few days ago built my brothers first actual gaming desktop coming from laptops pretty much his whole life. the one he ended up deciding on and was a breeze to build in is called the Aqua 7 by Okinos. it kinda has that lian li look with the side and front glass with the intake fans on the back side. but same with this case it has vents along the bottom and fans under the gpu on the bottom of the chasis. 80$ for that case with 6 preinstalled 120mm argb fans it was a hell of a deal. highly rec doing a video on it for people who want alot for not much at all

I really have considered buying this case, but unfortunately the issue with the PSU is an absolute can’t do for me as my PSU cables just don’t fit. Maybe the next one will be better.

I'm really happy with Lian Li. Throughout the years they've really brought us quality for a rather normal price and sometimes even considerably cheaper than other premium manufacturers.

Do you remember when all their cases where 100% aluminium and used acrylic instead of tempered glass I had one of those cases for my Opteron build back in the day when ATI made better gpu's then Nvidia

I just installed a lianli edge psu in my rig, it really does make cable management so much easier. Also they arent over priced. I got a platinum rated 850w psu for the same price as and cheaper than some gold rated 850w psu.

I have a 216 and it's my absolute favorite case ever, I may have to give this one a try. To shut the power supply off one could probably just use the little poker thingy used to manually open a dvd drive.

Recently changed my very old Bitfenix Prodigy M to Lian Li LANCOOL 205M Mesh. The 205m looks like a bit smaller, a bit cheaper brother of this one. Still a lot of room to build matx, very good build quality, 2x 140 pwm rgb fans included - I'm very happy with this. No need to spend more.

Saw Steve looking at this when they were previewing it, and bought one a few days ago after more reviews kept coming out. Not here yet but excited to build in it. Was going to get Fractal North, but price and it not doing 360aio when the 207 can at a better price, had to go for 207!

It is a little too big for me as well. Butttt I can’t complain too much because I wanted something that would fit any size gpu and also top notch thermals and I got it.

Yeah, me too. I used the 216 case for my first build, because the space makes it easier and compatible with pretty much everything. I dont really mind the size, it looks nice (and the PC worked on first try, heh)

I think this is about the best use of space you can get with an ATX board and a 360 on top. No extra BS, no reason for it to be any bigger. If you want dual 420s on a custom loop and a 10 stack of 20TB HDDs just get a different case. The only problem I see is the distance of your EPS connectors to the back of your PSU. To cable manage everything into the proper canal, you will need to get about a 25cm cable extension coming off of your mobo's EPS if they are in typical above the VRM position, otherwise your standard length cables will have to go diagonally across the back plate. I see a good 2 pack on Amazon for $11 and I still think this case is the best thing available and a great price even with this addition, but it is easy for folks to get ripped off and buy a $50 cable if they don't search right - or worse, some fire hazard off of AliXP

The sideways PSU is a good addition for Lian Li as a core problem I have faced is wire management which is worse is smaller cases. I use a O-11 D evo and with a couple drives and loads of fans, wiring is still a cluster-mess, and If i need to change/add 1 cable it's a pain to get to the psu. I got tired of psu cabling so much I switched to a sfx psu just to have more room, which does sacrifice bigger gauged wires. Having that bottom mesh panel easily removable with a couple thumb screws is a good move because it makes it still easy to switch the psu off, unlike some other cases i've seen.

I have a Lancool II mesh and it came with the ability to mount 2 x 120 mm fans in the power supply shroud that pulls in air from the lower mesh panels on either side it does help a lot I noticed an almost 8* C change on the gpu once I mounted 2 fans there

This reminds me a good bit of my LanCool II which I love. has the bottom side mesh but they're on hinges so slightly more troublesome when removing and the PSU is in the standard back-bottom location. I have a custom loop in this case with a 360 mm rad up front and a 240 up top cooling a 5600x and 3090

I've been searching for a more compact case that will fit my RTX 4070 Ti and sit on the shelf that my stereo system sits on. I use my TV as my monitor and I've been questing for as compact a case as I can find but still provides decent airflow. This one you reviewed is definitely going on my list. The airflow on my current case, I am not happy with since I had to do the airflow out on the bottom of the case so I won't end up with heat getting sucked back in.

I think that the PSU power connector is just an oversight. Everywhere where they have 240v 16A breakers allow for well over 3000W, So this is only a restriction if you have to run your PSU off of 110v / 120v. If I designed something that wouldn't be something I'd think of either.

Would love to see a build of this case with the edge power supply. The possibility just make an air build with it and seeing what temps are like just with a nice build with fans. And use smoke to show airflow haha. But love your content.

I do like Lian Li products and for a sub-£100 case, it's great... I wanna see the Lian Li 217 with its wood accent pieces, I'm thinking of getting a case with wood and so far the Antec Flux Pro is ticking all the boxes, especially with the temp display.

19:50 I disagree, 2 spots for 2.5" or 3.5" drives are plenty for a case made in 2024. m.2 ssds, both nvme and sata are the same price as 2.5" sata ssd. so if you buy new, buy nvme ssd, if you take from previous build, 2 is enough.

Pretty sure this is the same model case I have. It's a fantastic case for the price. Highly recommend it. One thing I do remember though is if you use an aio cooler, there is not a lot of clearance on the top for the radiator. It does fit though.

I guess it depends on where you are. In Europe it costs as much as the Lancool 216. So it definitely costs more than what it should be.

So that PSU doesn't fit, or cannot be fitted, as it is full width and there is no way to plug in the power lead. Still a good value case if it suits your needs

Including fans in a budget case doesn't cost much. More cases need to include some. Lian Li makes high quality cases.

I watched another review that commented that the front 2x140 fans aren't really replaceable. That the included LianLi fans have dimensions rhst fit them shug but aren't really standard and of you try to use other 140mm fans they won't fit. Would like to hear other people test that. Also, why didn't they extend the hole pattern for venting above the PSU across further? Feel like that would be better when you might have to mount the PSU fan up.

reason why that gpu sag support does not work is that your gpu is in the 3rd slot, the mobo is the problem hehe most mobos have the gpu slot at the 2nd slot so if you use a mobo built like that, you should be fine

i'm not really feeling this, it seems somewhat inconvenient. for me something like a montech xr seems prettier and easier to build in, while somehow cheaper, with the same features and good build quality.
