No evidence, no hunt, and the ghost wont do activity anywhere close to the players. Like the most paranormal stuff, activities can only be captured using vidcams and sensors. So... realism challenge??

I got totally fooled by a hantu mimic. Found the room right away, it killed the breaker on me a couple times, I was absolutely sure. boom! illest mimo.

Bro, I'm playing the same way as you, I don't know why, but I hate being chased and I panic when that happens... This is funny because I usually don't play alone, I played Phasmo for more than 300 Hours, but I NEVER played alone, So when I play I'm always with my friends, one of my best friends is the same as insym who always goes loop the ghost, don't panic, always inside the house without the lights on. It's just funny the way we play, bc of course I don't stop playing because of fear, but I never stay indoors for long unless I have to, especially in the dark! But when I look, the maniac is playing with the ghost as if it weren't a threat.

@@joaolucasmoraeschristofole1685 I don't have friends on the most part so I have to play alone but I can still do it. One did get me into Phas but they don't play anything anymore. Admittedly Demons are a big reason I don't like playing. Just hate the anxiety of 'no matter what you do this thing can still screw you over'. It's only a 1/24 (slightly higher I guess cus mimic) and I know how to hide and can 'usually' tell when it's actually hunting but it's just 'ugh, don't like'. It's really annoying that this challenge isn't how amateur or the lowest setting is by default because realistically there's not much difference between amateur and professional. Okay sanity drains faster but that doesn't matter if you are in the light all the time and beginners don't tend to know that anyway. Set up time? Barely matters, even if you are in the dark constantly you might only 'just' be in hunt range of the average ghost in 5 minutes. Grace period? Most beginners don't know how to tell events or hunts apart. More hiding spots? Beginners don't use hiding spots correctly if they can even find them in the panic of the moment.

100% feel you. there's certain ghost events that even scare the shit out of me. I have LOVED using the challenge mode on other maps so I can play and not worry about hunts lol. Playing regular with friends I now have to remind myself that it can hunt haha

Same, I always feel anxious to keep sanity of my team at least above the 50% to minimize attack from most of the ghosts. It's not like I can't loop them, but in state of anxiety I completely miss the keys on the keyboard and die in the most shameful ways XDD My playbuddy is the same, she just tucks into nearest corner in state of panic, not caring about ghost easily seeing her there. So having a challenge, where one could just breathe out, relax and take long time on walking and searching - is a nice change of pace. And it's also neat, that this challenge can be recreated whenever we want and on different maps through Custom Mode difficulty

I had anxiety like that after my first few games absolutely scared the crap out of me. Then I learned about the strategy on Camp Woodwind where you start with zero sanity and almost everything maxed out to get like 10x multiplier. Both Insym and Maggstor have videos on it. You go in, drop salt around the tables to the left. Maybe bring in a candle, motion sensor and camera depending on the objectives. You throw in your items, bring smudges and a lighter and then hide behind the picnic tables. You go as quick as you can to figure out what the ghost is, maybe loop it around the table, but your goal is basically to have one or two hunts, then leave and make an educated guess. That's it. You can eliminate a bunch of ghosts quickly and have only a few left to pick from. Sometimes you get a Banshee or Wraith who starts a hunt right on top of you and that sucks, but you just go right back in and keep at it. You could bring a crucifix to stop it from hunting right on top of you, and then just guess and leave so you can re-roll and try again. Trigger hunt, observe ghost, loop it through salt and take a pic. Then leave quickly. In and out in 1-2 minutes. If you get it wrong, you don't lose anything but the consumables and if you got a pic or two, you get a few bucks for your trouble. If you get it right, the rewards are fat. You can level up to all tier 3 items in a couple hours with lucky guesses. You'll break your fear of hunts really fast. You're also only bringing smudges, lighter, salt and maybe a photo cam so you're never losing a lot of money if you get killed. Lowest tier items are fine.

​@@smhwolvi Each interaction on a valid surface will always produce a fingerprint or a footprint. Exception being the Obake which has a 25% chance to hide prints. There is also a modifier that can reduce the fingerprint modifier. Fingerprints do disappear after like 1 or 2 minutes tho

The goryo not giving dots might have been you being in the room, (goryo can only enter dota state when no one is in the room) or just plain bad rng, goryos are really stubborn giving dots sometimes. And the demon is able to use their ability, but the hunt will get canceled. Similarly, it can use the ability in the setup phase, but still won’t hunt, but the ability will be counted in the post game stats.
