Thank you all so much for watching!!! This was a fun day out offshore fishing with my good friend Josh trying to primarily catch some Pelagic fish like Mahi-MAhi, Tuna, Wahoo, or Sailfish but ended up finding some Amberjack, and a lot of Snapper! It was still a fun day and we brought home some great fish to eat!!!

Thanks so much!!! Glad you enjoyed!! I love to upload on Sunday. Because it reminds me of when I was a kid waking up on Sunday and watching fishing on TV. I hoped to have a fishing show one day and since I don’t but I have a channel to post videos. It’s the next best thing in my mind to make people happy watching fishing. Like it use to do to me.

I wish we had AJ up here in NJ. Those things are the best. Should've seen the giant smallies I had this weekend on the Schuylkill. Also lost a muskie pushing close to 50in trying to get him in the net 😂. The newer was WAY too small and the trebles snagged and I lost him. It hit a 3in shad rap 😂😆😂. 10lb braid 45min and a half mile. It was great breaking but still epic. Clean release 😂😆😂

Hey there thanks so much!!! Most AJs you just give them a dunk and they have enough power to get back down a decompress on their own. Some though don’t if caught on really light tackle they won’t go down because of the air built up so then I would try and vent them.

I wasn’t spot locked at the start of the trip. Waaaaay to much current. So we drifted. But at the end of the day when we snapper fished for Mangrove snapper I was spot locked and it was no problem

Rich, was the snapper you descended a red? Was hard to tell from the video, but looked like it could have been a yelloweye/silk snapper, which look similar to reds, but are legal at any size and don’t have a closure like the reds.

Just a deep drop three way rig. I’m using a three way swivel. Tie one end to the braid, another to the lesser, and a heavier mono line about a foot long section for the sinker.

Yes it is. It works ok offshore. Still learning how to use it. It doesn’t work great in deep water like where we started in 250 to 350ft of water.

I actually did try but our drift was so fast and we were hitting a particular spot it didn’t really help. Nothing turned on after throwing baits out every 5 min for the first couple of hours.

It doesn’t work great in deep water. Unless I haven’t found the right settings yet. It’s best in 100ft or shallower. Or works well to see if fish swim under you higher in the water column

Hey Rich I know this is going to sound annoying but just going to say it. LESS BAIT FISHING!!! more artificials and fly fishing!!! like in this episodes more fast and slow jigging would have been fun to see... Also AJ are great to eat in different ways not just smoked! great as Sashimi/Hamachi Carpaccio, fish cakes, Ceviché and tons of other recipes... for example a quick search of recipies on Yummly gives 15 fancy recipies! especially if bled properly! OK I said it! but as usual great show in all the ways that make you the great Fishaholic!

It differs depending upon where you are. Fishing federal waters of SE FL 12 inches is correct . In Gulf it is 10” which is why he made that mistake.

I take it Rich is like me and likes to go ALL out. And some people just have a hard time keeping up. I got a buddy whos always down to go, but by the end of the trip he's very clearly worn out and over it, while I still have tons of energy and readiness to keep going. It is what it is, sometimes you gotta make it work to spend time with good friends.

It’s livescope. Kinda works offshore. But in deep water it really can’t see much down past 100ft. Or not that great. But I’m still learning while fishing with it.
