This was a very peaceful and pure movie. Just the good amount of twist, action, a lot of light humor and a group of kind-hearted people gathering together. I'll surely come back to this movie when I need a little escape from reality. :)
1. Neighbour tells her to clean up garden > She cleans up garden and grows beautiful flowers 2. Meets guy in library > Shares something in common > Falls in love 3. End.
Worthy of the watch. So odd, and whimsical, so many wonderfully funny one liners, the perfect way to escape the everyday and have a laugh and a cry and go away feeling totally entertained. Don't waste time reading the critic reviews they all get way to bogged down in .... well nothing....! At the end of the day it's just a movie and if it can make you feel some emotions then it's hit the spot.
I took a day off the other day to enjoy staying at home with a movie in the morning, and I chose this movie, and this was the best choice ever.. it took me out of my world which I've been looking for and left me happy for couple of days. Very recommended.
It’s not often that a movie keeps your attention from start to finish - where it’s like you want to turn the pages faster that you can read a good book. Being Irish, I particularly love the introduction of my native language, Irish, in this colourful, caring movie. The movie highlights eccentricities and presents them as unique gifts, as our short lives touch against each other like swaying flowers in a crowded garden. The film is quirky, whimsical, emotional - all at the same time. A must watch. Thank you.
I loved this movie. It was sweet and wise and just the slightest bit odd. This is not a story to be watched in a hurry, it deserves consideration and an open heart. Well done.
Perfectly put. I see a lot of snarky, negative comments about this movie. I think people have grown far more clever than they have kind & wise. Clever is empty and vain. Your comment reminds me that there are still some human beings out there who haven't lost the light. Thank you!
Came because of the thumbnail and the weird movie title. Screamed when I saw Andrew Scott. Should've put his name up there, too. More buzz about him recently. #HotPriest #Fleabag
I love the pace of the story, combined with the whimsical style. I loved it even more when it reminded me of this beautiful children’s show called Sarah and Duck.
So many people around the world would love to have the liberty to write any sort of literature, especially in a house with a garden like that. She seems pretty lucky.
I was sleeping while TV 📺 is playing !! And this lovely film 🎥 was playing .. soundtrack attracted me firstly .. and then the mood of the film was so matching with my late evening time 😊 and I watched to the end ❤️ very sensitive , warm , romantic, pure film ❤️🚶🏻
I loved this movie. It's charming and a perfect antidote to today's rather grim reality. Settle down with a roaring fire, glass of wine/cup of cocoa and feel overwhelming waves of nostalgia. Delicious!
I was having some bad vibes and I couldn’t sleep last night so I got on Amazon video and found this lovely movie! It made me feel better 💗 The librarian that’s scared of everything is totally an INFJ 😂 and her love interest is totally a ENFP awwwww
Actually really enjoyed this, it's got that something sweet about it, & as cliche as the plot seems, it certainly doesn't feel like that, very heartfelt. ( *_spoiler below_* ) my one wish would be that instead of taking the typical route, our MC ended up (romantically) with Andrew Scott's character instead, they actually had a genuine warmth & wonderful chemistry between the two, & he play's a much more pivotal character than portrayed in the trailer. Jeremy Ivine's character just felt too cliche, & trope's aside, I don't see them being a functional pair, their relationship felt very much glossy & rosy-eyed like that of a first love (or more accurately like that of an _infatuation_ with a celebrity/glamourised crush) that doesn't really last. I'd actually watch a Part 2!
I actually did end up watching it (prime woo) its actually a really pretty movie. The filmwork feels dynamic in a way and it was really just a sweet not super plot heavy movie.
