, and it has been onsale for $120 since feb 27th, and before that it was also on sale, for $123. In the last 120 days it has never not been on sale, and looking at the competitors with lesser known brand names it actually is more expensive, most are at the $103 mark but I can't get change pricing data on them which means either they have not changed in 30 days or they are new brands on amazon. The lowest its been in 120 days is $99.
I paid £45 off Ali for my one from Lexindar, I have tried and failed yet to make it even sweat let alone push it to a limit, Unigine Heaven Ultra managed a pretty good 30fps most times and it just never filled the vram up either.
Hello, I want to buy a very low GPU and I don't know what is better, RX 6500XT, RX 580 or ARC A380. Could you please make a review / comparison between them?
This review is Rife with inside jokes. But really, I'm tempted to get one but I already have a crapton of GPUs. Nice for the comparison with RX 6500 but don't forget, that 10th gen Intel you use to test is PCIE 3.0 so you probably lost a few frames in your comparison - this being said, a 45$USD price difference (even worse in Canada) ... keeps telling me that the RX 6500 XT is just overpriced for what it gives you. The ONLY reason I would favor the RX 6500 XT is driver longevity. At some point, maybe in a year, maybe in 3 years, AMD could stop supporting that gen of GPU (RX560/570/580) and only support RDNA based GPUs. Not likely in the immediate future but you never know.
Some games get hit by the PCIe 3.0 tax worse than others (SoTR is about 20%). Witcher 3 is barely any difference. And I think you're right. Actually it wouldn't surprise me if the end of support axe dropped on the sooner side, and it will probably be RDNA vs non.
you have to get the GPU chip to train its memory controllers to get all 8GB polaris architecture just FYI if you get only 3.?Giiglebytes or 5Giggles .. when a 99% complete not just on gpu usage charts but chip functions completion on record / you should get 4.??Gigglless and 7.9 to 8.2Giiglebytes out of a BURNED IN TRAINED AI SOFTWARE TUNED ...perfect RX580 / mine was a xfx 8gb 2304 / it slows down to complete all the streamproccesors so its why the rx580 2048 seams just as fast when in fact its not.
I own both a 6600 and a 6500xt. The 6600 is literally twice as good and will last twice as long and only costs 50% more. If you can’t possibly afford to step up than you also can’t afford to throw your money at a bad value product, and would be better served with either this gpu pictured or something on the used market
I'm actually curious, how does this match up against the integrated graphics on the ryzen 5 5600g? Cuz i know the ryzen 5 5600 is really popular with budget build since ryzen 5 5600 is powerful enough to run a lot of modern titles , and in my area, the price difference between the g and non g model is around 4 bucks
R5 5600 + RX580 will give you a difference like a night and day with using R5 5600G, You'd be surprised how powerful RX580. You won't go back to any APU anymore once you experience real graphics card.
Can u please try fortnite or sifu, im having serious stutter issue on those two 🙏 Already tried reinstalling driver, moving the game on ssd still got stutter issues
I think you got overconfident in the usage of the word rife, buying a product called Jisoonzer, well, it just had to be done. Jisoonzer. That sounds good. You can dedicate a video to it, just to be able to say Jisoonzer 20 times. You have my total understanding there. Make a video of squirrels polka dancing on your roof. You said you will!
i love you tech dweeb can i have your babys kidding love the video aisurix cards are popular in my country so videos like this are awesome for my country men
Last I checked these were not super overclocked so power draw should be 135w to about 160w give or take. Its not terrible if you have a couple case fans but you will need s quality power supply don’t use power adapters with something like this
thx for the vid dweeb what about the sapphire pulse rx580 2048sp it has higher clock of 1306 and mem clock of 2000mhz is it the same performance as the original rx580?

Just a FYI, these video cards (R, RX, DO NOT WORK well with NON UEFI (Legacy BIOS) Machines. You can get lucky and they will work, but often they will not. I tried three legacy machines and the cards either failed to display, or locked shortly after boot. They work fine on new boards with UEFI, just something to consider.
I had a relative that went through a RX580, RX6600, and some other Radeon R series cards - but he didn't realize that was not the real cause of the issues. The issue was that he was running a Legacy BIOS PC and these do not support older legacy machines. Sometimes you get lucky and they will work, but 8/10 they won't.
