People think it can’t possibly happen to them, until it happens to them. I never pictured myself a fully disabled solo parent raising an Autistic daughter who suffers severe C-PTSD from her dads suicide, but life comes at you fast. Thank you for helping to restore this older gentleman dignity and safety in his home. You’re truly an angel
That’s why I could never get behind the mentality of neat-freaks who demand things be kept a certain way in other peoples’ households. You never know what someone is going through. I’m sorry for your pain, I hope for the happiness of you and your daughter!
Yeah, the problem lies in being able to reach the critters with the steam. Whether it be because they are deep in the furniture, or a short extension cord.. It's also hard finding a steamer that gets the steam to a hot enough temperature, and still be priced affordably.
@@tudupidupu yes, but if you're taking dirt and muck from the tiles on your shower etc it can splatter as my steamer is a high pressure one. Hence the need for paper to catch anything it loosens.
Nothing is worse than a bed bug infestation. NOTHING. Not roaches. Not rodents. Not ticks. Not spiders. Not lice. Literally nothing is worse than bed bugs. She shouldn’t make ignorant comments if she doesn’t know what she’s dealing with!!!!!!! Bed bugs cost thousands of dollars and months and months or even years to get rid of. And you may never fully get rid of them if you don’t exterminate every single one. It’s mentally and emotionally draining and can cause severe mental health problems for people dealing w an infestation. It isn’t light hearted or easy to manage at all. She has no clue what she’s doing or talking about when it comes to bed bugs so she shouldn’t act like she fixed the problem or that it’s an easy fix at all! It’s not. She is NOT telling the truth. She is being MISLEADING and this is dishonest af.
A dear friend of mine ended up like this after losing his mother. Everyone around him knew how he lived and accepted it. However he was taken ill and was due a visit from a social worker to determine if he was going to be allowed home. No-one would help him with his house. When I visited him in hospital he asked if I would help. I said gladly. A lady from a local hotel volunteered with me, and we cleared and cleaned his place in 2 days, got it ready for the social workers and gave our contact details as helpers for him on his return home. It worked. Otherwise he would never have been allowed to return home and it would have killed him. So people who judge others who get into a position like this just need to walk away without comment.
@@dariennedykes678 he had no family. His mother who lived with him, passed many years earlier and his work life kept him so busy he just didn't know what to do to maintain the home, so it fell away from him. He was a close friend of mine, and I know he would have done the same for me had the situation been reversed. He was in his home until the last month before he passed. That made me happy.

My brother’s wife passed away when his daughter was not even a month old. My brother died last year shortly before his daughter turned 5. He never got over it, and eventually it killed him. So I can see how people end up here. Thank you for what you do. Life is hard, and sometimes help is needed. I’m glad you know what a difference it can make for someone who’s struggling.
Wtf so he left his only child to grow up an orphan?? Women through history have dealt with losing partners and still raised their babies in societies that would see them as useless. Fuck was his excuse??? You find a way to live for your child!
@@helmaschine1885 yeah it’s not like he did it on purpose. He didn’t take himself out. Thanks though, suuuuper helpful. Edit to add that, if that had been the case, I still wouldn’t consider it someone’s “fault”. Nobody who is mentally well goes to that extreme. If you’ve never been to a place that dark though, I’m glad for your sake.
as someone who struggles with being messy and poor mental health, although not to this extent, it means so much you guys show much empathy to people who struggle with cleaning 🥺 nobody wants to be that way, it means so much you go the extra mile to help
Same here, it’s amazing to see that there are people out there who will simply offer their help without asking questions or judging and understand that sometimes, life makes it impossible for people to take care of themselves and their homes as much as they’d like to. These videos help me so much with feeling better about myself and my chaos at home when I feel like a complete failure for letting it get to that point, and seeing the results also motivates me to try and do better. Thank you to everyone who does these free clean ups, you’re absolute blessings

Y'all are such a blessing. As someone who suffers from severe depression, I understand how this happens. When your mental health is bad, it can be hard enough to take a shower, much less keep an entire home clean. Thank you for all that you do!!! 🩶🩶🩶
You know that you are a special human being, right? You have touched my heart. Everything good will ever happen to you because of these videos and in your life in general, is well deserved! Thank you on behalf of our entire species!
@@ag8666 ohhh that’s so cool! I haven’t seen auri in a while - I’m sure she did a video about it as well, I would have known. Very cool to send them to Paris. I hope they got to help as many people as they could.
What a beautiful person you are! People don’t think this can happen to them but, believe me, it can. All it takes is extreme physical, mental or emotional ill health, accidents, chronic pain, etc & suddenly, you can no longer keep on top of things. Thank you for your kindness & empathy & most importantly, giving this man & his daughter their dignity & life back. The world needs more people like you! 💕
Thank you for helping this family!🙏 Are you sure you got rid of the bed bugs completely? If you're not sure, or know you didn't get rid of them all get a big container of durable trash bags, and cut them to fit around matresses, and any furniture that's infested. Hold them together with duck tape. Keep these bags on for st least 2 years. It's not fashionable, but it will trap whatever is in there from getting out and getting to others. Also, if there are any outside of those pieces, they can't crawl up plastic. You can lay a thick blanket or comforter over the furniture so you don't have to lay directly on plastic. Just make sure you don't let the blanket hang from your furniture onto the floor and you're good. If an accident happens and bedbugs get on the blanket, just put it in the dryer on high heat for at least 30 minutes and then they will be pushing up posies. You can wash and dry again how you like after if wanted. If you want to get a big bag of "Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth, " or "Food Grade DE," you can sprinkle a little around all the corners of the house and that will kill most things, including bedbugs and fleas ect if they make contact with it. Bedbugs that make contact with it die within 24 to 48 hours after touching it. I am sorry for the long rant, but bed bugs are spreading and becoming a huge problem worldwide because people don't have the knowledge or money to fight this problem. And then the problem spreads to others. I hope this information helps someone, God bless this young lady on this channel, and God bless you all. 🙏
@nicolesymonds2349 If you throw it out, you STILL want to completely wrap it up in trash bags sealed completely shut with duck tape. Those bugs will leave the mattress and just find their way into your home again, or a neighbors! 🙏 Doing this will help people save up for another mattress in the meantime, or at least make the infested mattress safe to use. You can deep clean the mattress after 2 years are up if you have eliminated the infestation. Unfortunately, exterminators are very expensive for bed bugs. Not everyone can afford to buy another matress, or pay for an exterminator. This info is for those people, or those who don't want to pay for an exterminator. If you live in an apartment that is completely infested with a landlord who isn't solving the problem, it would be best to keep furniture completely sealed in trash bags until you are able to move to a new place. Whether it is still infested or not, because if in an apartment, it is much easier for the bedbugs to get into your home, making you have to do this process all over again. Take the bags off the furniture if they are no longer infested in the uhaul upon bringing it into the new apartment, and throw the trash bags into another trash bag immediately. I would put it in a plastic shopping bag and tie it up tight immediately and set into a larger trash bag for all the other sealed up furniture.
@@katerinaj.wilson8445 That is very nice of her. God bless her. Most people wouldn't risk bringing bed bugs home with them even if you paid them. And she does it for free. I pray that someday I can help people like she does.
You did a great job on your post too. Plus they hate the smell of items such as clove, acetone or fingernail polish and alcohol. You can also use heaters to bring the heat up in the room to approximately 110°, that will also kill them or you can take the furniture outside for a day or two when it's below zero and that will also kill them
What a blessing. We NEED SO MUCH MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU ON THIS EARTH to show LOVE.KINDNESS AND COMPASSION!! This world would be a much better place if everyone was like this!! ❤
Plain rubbing alcohol kills bed bugs immediately just putting it in a spray bottle and spraying the bed, baseboards and the frame makes a huge difference. It works instantly
Its a long story. Too long. But let's just say, someone once kept a couple cats in one room of my house, and when they left, the room sat empty for awhile, and since they had taken all their stuff and emptied the room, we didn't even use or go into that room for a bit. The room actually looked clean, but when I did go into the room to redo and use the room, I found fleas everywhere. I mean, they were everywhere. You couldn't even walk around without getting fleas on you! I was furious, and furiously cleaning. First I used a couple flea foggers in the room and though it got many of them, it certainly didn't kill all. We ripped the flooring out. I sprayed flea spray on all baseboards and all that, and even tried a couple different kinds. Still could see fleas. I got pissed one day and went into my laundry room, grabbed the bottle of bleach, grabbed a mask, opened the windows and started spraying that room with full strength bleach. Afterwards, no fleas. Finally. Though we did get the house, the rest of it, sprayed as well. I havent seen fleas ever again in here, lol. It took replacing flooring in that room and leaving windows open to air out for awhile, but those suckers were gone, lol. Awful experience, so I cannot imagine bed bugs.
You are angels for taking care of these vulnerable people at there hour of need .love your non judgemental care of these people .They will be so happy when they see your work and will help them physically and mentally BIG thankyou 💚

@@Elizabeth-ladybug22 - I don't take medication myself, but supplements are natural products that have been used for thousands of years and they have really helped me a lot.
I didn't know my dad was a hoarder until he passed; he hadn't let anyone into his apartment in years. Now I'm a hoarder, and I really want to recover. Moving (my home on wheels) soon and hoping I'll have the space to dig out 🙏
I (and my family) am working on this too. Most of the house is under control, though there’s a few places that are tricky. My dad and I have trouble with our bedrooms and my dad has trouble with his office (which occasionally spreads out to the kitchen until we trim it back a bit.) I think I’m gonna need outside help for my own bedroom if I can’t start on my own in the next few weeks… but I feel more confident that I’m in a better headspace to actually throw things away this time. I don’t deserve to live in clutter and trash, no matter how my depression tries to convince me otherwise! 😤
I had bedbugs in 2011 from my next door neighbor. Theyre almost impossible to get rid of. I had to throw out my bed, wash my clothes, and MOVE ☹️ I would have rather had mice and headlice at the same time.. seriously
The gift you give to those you help is beautiful & amazing. I cry so many times watching your videos bc not only do you take on the task but never make it belittling, horrible, lazy thing and you touch their lives with such positivity & a clean home! @@vivianholliday4338 I find it sad that you can’t see someone giving their time & energy to help people who for whatever medical or mental reason can’t maintain their space. It’s not just about the cleaning. People helping people is a gift and showing kindness & humanity. I’m guessing you have either never had issues that keep you from being perfect or you’re all alone in this world causing jealousy and the need to just put others down. If you don’t like the content skip it, if you don’t see it as a gift and kindness then don’t you clean someone’s house or ask for yours to be cleaned. If every human thought about being kind to fellow humans this world would be such a better place.

Where do you find the energy to do this.. I have a small one bedroom apartment and a son who deals with ADHD and depression and bipolar and anxiety and so do I and it's hard even with my husband help you're amazing
Please excuse my ignorance, but what can be worse than bedbugs? I feel like roaches would be the second worst to bedbugs when talking about pest/critters.
You are kind and caring people my heart goes out to this man and his daughter and the fact that you go in and clean this house is extraordinary ❤️ you are very special
I could not live like that, but seeing them having a rough time or cant able to clean is hard. But it great to see some people helping others clean there homes
i hope you were able to save those two stuffed animals from the beginning. they look like the kind of thing to hold lots of sentimental value. my family had a case of bedbugs years back, and i was able to save my childhood stuffed animals by keeping them in a bag for a year. not ideal, but at least i got to keep them. another suitable alternative, if safe, is to spray them with rubbing alcohol OR put them in the dryer on high heat for a cycle or two.
She's wearing a full protective suit and gloves. I'm sure they just vacuumed what they saw.. and hopefully they put a bug proof cover on that mattress.
DE (diatomaceous earth) is the way to go. Very VERY thin layers EVERYWHERE including floor, bed posts, just everywhere, the thinner the layer, the more effective it is. Don’t test me in the replies. It doesn’t matter how clean your place is, they are not from dirty houses, all it takes if for you to bring one home!
please just tell me you got an exterminator. bed bugs are no joke and simply steaming will not be enough... they get on your clothes, you can put them everywhere. they get in walls and follow blood scent. it's a very serious issue and will come back.
The difference it makes to just hear someone acknowledge that it's okay to not be okay... Im sure it makes a lot of difference in so many peoples lives. I wallowed in depression for a bit and my home got out of control and having friends support me and tell me that it was okay for me to not be okay; that it didn't make me lesser for not having a handle on things... really made a difference. It gave me the space and clarity to discover real actionable steps I could take to get out of and learn to handle my depression. These videos remind me of that.
I’m pretty sure I got PTSD from having bedbugs for a year. It was so traumatizing. Luckily, my landlord at the time covered the cost to have it taken care of, because he knows our financial situation, and we always made sure our rent was paid. We were able to pay him back. But now, whenever I’m in bed, and I feel a hair touch my arm, I panic thinking it’s a bedbug. Those things are horrible. I don’t wish them upon anyone. The psychological torture alone is horrible. Bedbugs don’t discriminate. They don’t care whether you’re a neat freak or a hoarder. They just want you for your blood. I hope this man can at least sleep in peace now.
I think I have PTSD too from it and we only found 8! But had to treat everything as an infestation. Got the bed bug mattress covers. Got DE. Spray. Put everything into large Costco containers. Vacuumed constantly. Have not REALLY seen one in 20 months but in my mind constantly. A black speck can make me cringe. I feel them crawling on me when not really there. Was just horrible. My sister was dying and all I could talk about was bed bugs.
Wow you had to pay your landlord back? Not sure where you’re from, but here in nyc the landlord is required to cover all pest control issues and basically all maintenance issues. They own the property. And if they don’t, they can be reported to the Department of Housing Preservation and Development. I would be livid if my building expected me to pay for the maintenance of their property.
So impressed and glad you and your team stepped up to help this man and his family out. So important to have a clean and safe environment, sadly as we age we often don’t “see” the dirt or worse and mental health in the elderly is always a concern because even if they aren’t “clinically depressed” or other mental health diagnosis many elderly just have a hard time getting through the day let alone planning for cleaning and executing it. So, all that to say thank you for the service you provide whether paid or volunteered I so appreciate the work you do to bring peace of mind to the client and their family. Great video, great ethics, thank you again!
In a previous video she mentioned doing things like throwing out the clothes she wore every day and putting her luggage in a bag, sealing it and she won’t be opening it for months. I think there was another step as well.
Congratulations. Great team work. You are courageous. I would have run away too. Blessings. It takes a real caring heart to do such tacks. Amen 🙏🏽 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Im pretty strong when i see mess. I worked in hotels for over 30 years. I have seen it all. Plus i have helped people with the same problems as those you help. But the bed bugs beat me. Just thinking about them makes me itch. Thank you for what you do.
This was really inspirational. My dad passed away, and I fell into deep depression. My house became so cluttered and dirty. My mom had hoarderlike tendencies and my grandfather did.
