i dont understand what cs2 made to these players, how the best player with insane game sense that was smurfing on fpl start beeing the last and randoms carrying him , the cs2 isnt difference that much from csgo, so whats happpend ?
in case of S1mple, I think it was the fact that he immediately took a break and lost the momentum. If he kept playing he would have found his way after a few weeks, like everyone else did. Granted, the AWP is not the same in CS2 according to veterans, so he probably wouldn't have been as fast/strong as he was in CS GO, but his game sense etc. would remain. Niko relies on angle holding , so the map pool threw him off and made inconsistent. He said it himself during the ESL 19 interview. Basically, PROS had a stable mixture of skill and familiarity with the game back in CS GO. After switching to CS2, they still have the skill (assuming they did not take any breaks), but are re-adjusting and getting familiar with CS2 now (graphics, util, weapon nerfs, MR12 etc).
@kamilianos yeah all that makes sense, only exception is m0nesy, but i guess is because he still young and learning and also spending all his time on the game, other old players like these goats not spending that much time anymore so they were just playing on the skills they earned from years and years of practice but because of the cs2, as u said angles changed and etc ... , they had to practice as they were doing years ago
