just know breaking grabs is easy after practicing it. theyre way slower than they used to be and the chain grabs are really predictable for most kings right now since a lot of people are new. just know when he CAN chain grab and practice your reactions with either king or dragunov in the lab.
King is a character from 94, he is an og. The younger ones are actually the likes of Potemkin, Alex, Hugo (SF3 char), etc. Got got to the table before them.
I've been using King for almost 5 hours and i have never seen half the grabs you did within the first 1:30 xD Why does this shet have to be so confusing... T_T I will learn though.
You've got absolutely goated King players out there like Lil Majin, you can check their guides! Also, MainManSwe made a "King in 8 minutes" guide that could be useful if you're on the newer side. Enjoy my second favorite grappler after Gief, King is so much fun to play!
Hah, thank you. Zangief is my favorite grappler aswell. ^^ And yeah, i'm indeed on the newer side. The last time i played tekken (Tekken 5 i believe) was probably like in 2012.. and that was for only around an hour or so.@@___._
Already in love with the character I see lol. One of these days you should try for a Rolling Death Craddle, it's more of a meme than any of King's other moves but it's definitely worth doing at least once
Fun fact: Giant swing deals massive damage when it hits a wall. Also, not sure about this since iit its old T7 tech, if enemies when thrown by giant swing on the ground, they can press a certain button combination to reduce the damage
It gets even more damage if you "Blue Spark" it, aka do the input as fast as possible. If you manage to throw someone into the wall with a "Blue Swing" as I call it, you,ll straight up delete half the opponent's health bar.
I swear to god, I can't really say how much your potemkin videos helped me and inspired me, I started too playing grapplers and they're the most fun characters ever, I only hope the best for you in the future ❤❤

your mission now is to learn rolling death cradle. its never been easier. after landing arm breaker, do the following - press and hold 2, press and hold 1 while still holding 2, then press 3. after that, it's just 1, 3, 4, 2, 1+2. you can do it!
No disrespect to the OG grapplers like Zangief but Wrestler Archetypes in fighting games are so much cooler when you give them chain throws and throw combos as opposed to just simple big damage command grabs. That said, BandaiNamco, Where's Armor King?
God dammit I hope so. I hope Demon Dan can join Snake Eyez and Lil Majin at the round table of Legends. Not just because he's good, but because these edits make him look damn good. I can never get enough.
Tekken really is the best fighting series. Easy to pick up and do cool things, incredibly difficult to master, if even possible. But lay off the baby noobs in group match huh?

Hey you need to set a key binding for all buttons at once, in kings grapple chains you can spam it for way easier chains, makes rolling death cradle so easy when you figure it out
King has always been hype to watch but never quite my flavor of grappler. He just lacks something that other 3D grapplers like Marduk or Soul Calibur's Astaroth has that really gives me that big serotonin hit. Glad to see our man Dan branching into 3D though.
King is as many described a walking "knowledge check". If you know how to face him, it's a matter of anticipating his throws and knowing how to break the chain grabs. Otherwise, you're just free. It's "put down the controller and watch the cutscene". I can see why this sort of grappler style can seem a bit stale. For me, it feels on brand for Demondan. He relishes in editing these hilariously long grabs with flashy memes. I can't get enough personally. It's like snacking on potato chips.
From one King main to another, here's a tip: press 1+2 on hit from your back+3 power crush, it transitions to a leg drop for some nice extra damage AND buys you some more time to decide your next move. May your Giant Swings and Tijuana Twisters all be blue spark throws!
i think this is still in tekken 8 but when manage to land the death roll or giant swing, if you spam your buttons you can get a lot of damage and is useful because not a lot of people that that if you mash on those inputs you can negate some of the damage
