This just happened to me last battle Even though I could go 74 kph and extreme traverse speed, I accidentally went inside the trap and suddenly 2kph and non-existent traverse speed. I honestly thought the effects were just going to be x2 as powerful as a stun but no, it felt like x3 or even x4.
lol same. Although I used my usual strat in that tank to get away. Drop the fireball, as a sort of distraction or shield, then airstike to lock down the tracks. Suddenly the distraction becomes extremely dangerous and usually it leaves them weak enough to be killed by gun fire.
Hey Dez try to play steel hunter in platoons it is completely a different meta. You will see 3 teams teaming against you and you can't do anything about it. I would like to see a video of you playing platoons!
The Raven with Speed+Armor+Armor is absolutely broken. Amazing DPM and penetration both with magazine and single barrel, enough mobility to keep up with fast enemies and out-manouver the heavier ones, whilst also enough armor to bounce HEAT shells. And on top of that, brutal consumables. The best. Period.
@@awitcher5303 threat? When I play Arlequin the tank that I am MOST scared of is the raven, it so easily catches up with me and absolutely bullies the hell out of me. It scares me so much that whenever I spot a Raven, I immediately press D + Spacebar and book it out of there.
@@neeevirus really? I usually just eat Ravens when im fully upgraded, one airstrike one fireball and 10 shots from my machinegun and raven is dead within 10 seconds
@@awitcher5303 fully upgraded maybe, but at the beginning it's the most deadly opponent in my opinion, because you can't really outrun it as you can others
@@awitcher5303 I'm talking about at the start and semi-mid point of a battle, when you still havent fully upgraded. Your gun sucks, your speed and mobility isn't good enough. I also fully demolish an enemy as an Arlequin when I reach the highest tier using the exact same tactic as yours but even then for me it's just way too risky. What if I misplace the airstrike? Or I miss/dont penetrate my shots? The Raven could easily turn around and my gun penetrates 50% of the time and now he chases after me as I reload. What if the Raven quickly sets a trap and absolutely destroys my mobility? What if there are more enemies around? Idk but maybe we just have different play styles in our Arlequins, I play my Arlequin as a janitor, cleaning up the wounded enemies after 1v1 fights. But my original point is, the biggest threat of an Arlequin at the start of a battle is a Raven, especially when you get unlucky with the map placements and get close up to 1 or more. Arlequin is the weakest tank at the start and it cannot survive any sort of 1v1 against other tanks, but it doesn't matter since it has the mobility to avoid fights and run away. But the thing is, Raven has mobility too, it can easily catch up to Arlequin and just harass the fck out of it. Everyone in the match would want to fight and hunt an Arlequin, because it's such a small threat and easy to penetrate. And the best tank to hunt an Arlequin with is the Raven. That's why I'm scared of the Raven.

I'm having a lot of fun in the French vehicle. The HE auto cannon is hilarious! And distracting the enemy with a Fireball and then hitting them with an airstrike is pretty fun too.
@@tomoe6108 when I played the test server I tought so too because rhe heavys were the meta and its just hard to kill them with the French one but the meta here is raven so I think I will se more wins now
I think the Raven with horse power, turret armor and autoloader is by far the best build. I finished the event in 16 battles and i won 7 out of 8 with Raven autoloader, so i totally agree with you Dez

I love The german tank for me The armour is great and i love The gun. Also love The harbinger with chimera hull and ax turret with 5.5 wish they still had The 17 cm gun

Never tried the Raven or the Harbinger, but I feel particularly comfy with the Arlequin and the Walkure... Got to level 12 in a single day, and I'm 1 token away from the Char Futur. I love the HE Autoloading Arlequin builded in HP, and for the Walkure I love the HP build with the high RoF gun. One of the easiest wins I obtained was with the Walkure, cause you have armor, so angling a little improves a lot your survivability. By the way, nice video as always. Keep it up buddy
Depends of your playstyle, I prefer mobility so I use the French one... Easy to get 1st place. Full apcr with more pen, 10 shots, 10 reload secunda. Doens t matter if the enemy has 3000 hp, you can troll it, as have dpm to smash it, plus airstrike who stuns and that intelegent bomb. And you can always run and get the boxes with it.
Yesterday I was raging at the game cause the first battles I was doing were in the Soviet and German tanks. So I decided to play the Americans to see if it suffered. I stumbled upon the mobility, turret armor and insane gun. And literally won for the next 7 games in a row. Every time a duel happened I would get close and just right click, dab 5 and 6, and literally circle him to death.
I've been having success in the raven and the harbinger. Love farming arelequin's in late game. Not noticed any teaming in the solo queue so far. Just been a mostly fun mode so far :)
True. Any class can win the game but the Trap is way too OP. Even if they reduced the efficiency to 25% it would still be very good, they've just pumped it up too far.

Love this game mode but I got few questions....out of 20 players, only 5 (maybe 6) players get those points, which i think that can be improved. Next one- does that rule, which was in previous Stell Hunter still applied? You know, 2 friends getting in same battle and doing some wierd stuff ( not platoon mode, 1 vs 1). Because I had 3 out of 7 battles where I get 1 vs 1, full pimped up tank and after few seconds, 2 more comes and start shooting me, even when that one guy, which I'm fighting is on low health. Across the whole map, boom, there they are...of course, I get killed and game over. p.s.- and one bad, really bad thing in this mode is, again, stupid RNG. ):(
Arlequin is a monster. By playing passive and getting all mobility boost i was able to get i simply ran away from my enemies unless they are low on hp and rushed for loots. when i got level 7 i took the 10 shot gun and it became a super fast monster with 1100 clip damage. I had the consumable and ammunation advantage while problalby having the health advantage aswell since i was the “third guy” in general i had 3 battles of victories in a row. with this tactic i was able to get tokens anyways so i quickly climbed up on levels
Yeah, not even the Arlequin can move 74kph then suddenly 2kph which is absolutely ridiculous. I thoight my speed would atleast be like a damaged engine and my traverse speed would be like a batchat 25t but nope. Maybe it's a bug or something, idk, but I still hope Wargaming would change this by the next episode or else 90% of people would just play Raven
I got caught out by the zone freeze. Was Playing the Soviet tanks fully upgraded in armour and got the double barrel, full health to nothing even with the healing
Have yet to not place top 3 with the russian tank, the raven is dependent on you having the trap ability and not getting ganked by another tank mid fight. Now once the raven gets upgraded, it is definitely a beast. Russian tank can turn 2v1 into 2 1v1s with its mines, by trapping one tank out, and honestly the hull armor is stupid strong, you can angle both the front and the back to bounce at the same time against most tanks during the tier 4-5 phase. Once tier 7, just run double barrel and single shot until they are low enough for a double and execute. Not to mention it gets the same heal circle as the german tank except it's just flat out better for most cases as it moves with your tank.
@@acywei I find with the Russian boi its op at the start and at the end, at the start it gets decent armour and at the end the turret is basically unpenable and the hull is quite strong, not to mention the double barrel. But in my opinion the british tanks is still the best, you just hide at the start and at the end get full armour and big boi gun
won my first match of SH with the Russian tank. Short cooldown radio, high speed engine, double guns and armor alternating and bam, win. The hard part is not getting rushed by the german tanks early
@@mushi475 i mean, every build eorks but i think armor build on those 2 tanks works best cuz its the simplest one, wiggle a bit amd thats it. But ofc, any build can work if you know how to use it properly
The French vehicle is amazing if you just use it in a kind of boring way by keeping to the outskirts of the map untill late game than going in with your auto cannon while the last 3-4 tanks are fighting and picking off the lowest hp winners
The tank you use is sadly irrelevant as everything in wot the devide is and will always be those with a developed frontal lope will beat those with out no matter the tank
I just gonna add with the french tank, You can use the airstrike to deal 300 damage and stun, then use the fireball to deal at least 500 dmg, then you can come in with anti-tank machine gun (or high explosive mag) to finish off the remaining hit points. You can also use the fireball as a scout. It can spot any nearby enemy and track it down.
honestly personally i've been mostly using the german boi and 800 damage isnt that much, and neither the HE or machine gun build of the arlequine can deal enough dmg to take me out before i take them out.
@@jevry4307 Yeah but the Arlequin can easily out-manuever the Walküre while it's magazine and consumables are reloading. Would be kinda hard in a city though.
@@jevry4307 well yeah I would say that youu wouldnt be able to instantly kill a german as an Arlequin in one go, but if the german is in any sort of open area, then you can easily flank it's ass, and it's pretty fun penetratinh your HE shells on the rear doing 400dmg every 2 seconds for 8 seconds. But I still wouldn't go all out and 1v1 the german because it has so much goddamn health and regen.
@@ronmathewjoe i havent had big issues with keeping my gun on an arlequin as long as i rotate my hull as well. and even then i can always suddenly start rotating the other direction. btw the disadvantage of the magazine system is that i can regen loads of hp in between mags
I was done with it on day one. Well tbh I was done with it the first time they brought it out, after three horribly frustrating games. The only special mode I even remotely liked was historical battles. But ranked, frontline, steel hunter aka pubg with tanks, the ones against bots etc are just maddeningly frustrating, RNG dependent grind fests. I despise all of them.
Just minutes ago one of top Russian vlogers uploaded a video saying that playing Chieftain is a cheat :D Seems like the tanks are actually pretty balanced, apart from the French one.
This comment is for everyone thinking about which tanks would be best for platoon. The best are 2 British tanks (armor builded) and 1 French tank (mobility builded). Play safe till 5 lvl with french spotting and backing off to mates and then win every game. Personally i have 6 win strike with this platoon. (only 6 coz after it I got max lvl of steal hunter) GL
i somehow agree, i managed to be lvl 15 in 3 days. but i tried all of the tanks and if i dont get killed in the first mins i managed to be at least 5th in the game. heavy or med doesnt matter for me. just the french light is a no go for me, because hit and run. ive managed to be first in the GB, US and RU tanks at no time. the GE seems for me a bit weak (as it should NOT be) but in the regular tech tree its the same, sadly. russian game. ;)
I've played each of the nations equally and found that the Walküre (German Steel Hunters vehicle) has allowed me to win most of the battles in it by playing it the way Dez said to and by choosing the following upgrade route: II - Top Speed III - Radio Detection Cooldown IV - Damage per Shot V - Hit Points VI - Armor or Hit Points VII - Magazine Reloading or Loading Speed (Both are good with "Armor" turret but go with the "Loading Speed" gun with the "Hit Points" turret) Good luck all
Most EZ for win are Russian and German. Once you get you lv2 on Rusian and boost Dynamic you can reach lv7 without problem, but if find a german tank before boost your mobility you are dead. German Tank is Great after lv4. and other need lv 6 or 7 to be usefull. Most harder to win is france, you need luck to win with that thing haha. PD: i prefer rusian built Dynamic, Cooldown, Damage, Armor, Armor, Fire Rate
Yesterday I was able to get top 5 and even top 3 on occasion. Today every single game I couldn't. This is so RNG heavy!!! Do you get a lot of upgrades near you? You have a good chance of staying in the game. You don't? Game over. Do they 1v2 you or someone comes and pick off the survivor? Especially early on? Game over. Do you face one of the dps machines with cooldowns? Game over.
French tank, upgrade to level 3, get 75km/h, run away from everyone, get all the spawns, stay in the yellow, get the anti-tank machinegun, play to survive, 25% of the time you will get first place, 75% of the time you will get 200 points if you live past level 3. EZ game.
Every vehicle have pluses and minuses... but for me personaly Harbringer is best one Last gun have 290 penetration amd 490 alpha dmg...5,7 sec reload, but with berserker you can improve that to less than 3 seconds. And 290 pen is enough for any enemy vehicle...just best tank for me in steel hunter mode
My ranking would be different, I'd put the british tank at the very top because of its superior dpm and because of the berserker consumable. If you go full dpm, you do 280 alpha every 3,3 secs and with berserker even faster, then I recommend mobility because armor is still good and you can kill everything so fast that 1v2 becomes easy. A further point that puts the Harbinger over the Raven imo is that the Harbinger has armor at the start and dpm and will, therefore, win any stock early encounter, preventing you from dying at the start, which cannot be said for the Raven.
One 2-year old kid, full-time job and family life... do I have time for any of this? Why, yes! I've already reached level 14, and I'll probably get to level 15 tonight (or tomorrow 😉). And all this with only one win... I'll take it 🤘 [edit] and done ;-)
Once I killed the winner with the french fireball. I was in 1v1 (we fought for 1ST place), he obviously killed me, cause the french one is not good in the final battle. Before I died I used my both consumables and my fireball needed few seconds to activate, and actually killed the winner guy after I died !!! He still remained the winner though :(
German and Soviet tank are both underpowered because of their low penetration and strong-but-no-so-strong armor. They can't reliably penetrate other tanks (unless it's French one lol) and are being pened by others almost every time... I had a blast playing armor focused Soviet tank on test server and now somehow I'm struggling to be top 5 with it. Top 2 tanks on your list are high pene and dpm, "low" armor tanks and that really shows how the meta is today.
