Great plug-in but the price is out of reach for many people that are using Final Cut.

Powerful plug-ins. Personally, for what I do RotoAI is the only one I would want. However, there is no way I am paying close to €200 a year for one plug-in.

Im a big fan of final cut pro and i use it everyday for all of my videos, but i think all these options need to be implemented in final cut by default. Other softwares like davinci and premiere are including more and more features to their products and final cut for me is going further and further behind from the others. They need to some changes

The fact that to get the two tools you showed off in the video does not come as separate purchases sucks. I think they should make it an option to purchase those separate along with the subscription. I did share that with them.

Hope they can make a perpetual license version of this plug in.

Watching this, I was already prepared to be blown away by the price, but they still managed to exceed my expectations with a goddamn subscription model!

Very impressive but the subscription model is a deal breaker. As an amateur a monthly fee is too costly which is why I use FCPX.

I noped out of the subscription model, and the only WoAH feedback is coming from the affiliates of the release campaign.

They need to have a straight out purchase for this.. I hate all the subscription based softwares like Adobe.

This is a really sad day... I seem to have understood that the other plugins (mPuppet, mFlare and the various mTrackers) will no longer be updated for free... I hope I misunderstood...

Interesting software but, sadly, above my pay grade. I'm also trying to avoid monthly fees for anything...esp plugins.

So what happens to people like me who bought mtracker 3D ? I would buy one off roto or surface but I think the whole after effects costs 1/2 as this plugin even if we compare subscription fees. It’s the first time the mvfx disappoint me on the pricing strategy.

I was excited, until I saw the word ‘subscription’. No thank you. The sad part is, I understand the need for continuous payment to the developers when they are constantly updating their software due to various changes in the hardware landscape amongst other factors. I get it. But I would rather pay a one time fee for the software and choose what updates I opt in to pay for whether they are major or minor. Give the clients the choice instead of locking us in to yet another subscription model. I wish them all the best but it’s not for me.

The UI for these tools are so beautiful. Apple desperately needs to modernize FCP

I probably spend $10k/year on average on hardware, software, & plugins. But I’m just a hobbyist and a subscription to this plugin is too expensive given how often I might actually use it. However, despite research and watching numerous YT videos, you are the first person to explain/demonstrate rotoscoping in a way that I finally understood it. THANK YOU!

Mesh mode is really really impressive. I couldn't justify 20 bucks a month though even for all that.

Haha 20$ a month that's the monthly subscription fee for After Effects.

Woah! I’m blown away at how clean and intuitive the UI is for this. It’s so simple and integrated. So many other plugins and programs feel like I’d have to learn another language just to use them, but this looks extremely well thought out.

Tried mRotoAI and unfortunately have to say that it blows Keyper out of the water. This should be standard functionality in FCPX, but it isn't, so $20/month is money well spent if you need the functionality (which I love, personally). Another banger video Dylan!!

Does this require Apple Silicon or will Intel Macs work?

Another great video Dylan, shame the plugin does not work with Intel Macs though. As my Mac is the last Intel version I am not going to buy a new mac for one app, or just a subscription.

As Bret as these tools are it’s really expensive for something that’s basically neat eye candy. These are special effects type of plugins and not something that is bread and butter story telling content creation. This is significantly more expensive than the host NLE they are used on which is still doing 95% of the work of a project. Again impressive for what they do but it’s too expensive per year. The really downside is forcing customers to buy tools they want not have any interest in at all to help those tools sell more. This subscription only really has two new tools in it. Everything else is existing products customers either already own or never had any interest in or use for. It’s not so much the subscription model that is the issue here but the forced package subscription model. It’s forcing us to fund a bunch of tools we may have no need for just so the company can keep support for those tools alive.

wish Apple would get their finger out and get some of this developed in the product. Especially Roto, something that been in DVR for ages

Guys…you guys are blowing the subscription out of proportion. Subscription = constant upkeep. Hell i wish Final Cut would be a subscription if it meant they would come out the Stone Age and give us meaningful updates. The reason they don’t is because they no long make revenue from Final Cut purchases years ago. They have no motivation to upgrade it. 1/4 of my plug from other vendors I bought years ago from other vendors no longer work.. why? No upkeep. Cmon think

No way for subscription. I own the motion trackers and they only grant another 3 free month subscription. No buy. That was rotopinsel in AfterEffects in CS 5. I own DavinciResolve. One comes out with it like autotransciption and then every software has got it. But the first, who bought it should only wait. In a small period of time every NLE will have something like that included. Don‘t hasitate. They only melk the cream.

This software needs a lot of work!!! It works ok for 4k and less but if you're working with anything higher it's extremely slow and unreliable. The AI cannot track with the slightest bit of blur or unfocus. I hope the software engineers are not giving up on this because Davinci's magic mask is still superior to AIroto

I keep seeing videos about this same set of tools. They're great, but as a small creator I'm not going to pay a monthly subscription for them. It's come to the point where you can't get any useful software without paying by the month. It's pure corporate greed and we need to stand up against it. Don't buy this subscription!!!

The problem is that all plugin companies are following this path, imagine if you use 5 plugins from 5 different companies, there are 5 subscriptions, this type of plan will be very disruptive to consumers

Subscription only? No thanks. I won't ever rent software. They only thing I'll pay monthly for are utility bills... But even then I know if i don't use any energy i won't have to pay anything that month. Subscription only models can go jump in a lake... I'm not playing this stupid game with software vendors.

Just be a little patient everybody. This technology seems revolutionary right now, but it will soon become mainstream and the era of manually masking a moving subject will be a thing of the past. The price of this App is not worth it in my book…..unless you are a professional.
