Fantastic work! Congratulations!! As a genealogist this is a big deal! It's sad that we lose track of some cemeteries! Thankfully guys like y'all do the things you do. ❤
A hole lot of people are going to be very happy that the lost cemetery has bin found 😊 please be safe out there and God bless everyone in your family and friends 🙏
Congrats Dan and Robert and everyone who played a role in the discovery of the Baugh Family final resting place in Baughville, GA. Thanks so much for sharing and taking us along on the adventures of old times and places.
Congratulations I knew you boys would find it. You two are like hounds on a track of something. And now they are no longer lost. Maybe folks will clear it out so it will be visited again. Thank you Robert and Dan for searching and sharing with all of us.
Best ever, Robert!! I can feel your excitement!! What a great Adventure Into History!! Nathan would be pleased!! I think you do know them, I feel like I do just from what you shared from the book and on video.😊 Just amazing and their story. I appreciate all of your efforts and the team. Thanks to Dan for his story/details of the history too. Great photos inserted! You did a wonderful job of editing and putting this video together!!❣️❣️👍👍 🎉🎉 Of all of your uncovered stories I feel this is the most special to date!!!
I hope someone will clear the cemetery now that you’ve found it. Congratulations on your finding these graves and thank you for your not giving up the search! I’m sure descendants of these people will be grateful to know where their family members are laid to rest.
I’m so glad you filmed the moment you uncovered the graves! I guess it just took multiple visits to prove to Nathan you were serious about bringing him into the light again. How serendipitous Mr. Walton showed up when he did. Just amazing!
Congratulations Robert. I could see the joy and excitement on your face when you started uncovering the leaf cover off of the first grave you uncovered.
This is quite interesting especially when Dan mentioned that a son moved to Texas. Growing up our neighbor lady was a Baugh- sister to the Football player Sammy Baugh.
Hi Robert and Dan im glad you found the graves so at least there memories are remembered again well done both 👏 👍 😀 all the best Andrew south wales uk 👍 👌 😀 🇬🇧
Hey Robert, a lot of peeps from Georgia came to Colorado during the gold rush. We have a house in our historical society called The Baugh House. It has been preserved and is part of a park. Highly possible this branch of Baugh family came from your Baughville. No I haven't researched but I found its interesting and coincidental though. Just maybe hmmm. Really good series of episodes .
Good job Mr Dan and Mr Robert, Now if somebody could organize a group of volunteers to go out and clean up the grave yard on occasion that would be awesome.
This has quickly become my favorite channel. I stumbled upon the video on the Perryman house/suicide after discovering Mr Elisha Perryman was my 4x great grandfather. And, I've since discovered some Marshall family members in Talbot county. Thanks for the history lessons!
I love Dan. He's great to have and such a knowledgeable historian. Hi, enjoy watching your videos so much. I love to hear Dan go off on a story and explain the background of all the things he knows. There were so many lives that were forgotten and these people had children and feelings and were loved. And it's just such a joy to see them being re discovered again And that finally they can have a new voice and an identity in some form. Thank you for all that you do your videos are gifts.
I LOVED this history lesson guys! THANK YOU for taking us along and bravo for locating that old lost cemetery. You inspired me to open up my My Ancestry page and do some work on it. Rest in peace Nathan Baugh, Ann Elizabeth, and Katie. You are not forgotten.
Wonderful. Happy that you have found it. I am doing something similar, trying to preserve the history of a long gone community near where I was reared. I found the location of the blacksmith shop now I am trying to determine the name of the blacksmith.
You guys are awesome! I’m from a small town in Virginia. I laugh because my mother used to tell the oral history of my little town just like you two. I love this channel. I get it… one person knew somebody from a previous generation who knew someone and so on and on. I totally appreciate what you do.
Outstanding! Congratulations! I know how hard you both have worked to find that cemetery. The antiques were a great bonus. Watch out, looks like Dan's son, Briley, is well on his way to helping out with the historical info.
I'm so stoked for you all! I knew they wanted you to find it, how awesome you can now connect them back with their families. No such thing as coincidence they sent the land owner to guide you alright. Now it will never be lost again. Brilliant work and thanks Dan for the wonderful stories and even artifacts!
Crazy to think that people would travel and not know where they were staying that night, and then have to talk to people to try to pin down a place to sleep. And, of course, congratulations on the awesome find!!!
I'm so glad you kept looking and found it. I know how great the feeling is. I found my Great Grandma's grave after 10 years of hunting. Okay my sister spotted it, but I had found the area. LOL
Dan and Robert, your excitement is infectious upon finding the Baugh family. 🙂 I sit here thinking of how Dan's knowledge of this history could make a wonderful book and even a television series, such as Little House on the Prairie! Beautiful Georgia history!
I took note of your comment that you feel you know these departed folks in their lost graves. I put together 3 family trees in 3 years, back in 2015 to 2018. ( It's amazing to whom you are related ). The more research i did, the more i knew the ancestors. I would follow the father's family line till there was no more information available. Then i worked my way back, again going down parents' lines, till i reached my starting point. Many a long night of insomnia... my husband is related to the present English King Charles, through Alfred the Great and William the Conquerer. We both share ancestors in the 700 AD,s to 800 AD,S plus Mark Antony and Cleopatra, if you believe everything you read. So, ancestors, cemeteries, churchyards, graveyards are truly fascinating places to me. Google Earth will allow you to zoom in and take screenshots of these places, print them out and put the pic in the family tree folder.
Wow, I am so glad that you found that cemetery after all the time you’ve been looking for it and all the other ones you’ve done you do a great job Robert and thanks for showing us the antiques as well. They are really cool looking.❤️🐾🐾
You were persistent! The cement wall looked like a foundation of a building and people probably thought it was just a lost building. Please wear gloves, Robert!
I got a little choked up watching this video. How thrilling to finally find these folks after so much searching. At one point you sounded so discouraged, Robert. I thought you might give up. You guys are rock stars!
I’m so thrilled for you in finding Nathan Baugh grave site. I never doubted you. You have a lot of dedication n determination to get it done. I enjoyed it so much listening to Dan give some wonderful history of the Baughs n others. I can’t blame Dan one bit of not using that beautiful piece of a poker made by Mr. Nathan Baugh son. It’s part of history. Have to say this video was one special one that I will remember always. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟👍👍
This awesome y'all finally found it. I've been watching this little adventure y'all been on for the Baugh Cemetery. You can see it from the road....yeah, a hundred years ago ha ha. The carvings look great even with having decades of cover on it.
Congratulations! 🎉 Your & Mr. Dan's persistence is amazing. You never gave up searching when many people did. I hope the descendants are grateful; without both of you I believe these graves would have been permanently lost to time. Excellent work gentlemen ❤
This is awesome guys that you found the grave site!! Dad you need to write sone sort of an information book about all the history you know with the people who were once there and history.
Congratulations Robert and Dan. That is so cool that you found the graves. It was beneficial that they could tell you where they weren’t so that you didn’t waste your time searching. Donna northern Michigan
The only problem I see is that if someone doesn’t have the land cleaned up and the cemetery marked with a sign that property could end up being cleared for a shopping center or a housing development
One day it could be. Depends on the laws about removal or relocation. Private properties can be done with what the owners want to do. Although it's far away, only time will tell. There are many stories where this has happened.
What an exciting adventure you folks have been on. It was so exciting to watch you uncover Nathans' grave...well done Boys!!! Thanks once again for taking us along 💗
This was a great episode, y'all! Thanks for all the info and connecting the dots. That crutch tells a story of ingenuity, necessity, and skill. Thanks again.
