This is hilarious, I'm a Lowrez hater but you said "a year now" like that's alot of time for game development. It is not at all.

@@tktrash6843 UE5 has been out for several years and the UE3 engine that smite1 used is almost 20 years old. You don't think they could be further along? sound like a lowrez fanboi to me tktrash lmao

@@tktrash6843 maybe i should articulate i think it's a poor allocation of resources for them to be redesigning the map (its asymmetrical now so theyll have to redo it again because they dont like that long term) and redesigning the way items work and redesigning the basics like magic damage and physical damage. and so they are left with about 2-3 gods per role. and we are talking about a genre (MOBA) that has already passed it's golden age. it seems like hemorrhaging the player base to try and put a new spin on the game after over a decade is a poor directional choice. further, i was a huge fan of the diversity in smite 1 as well as the people i played with. none of my homies care about smite 1 anymore and i can't get people to be interested in 2 god rotation in smite 2 so. hard to say if the ship has finally sailed after a decade you know? it's a bit melancholy. but it's not surprising. Lowrez ruins every game ever, smite was an anomaly to have been that decent for so long really.

i think the trade off lend itself to interesting build paths, it also lets the gods preform in multiple ways, especially gods like cern and chaac. makes characters more unique
