Watching the owner smile and laugh makes me smile, but other than that really proud of his build, he needs to put 2 salt- 8ks cause those salt -12ks is going to blow up those subs… they are only rated 3K rms
@@NiteLite728 - Uh...lol. By set them right you mean don't amplify the fucking signal to 12KW. Those amps are so underrated as is, that kind of power would run 6 of those NSV5s. As this owner found out. But they are badass. I wouldn't go more than 2k over the RMS rating even if Sundown makes tanks.
@@Hulkmastersteve I have a term lab with amp clamps installed in the truck and use it when I demo I keep Peak power less than 20 K and that’s also what I burp at. There’s a good bit more there power wise and I was looking forward to unleashing it in the lanes later in the day. It was good for 62- 3 it kind of surprised me when the sub blew because I’ve run a hundred demos. Same power no issues

I was on the boards last night some poor guy who spent many thousands on a setup that was all fused properly burst into flame on the street. They have no clue what happened and it was very nice/professional looking. Makes me worry about storing any major setup in my garage!
That power is much will probable from sundown allso destroy their teams neos or ferithe what ever version... i get it box rise etc but thats allot, he with respect but he can say subs were holding good for months, trust me send a sub clean double power of what is rated and will see same resoult if those subs worked for a quite sime time than it allso depends on songs etc but that amp was not defenetly givin from 0.25 to 1 ohm power if it is Turned to the max trust me, i have sundown zv5 on scv 6k for 2 yrs now, blew it 2 times 1 with stock spiders and person told me buy red stifer ones with extra tencile lead" per coil ti get for a little bit more i was like hell yeah more power for litle money and he made it with best glue over glued nicely etc, and i decided well lets upgrade battery, sub was wired at .5 ohm from day 1, scv 6k box rise box is actualy perfect only to allmost 1.3 rise few times i saw so 1.3 ohm max, sub recived on 14.1 to 14.5v power on 0.5 ohm amp and was sending on red stiffer spiders etc so more robust stiffer suspension blah blah 7 and 7+k of konstant power after breaking in after reconed not from the begining and sub get in Fire literaly jokin just smelled like a burned tire 🤣 there u go zv5 2k rated power recived just 2-3 times more of rated and kabum baby suby... not tryin to be disrespectfull but any manufacturer will tell you i talked to guy in shop can i put a 7500 scv back than on zv5 he says 4k is max he would go and on 1 ohm wired anything even 6k i bought than he said gl enjoy and i saw what he ment, any amp from sundown above 6k and 6k is ment for teams, u less u buy salt 12k and buy for example 4 zv6 now or zv5 doesnt metter than its fine but if goin single i gived my real life example thats it... waisted money on amps and batterys and wires for nothin... becouse manufactures from car audio especialy thend to underrate their prodacts this allso a that guy told me, he say sub will take more and for a 100 years will play but it will to hem being just 20 25% more he would do more if u want to daily banging ur sub all day so this nsv5 is 3k 20% would be 3.6k so 4k per sub max, if u wanna do short demoes like this than u can go safely 4.5k to 5k max and wait for subs to cool down, but if wanna slap for hours up to 4k for this sub, and couse if u buy salt 4 amp that amp will do 5k 6k easly so do not turn gain to max becouse of that and ur safe, u dont need any metter for that, I keep my red stiffened mega mega surrounded plus 1 tencil" more sub at 50-60% of gain on anp and still givin hem 3.5k plus wats on my strong 14v electrical for 7k sistem what I can supply...
If u would gonna use instead of nsv series, a sundown teams no need for neo motors, u could add another salt 8, but just dont clip the amp they will take demoing no issue, for the same price allmost i would get team's subs instead of those, even if those are great for lows and moving air, teams will do that if no better than will do the same Job but with 2k more mass in motor will hit harder, I think its fair trade if looking at price of both subs, I know teams are a bit old now but can buy and put newer tech surround and spiders erc who knows to work with that, and that booty from team sub, saw 2 15's one and 1 18, woooo.... ^_^ just love it, I have 2 12's from dc, old ones, this magnet the same size as my complete sub...
finally someone that did his own install,thats half the fun,half the pride,making it look good and sound good,he has some really good brands too,very nice choice of components he chose,sorry to see him blow a sub,least he got it on video,what did she say haha you messed it up jp or something ah haha
Either he didn’t let them cool enough or he had a malfunction. I run 2 nsv5 12s with a taramps bass 8k on each at .5 with no issues other than it destroying my car. Subs do get warm and will start to smell if you play them too long
@@Lonebby1 don’t be hatin just because you don’t have the cash flow. I love what I’ve got. The force the nightshades create even at low volumes is ridiculous. I’m not downing db because they are great but not what I wanted in this build. Almost twice the xmax as the db apocalypse

My buddy was getting a demo with 4 15" fi teams each on a banda 8k and the same thing happened like this sub but the one in this video was way crazier lol
