Wasn't there an fps which would charge you real money to get more ammo during the game? I can't remember where I heard that, but I'm pretty sure it's a real thing
This dude plays bastion 76 with how little he uses his best ability. Then as soon as they get a bastion they get rolled because their bastion actually uses assault mode. The Reinhardt they were crying so much about was actually hard carrying the vast majority of the game emongg is just too nice to tell you that youre the problem
Man I feel that Rein's pain. Side note: definitely the most cowardly bastion player I've ever seen. Takes high ground, contests soldier, runs away as soon as soldier drops, hops into turret form to attack torb, runs away from a sigma. Be more confident, you literally melt 90% of the roster, even if you die, you *WILL* take at least 2 of them with you. Especially in Silver.
There is no point questioning if Rein into Bastion was the problem. The fact is he is a Rein 1 trick, you have to learn to accept that he isn't going to swap instead of blaming him, you just have to do your best to play around him.
especially at the lower ranks, people are learning and getting better at their chosen Heroes. let people play who they want to, and if you all work together you'll get the win more times
Im hallway through the video, so far id even go as far as saying reinhardt is kinda carrying. Hes getting allot of value with his plays. Hes also playing his life fairly well tbh. I think this rein can climb for sure. He seems to understand the value of not shieldbotting, being proactive yet not overly (for the most part). Hes playing consistently at corner it feels like aswell. At the end of point 3 he instantly pinned the copied reinhardt and shattered 4 people. This rein should climb into gold i feel.
if he was smart at the end he would have baited the mercy into trying to res the dva, shatter 4 and easily kill most of them, die, and then his team would respawn and kill whoever was left. but maybe that's asking too much of silver players. kind of sad most of them don't understand how easy it is to make plays as tank....
Yeah ngl it always surprises me how people that are that unaware complains about others but the more I look at it I realize it might not be stemming from a place of ego but rather pure ignorance and obliviousness to their own gameplay. They have decent aim though it's just game sense that's a bit lacking.
I know I guy like this. He always complains about how ranked doesn't matter and everyone is bad. Whenever I watch him he's the worst player on his team
Reminds me of the game I had where our Sigma decided to not only shit talk me the entire game in match chat (I have ZERO ideas why me specifically), but then private messaged me after to continue saying how trash I was. Went back and looked at their gameplay... Rocking the floor, shield in the sky, getting lost in the map, going in 1v5, gravs with no one around, trying to absorb Zarya beam, etc.

Reminds me of 2 guys I encountered these past 2 weeks who used every full-auto character by tapping his left mouse button. I kid you not, they went on like that for the entirety of those 2 quickplay matches
Well. That’s my reverse-soulmate. I often forget to use scoped/unscoped combo on Ashe when fighting close distance and this guy just forgets he has a scope at all.
The Tracer swap felt directionless, like it was to get to the fight quicker, but then just went around the long way to flank and then... pester the enemy at midrange. Bastion's assault form can be a bit of a risk, but if you don't use it, then you may as well be Soldier 76 and swap that reconfigure for a biotic field. I'd say Rein fell apart at the end, with no way to pressure the Bastion off the point, on either offence or defense.

tbf when i first transitioned from console to PC i used bastion to train my aim a little bit and it helped a lot to force myself to rely on using his normal left click for majority of kills rather than his turret form. its a good idea, outside of ranked lol
He plays Bastion like its Soldier 76, or literally any other character than Bastion. No transforms for most of a fight till he suddenly remember he is playing Bastion, then he uses it poorly.

@azseal2669 all the more impressive how good the rein player imo. He seems to truly understand all the possibilities of rein from shielding off healing to making them use abilities and getting out. I was really impressed by his ability to stay alive especially on a map with so few places to hold corners and recharge shield and so few close sightlines.
One of my least favourite tanks to play with as a support player because he requires so much healing and I don't play the healbot supports. I hate people who pick Rein on Gibraltar or Dorado especially.
ill nvr understand people who dont hit their buttons, the community always jokes about everyone hitting q or just spamming buttons on cooldown but its way better to spam your abilities on cooldown then to use turret form as often as this bastion did, it kinda feels dumb to say but the more you use our abilities the more your able to use your abilities, the more value you can get from your abilities
I mean; it depends on your role and what situation you're in. As Bastion tho? No downsides to turret form unless you're dumb enough to empty your entire clip into something that negates any and all damage you're doing. Or better yet: deflects it back at your teammates.
@@azseal2669 ill always rather use my abilities 20 times a game then 5 times a game even if some of those 20 are "bad" situations, its like having 20 goes at a slot machine or roulette table rather than 5 you have a better chance at hitting a jackpot with more chances so even if i use an ability that gets eaten or deflected that ok because im going to have 19+ more goes at it
If the rein never said/typed anything to his team, this bastion player never would have latched on and blame him for no reason. If you want to win games, ignore teammates except to only capitalize on their good plays
Im failry new to Overwatch. Ive played pretty much only Zenyatta, but i tried bastion the other day for a couple hours. Was i right in assuming that it's my job to melt mercy out of the sky when i get the chance?
of course. elims on supports are extremely high value. mercy in particular, since she can res. bastion is very good at tracking and melting her in turret form.
Melt anything you see except dva's defence matrix, orisa javelin spin and sigma's grasp. Literally anything. You do so much dps that nearly anything that's not getting healed dies in that barrage.
"Bastion is a hard counter to Zarya" maybe at high ranks?? I'm a silver Zarya main and an enemy Bastion does mean I need to be careful but it also means that I'm always at full charge
As far as the Ashe scope comment, this is so valid. I love some of Ashe’s skins a lot but I seldom switch off of the summer skin because of the blue scope. With my red dot and yellow enemies it works really well.
I believe this guy was told to cancel turret from once or twice for making bad plays or something similar and they are now self-conscious about their turret use.
I remember in late overwatch 1 there was a philosophy that bastion shouldn't go into turret forms in most cases and should only use it to suprise a tank, the idea was that bastion was just bigger bulkier soldier and thus cover strafing could keep his weakness (big hit box) covwred while still hitting with a midrange soldier like AR fire.
16:31 as someone who plays a lot of both dva and mercy, it was so painful that they not only didn't follow up on the dva kill, but LEFT MERCY ALONE WITH HER. SO MERCY HAD TO DEAL WITH IT. thank goodness mercy managed that kill, i guess, but oh my god 😭
was that rein feeding a little (considering his supp's) at the end? i would say so, if you compare it to his performance in the beginning. but i bet my left nut he got tilted and lost focus after his big slam and beeng blamed like, this where his fault because he wasn't swapping heros.
You don't need to counter swap if you're getting value. If DPS isn't following up on your plays that's their issue. It is not a tank diff then, it's a DPS chasm.
This replay makes me feel like an Ashe god. Weird how no one is commenting on how the Bastion play is way better than the Ashe play, which was basically useless.
BTW I know why the replay viewer shows both red and blue, on control I think left side is blue and right is red and in escort/hybrid the 1st attacking team is red and the 1st defending team is blue
??? wtf are you talking about? It's very simple to understand. there is a red team. There is a blue team. It's that simple. Just because in game, you're always blue, that doesn't mean you're on the blue team. It's just to make it easier to tell teams apart in the replay, or streams. It's not as deep as whatever tf you think.
I am kind of surprised they are in silver 5. I guess it's because they can hit a decent shot here n there. They hit a very nice shot on the Echo once. I think they are punching above their weight class and should be proud of where they are. But not only did they not use turret form much but the amount of shooting with Ashe without sights was unreal. I have the opposite issue. I use my sights way too much. I fire from the hip very little if any at all. There was two distinct moments in the game where it was this players fault they lost fights or they just were not able to perform. Could be more, couldn't be less. When the Rein hit the big shatter that Emongg talked about. And when the enemy team was on attack in overtime, round 3 at the second corner. There was no follow up or meaningful damage being done at either time. Emongg is totally right on too that the enemy team used their ults way better. Blue team outplayed red team most of the time. The amount of hubris this player has to submit this replay and blame their tank after failing in those two circumstances alone is laughable. Especially when the tank is the best player on their team. And I think the tank only struggled at the end because they felt pressure to try and make plays. No one else on the team was. The supports were average at best but hard threw in round 4. But the dps, this player included obviously, were the weakest parts of the team.
Almost 10 mins in and so far every single turret form has been cancelled after about 3 seconds. I'm all about cancelling early when it makes sense, but good lord (Also, didn't they remove the self-heal?)

they really needed a hanzo to try to pick a healer for their tank to start winning fights or mei and try to lock off the tank and give ur tank more room to be aggressive
I feel like this wasnt mentioned enough since the focus was so heavily on the tank; I didnt see this guy make any plays, barely any dmg or get any elims. Honestly, I think he was just bad.
I can't stand people who do stuff like refusing to switch because they think they can only have fun on a specific hero. What about everyone else in the lobby who has to play around you? Do you think they're having fun? Yes, the DPS player was wrong in this instance as usual, but in general these players are ass to play with
Who would you rather have: a Rein that can play competently and aid the team, or tell them to switch and you end up getting a useless Sigma? In low ranks match-ups matter way less than higher ones. If someone really learns the ins and outs of their favorite character they'll win more games than people trying to play whoever some arrogant teammate tells them to. When I play tank in comp I'm basically a one trick Junker Queen. Have I had bad match-ups? Yeah. But because of that I've learned how to handle those fights and be confident in my approach. When you stop worrying about what others think and have fun that's when you have the best experiences. If you swap because of others and lose you just feel like shit.
I believe that the problem is stagnated gameplay from players mostly I see many try to play the same way with every team I think also there value with the ability to match with your team plays style better is very helping
I'm so upset that I'm hard stuck bronze 5 (I'm genuinely not deserving of being stuck in there please don't respond that people in bronze 5 deserve it) and this guy is a whole tier higher than I am.
There's always things you can improve on, no matter what rank you are. All I can say is, don't give up. Get a friend who you're confident enough to play with and duo queue. Trust me, solo queueing comp is a nightmare.
Bronze 5 players are genuinely so awful at the game that if you are in Bronze 5 you deserve to be there, no excuses. I could pistol only Mercy and probably climb out of Bronze 5.
@@neverhugalucario4345 now I've got more time to respond. I was a silver player before the soft rank reset 3 months ago, I have been hard locked into bronze 5. People will tell you it's harder to get out of bronze 5 than it is to rank up 2 full tiers because the MMR is fucked down there. Tell me how I peaked silver 2 sat there for 2 full seasons and got soft reset into bronze 5 in both DPS and support but it's my bad that I'm in bronze 5 because I must suck? Also rank EU and rank NA aren't even the same skill level apparently.
This is just a long winded set of excuses, simply put if you are higher skilled than the people in your lobby you will climb. The common factor between your matches is you. If you were silver before and are bronze 5 now your mindset of blaming your team is clearly holding you back. Or you never belonged in Silver and got lucky placing there.@@onyx-alice8191

Also rein on high ground can be quite vital depending on situations. He has fire strike and he could instantly get down when he needed to drop, sure it wasn't the cleanest play but it wasn't as bad as you think
Bastion, and now Sombra, are exactly why DPS should never be buffed. Keep them high skill low reward. Cus when DPS are OP they are just annoying. Every freaking game it's against a bastion and sombra
Sombra is strong if you know how to use her to her full potential shes still very much a skill=reward character. Bastion buffs coulda been fine on survivability but nah hes just a ruin tank character now and always
DPS needs something because Supports are overtuned. It's the same argument for buffing Tanks. Because we know they will never meaningfully nerf supports. :')
I agree with bastion but sombra is a bit iffy sure she is a little strong rn but MUCH better than the previous iteration of her, they might nerf her a tinsy bit
everyone is playing Sombra rn because she's new (in a sense). itll peter off eventually as we all learn how to play her and how to play with and against her. is it annoying? i play support so playing against sombra is annoying, but who's fault is that? it's mine for being surprised when sombra does sombra things tbh

Lit was poppin off today playing tank (winton and Rein) and had 2 shit games where team was screamed tank diff. Well no fkin shit tank is fucking miserable when its a pocketed bastion. Only shot rn against him is truly Orisa and Id rather play mid as someone fun then bend down to overwatches shit meta choices
Honestly i skipped the massive essay part but i cant imagine someone looking back at this gameplay and thinking they were playing perfectly with these plays. Rein was the carry and id be furious at my dps if i was rein. Self awareness completely lacking
This Rein was massive and got all the heat 😢 wish he'd have an Ana to support him more. Lucio Mercy against Bastion won't work, so that wasted overtime push is on your supports. Also, if you see your Rein being aggressive (aggressive, not feeding!), support him. Follow up on his plays. I wish there were more Reins like him in my games
Why do overwatch content creators all have the same high pitched nasally pre pubescent annoying voices. I can barely watch any of them without wanting to rip my hair out.
Can you imagine if they gave ashe a passive that made her reload slightly faster per headshot she got with a clip, with 12 headshots giving you an almost instant reload? It would make it a risk/reward system of "do you risk a longer reload while trying to shorten it, or do you just reload now before you are in too deep?".
I kinda doubt the healers could of kept her up tbh. That and no one looks like they'd utilize and help the zarya push, if he was scared to push as bastion then I can only imagine anyone else
