lotus is genuinely such an underrated manufacturer. They actually focus on what they want in a car; reliability (apparently not living up to toyota’s engine reliability), fun and design.

Lotus is too underrated man. I love Ferrari, Bugatti, hellcats, koegnigsegg, etc. but dude Lotus makes some sick cars. Praying they get their time in limelight again soon
What? It's either happened already, or is never gonna happen. The whole point of Lotus is that they *don't* go big. They're not about numbers, and their cars are pretty uncommon.
I've had this car for 2 months now and ownership has been such an incredible journey! I spec'd mine in Dark Verdant and I get looks even from non-car people. It truly is gorgeous inside and out and when the sun hits the paint it really pops!
they are loosing their game. lotus was a no compromise company with lightweight as their main focus. no joke some of their "facelifts" consisted of loosing a few hundred grams of some part. now theyre building electric SUV's.
@@drache444444and they're also having a hard time selling that electric SUV, so Lotus will likely disappear in the next few years (unless someone else buys the brand for some reason)
@@octagon_009 I have a Turbo K24a2 in my Lotus Elise. It’s a missile. I also own an Evora 400. That 2GR-FE is a great engine. Very smooth and reliable.
that supercharger is actually made by edelbrock.I used to be an engineer there, part of my job was helping manufacture the supercharger for these! Machined here in the U.S.A
I imagine the people at lotus making this like: “What engine should it have?” “Hmmm well I have an idea and all it requires is a supercharger and my wife’s minivan”

Seen one in traffic in south west Florida the other day. Broke my neck cause it wasn’t a Ferrari but it wasn’t a Lambo or a Porsche so I had to study it. Good to see Lotus still around. Always wanted an elise
My Dad had a Lotus Esprit when I was a really young kid. Black and gold. "John Player's Special" edition. You had to have a certain attraction to it. No matter how well it drives, I thought it was super ugly. The next generation in the 80's and 90's were VERY good looking cars. This thing is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
