Victor Gyokeres has impressed me over the last 3 seasons. He was extremely dangerous in the championship and always looked a threat. From the sporting games I have watched, he looked lethal every time he received the ball. Victor Gyokeres is some player.
I always said that about Potter how useless he was with strikers. It's like he was desperate to get rid of as many as he could as he seemed to prefer putting on an extra man in midfield than having a striker. I remember one season he went without a striker most games as the only one he'd kept around was Maupay who was often "left out of the squad completely for tactical reasons" . Too many people (hipsters) bought into the playing style they forgot that Brighton always looked completely toothless up front under Potter. His solution was to bring welbeck in and have him take (and miss) penalties.
I really want Arsenal to bring him in, I'd be livid if we sold him just for him to develop into the monster he is atm😅 (at least you guys normally get your transfers pretty spot on)

The owner Tony Bloom made his fortune by basically working out probability of success in gambling, so he applied the same methodology to scouting players. It really shouldn't have worked as they're essentially signing players based off stats and numbers, but jesus christ it worked incredibly well. @@DMac__the issue isn't always identifying talent, but being willing to give that talent a chance to grow in your team. The Prem is so cut throat that many teams are more prepared to spend 100mil than to nurture the player for fear of missing out on their footballing objectives. Clubs like Brighton are benefitting tremendously. Even Chelsea now is seeing that there is viability in such a project.

Last season Sporting were losing 0-2 against Porto up until they subbed Gyokeres with 4 minutes to go and he manages to score two goals to tie the game that Sporting was getting dominated in. Gyokeres is unbelievable.

He's not all that. Nothing near 100M ffs. 50M would be fair in current market but he will never be a player for a top team. On the other hand, Evanílson has everything to be a top player for a top team.

The prem is overrated. Few english teams dominate European football like the Spanish teams do. Real won the champions league 15 times, Barça 5 times, and Sevilla won the Europa league 7 times. Only the English think the prem is the best league in the world. @@admontblanc

For everyone sake, don’t go to Chelsea. As much as I respect all clubs, Chelsea right now is in shambles, and cannot try to revive them selves by signing these players to save their butts. Every single one of Chelsea players have potential, they just are playing with the wrong players.
