We have seen the mobile home business come such a long way. In the old days most people referred to mobile homes as a trailer house. However some of the manufactured homes we carry are far from “trailer houses.”

I bought my 16x76 mobile home in 2019. Sat down with the Clayton Homes sales associate and designed my home. I paid $67k, taxes and set up. I have a super cute kitchen with a huge island and European range hood. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a flex room at just over 1100 sq ft. $125 k really seems like a lot.

That’s how it was before the pandemic. I have been watching prices since i bought mine in 2013. The pandemic changed the whole housing market

Pretty much doubled and in my care mine tripled what I paid in 2008! Wow glad I bought it now I own it 6 months left of payments!

One of the nicer single wides that I've seen. I love the wood accents on the walls. They made good use of the space in the kitchen. The guest bedrooms aren't too narrow & the smaller one is actually a decent size. No wire racks in the closets. 👍 Decent master closet for a single wide, and pretty shower doors.

I like the kitchen lay out. When I got married the first time, we moved into a brand new 1000 sq ft ranch house. My double wide when I got one was 1200 sq ft. Both had plenty of space for what I needed. I love looking at floor plans and as I look at them and thinking practicaly the homes that run 1500-1600 sq ft as long as they are designed right, has everything I need in a home without having to pay the price of a mini McMansion. When I see couples in their homeson You Tube I can't fathom how these young folks can afford a home like that. When the housing bubble popped in what 2008? I think, I was hearing people boohoo because someone gave them a loan to buy a $500,000 home and they were barely making $100,000/year. They were blaming everyone but themselves for buying a house that was so much more than they could afford and they should have known that. The size and price of what you buy for a home needs to be if nothing else, affordable.

I really love the layout of this place and the exterior of it. My favorite parts are the wall in the living area and the floating shelves. This would be a nice starter home for someone.

The batten strips are not so bad in this home...nice layout...plenty of room..I really love the fact it has a dedicated laundry room...ample storage and also a pantry...nice colors and decent size rooms...the outside of home is also pleasant...still a bit steep for a single , maybe 90 - 100...but not 125...other than that a great house...

If it's really about $125,000 that's way too much for this place it needs to be a lot less expensive you had it one on here in the $50,000 range I've never been able to get any information on it from anyone no return phone calls or anything

You need to go see a local dealer to see if they even can get it for you. Also, visiting local dealers will give you a better idea of what single wides are selling for these days.

We have a stick built house with a galley kitchen. Unless you live alone dont get a gally kitchen. If your using the sink and someone behind you is using the stove you keep bumping into one another. Its difficult to pass someone in rhe kitchen. There is virtually no counter space. I like to cook. There is counter to each side of the sink. Thats where you do all your preping. The counter next to the stove is good for countertop appliances. You cant really do much there. It really is a bad layout for a kitchen.

I like it, except for the strips on the wall in the hallway, second bathroom (or guest bath) and the bedrooms. I didn't see it in the main room or the master bedroomm. Is that normal? Great size for a small family, or a single person who needs a home office + a guest room.

That is board and batten. The rest of the house has drywall. Drywall is more expensive. You can probably opt to have drywall throughout but it will cost. That is how the manufacturer keeps the price low.

@@conniebrown6909 Yeah I'm not a fan of that, at all (the boarrd and batten), I grew up in a trailer and the walls were notoriously not "art hangs here" friendly. Want to avoid that if at all possible. Thank you for the info, Connie :)

@@aislynn001 No problem. I lived in one too for a while. It was a trailer with the wood paneling, but it was a warm, dry home and the best my parents could do. I can't complain too much. Would I want better for myself now? Absolutely, if I can afford it. 😀

I think this house is a 2 out of 5. Looks cheaply made. Not fond of the pallet look. Too expensive as well.

Things that I like about this house. No carpeting, no built in microwave, ceiling vents. I would also like a large double sink and no dishwasher. I never use the dishwasher. I would rather have the cabinet space.
