@@Tommeh_Gaming Prolly to stop it from being a de facto push to pass button that drivers can just switch on and off as they want out of every corner, like you can with the R18
I think they should change it to 4 direction changes per lap. Going from Attack to Build is 3 changes on its own, and if you misclick it's 2 changes. If it was per direction change, it wouldn't be a problem
@@harrybirchall3308 Doubt it. Commercially available games aren't even remotely accurate enough to provide any meaningful data to F1 teams. Hell, Hamilton himself isn't a fan of their own multi million Pound simulator as it doesn't feel exactly like the real thing ...
@@harrybirchall3308 I agree it's unprecedented level of info shared - especially because it's current car. I'm just saying that all that data doesn't mean too much because the main limitation is still game's physics engine. It simply can't provide results accurate enough to properly reflect how the car would react in real life. And yes, some people have surely tried it, but probably solely for entertainment purposes and to satisfy curiosity. There's no competitive advantage to be gained here; the team already has better data from their own observations and simulations.
Love the F1 car i actually cried a little bit after placing a pretty competitive lap time thats relativly close to what the actual F1 guys did at Monza lol i cant wait to run official races in the car!! Also congrats to you Jimmer on the 750K subscribers!!!! Was blessed to be able to be at your stream last night to witness it!!
Looks great. You can almost sense the grip through the video just by how the steering inputs are matching the cars movement. Looks a lot like a real life on board. I was worried this video was gonna be about the new RSS f1 car on AC. Seems like they are suffering from the same problem you mentioned of "artificial grip" where the grip is huge but you don't really feel it.
I feel like this one has mor grip than the rss 2021, just by looking at the vid. Times seem to be the same though. AC for me feels a bit weird sometimes grip wise, like there's not progressiveness, especially in tight cars like f1's, where I don't even get anything in my ffb. But that's maybe due to the t300
As someone who's only Driven an F1 Sim game once (I felt turning the steering wheel was much harder, and lacked control, than it should have been but maybe that's just how it is) and just for an hour or so at that, it kills me how Jimmy makes it look so fucking easy.
I know that making an intro takes effort and by itself it was quite cool, I'm really glad that you changed it to starting the video immediately. Always felt bad skipping it
Honestly i've been on the fence about iracing ever since i upgraded to a capable rig, pedals, and base but with this coming out i think im finally ready to spread these cheeks to finally have a realistic simulation of an F1 car in a multiplayer format.
@@mattmurphy7030 its a pretty expensive game considering you have to pay for a subscription and almost all the content separately. Most people probably stick with assetto corsa since it only needs to be 10% as good as iracing to be the same value
Hey Jimmy, I know it's probably been mentioned already, but while you can't run custom template tga on the car, the car DOES still support the ingame 3 color paintbooth, they're way on the far right of the variant liveries.
I don't think that even the best simulator can prepare you for F1 They pull so many Gs with the tiniest turn that a simulator would never do it justice
I am in pretty good physical shape but I know my neck would give out before 1 lap. Also I hear the brakes will tax your leg pretty good. Gotta specifically train for the stress of an f1 car.
Makes me think the car ain't that realistic. Especially if it can take Pouhon flat when only the W11 could. Unless the track conditions are always awful in the real GP weekend
@@MaidikIslarj something's definitely fishy. The track record is Hamilton's Q3 lap from last year, and the 2021 regulations made the cars generally slower. To beat one of the fastest drivers ever by over a second, in a sim, in a slower car that was released a few hours ago, seems really improbable.
@@MaidikIslarj it is not about the car, it is about the game physics. We all know how good Iracing is in multiplayer stuff, but it's physics are not good enough specially if you compare them with the other sims.
May be that he went off track in some spots that would have the time deleted. Iirc iracing counts the time when you get an off track in practice (but not quali)
Looks awesome! Really want to try some VR. Feels like your head is offset too the body though almost on your left shoulder lol? Potentially tracking is a bit out?
I noticed the MGU K gets stuck too. I wonder if someone can comment if this is a bug or if there are certain conditions where the mode won’t change. Great video, Jimmy!
I’ve seen a bunch of other colors and liveries in sessions already, so I’m not sure if the paint thing is true? Maybe they are pre-approved ones from Merc, not sure, but I’ve definitely seen stuff other than the black 2021 livery.
