Kaycee's mod has been a rough game for me; i love inscription and was so excited to continue playing but i find it extremely difficult for my to play.. Watching your videos of strats and combos has been bringing my love for the game back! Glad i found your content and who knows, maybe ill get as good as you at this game!
If you watched his video about the Fair Hand mechanic, then you pretty much know how to beat the whole Kaycee's Mod challenges once you unlock the high cost starter deck. But I also recommend going for unlocking the 3 items before going all in, those new items are really good at helping with the wall of grizlies.
@@jean-1009 The items are good but not that necessary and I find them wayyy too rng based to focus on, I beat skull storm before unlocking all three. My best advice is: if you're going to unlock them make that it's own run, otherwise you'll get nowhere.
Man I remember I had a kaycee's mod run where I was given a beaver with the sigil that returns it to my hand once it dies and a sigil that immediately plays it when something on my side of the field dies, so I had an immortal beaver who infinitely died and came back
Legitimately worth considering in some situations. Pretty substantial upgrade from unplayable in my book. Thanks for sharing this, I was wondering how those interactions would work!
I once ran a ant deck build, where I gave the flying ant unkillable and later passed one of those trials and got another flying ant that had dam building and the sigil that gave you free items. All this, and I had a toten that gave all insects the ability to give me rabbits when played. And then I visited a mycologist My turns to so. Bloody. Long. But I was basically able to turn playing the flying ant into a full ant board for TONS of samage by turn 2
Remember; a lot of the time if a card seems bad it’s because there’s a very specific way to bring out its potential. Sometimes playing cards that aren’t ‘meta’ can lead to some funny stuff
I discovered this mechanic when I got a Beaver from a Trial that had Trinket Bearer and Unkillable on it. After a turn of blocking, I was just spamming four Unkillable Dams and using items to fight.
Walked into this video expecting to know all the tips (especially the God Dam), but ended up learnings some new stuff, too. Informational as always, Exxo
It also has a good combo with un-dying, you will end up with two damns that you can Simmons to block for the rest of the fight anytime you want, essentially shutting down two lanes.
You should make a video on all of the interesting fledgling effects on certain cards. So far the only special effects that fledgling has is on ants, which after a turn transforms into a Queen ant
Beaver + Magpie on a Hand Tentacle-centered deck is hilarious. Even funnier if you get a Corpse Eater bird totem and fill your deck with magpies. At one point I had my entire deck (including all my squirrels) in my hand.
Giving the magpie/beaver the deck search ability/dam builder is just going "I SUMMON POT OF *POT OF GREED* " and then not being able to play all three of the cards you just got
also if youre running the black goat starter deck in kaycees mod, if you somehow fail to get undying or many lives, dam builder is almost like a poor man's third option for the black goat
I actually accidentally got this card in one of the trial's, and it came with both the magpie's picking card ability and the get an item ability, it was pretty wild xd
I want an inscryption dlc in wich you can use those act 2 cards in kaycees mod too and also a bit of new story with a real grimora and magnificus boss fight
every time I've seen the beaver card, I've said "huh, I bet there's something interesting someone could do with that strategically" and then proceeded to sacrifice it to the bone lord. But I think I stopped playing before they buffed the dam builder sigil
Did the black goat with undying sigil and got a totem with dam build for deer kin and it was beautiful. The dams were able to be sacrificed for up to 3 blood and when they were destroyed by Leshy beast or getting sacrificed while they return to hand and cost nothing to summon again especially made me had an unlimited walls as long didn’t had flying foes but you always have this combo during turn 1. So y’all know how this combo works the game has it where it gives you a card you can play on turn 1 always, being either one blood or no blood cost but bone creatures do not fall under here as it required other creatures to be summoned and died in some shape or form. You can see this in action consistently if open Kaycee mod and use the black goat starting deck just need to get rid of the mole and don’t ever pick a minion costing 0 or 1 blood
i usually do the alpha - beaver combo, but instead of giving the alpha's sigil to the beaver i do it the other way, so the alpha's affected by totems (it's op when you get the unkillable sigil, you just get free dams)
if you have blood sacrifice on the card that summons dams, the blood sacrifice dams can be sacrificed. Had this on a black goat with hoarder and one goat (+2 dams) allowed me 3 search the deck and 3 seperate 3 blood sacrifices all on the play.
I recently managed to get a Black Goat with Hoarder and Dam Builder from a Deck Trial and absolutely dominated that run by abusing the fair hand mechanic. It was glorious.
I remember I ended up using the unkillable sigil when I was playing and immediately started laughing. Next run I used The Daus and gave it dam builder as well, not sure why I did it besides the laughs
Well, you could always put Dam Builder on a Mole Man (or the reverse if you want to have at least some ability to attack) to counter flying enemies, couldn't you? Dam Builder (and Bellist for that matter) are underrated. Though I'd definitely rather sacrifice a beaver than a daus.
This also applies to chimes; If you put the Kraken sigil on The Daus, would the Bell Tentacle register the other tentacles as chimes still? Would the Daus in tentacle form still retaliate against ones who attack chimes in tentacle forms?
3 days ago i played inscryption for the first time ever. i obviously died a lot, but on the 4th run… i got the 4 blood, 7 att/hp card (dont remember name), and a lot of pelts. later, i died. so i was gonna make a deathcard. these are the options i had: blood: 0, 0, 4 stats: 7 7, 0 1, 0 1 sigils: blank, blank, touch of death + omnistrike (mantis). next (5th) run, i got the ring worm AND the deathcard#4 in my STARTING DECK. i killed the campers, and got my deathcard to 12 dmg and 24 hp. i used it to get Leshy’s 1st phase over with in a single turn (a no cost 24 dmg (basically) card is insane). then i got my 4 dmg mantis god to finish off his 2nd phase, and i killed the moon in 2 or 3 hits. basically: insane run. havent touched the game since, but i wanna play it today.
Works with the lizard too AND if you buff the lizard the tail gets extra stats. So you can campfire a lizard and add power and when it splits you have two X hitting creatures. If you give them triple strike then you get a lot for one blood. I also wonder if the Dam idea works for Daeus rat thing and his bells
Around 3:27 you can see a weird item on the right, the thingy with the purple circular arrows. What item is that? I haven't gotten too far into Kaycee's Mod but I have never seen that thing before.
I think bone digger gives 2 bones automatically on any card but since dire wolf pap turn into dire wold and looses the bone finder you don't get that 2 bone per round
You want to make a Bone Deck? I can help with that! I've mastered Bone Deck's in Kaycee’s Mod! I was gonna make a tutorial on it, but, um… procrastination happened. I can still teach you, though!
I don't think it's that the beaver card and it's sigil are bad per-say, but terrain cards in general not doing enough for the cost of having them (Considering they're unremovable by the player). I personally feel that there needs to be more cards that utilise terrains in an interesting way, such as removing or buffing them (It's definitely the most untouched mechanic, and undeservingly too because it can create some interesting tradeoffs).
I just wish we had the option of hammering our terrain. Even if you couldn't hammer anything else, it'd be nice to be able to destroy the dams on command, or the pre-generated boulders that show up occasionally on your side
My favorite combo with this sigil is unkillable. If you play your cards right (No pun intended), you can keep farming dams to create an endless supply of unkillable walls. Beats almost every encounter and buys you time to do whatever you’d like.
