Wait, do people not give a guy flowers or a plant or something as a house-warming gift?? I have moved several times and every time me and my girlfriend/wife got flowers and/or plants (or the best: Lego Flower bouquet!)... And who gives flowers at a funeral? Or do you mean the dead guy gets flowers? In what country is it customary that a dead person gets flowers? Or that the family of the dead person gets flowers? I am so confused, your flower-gifting culture must be so different to mine, yet you speak like your flower-gifting culture is very common... Should I not have gotten flowers when I moved? Should I have been bringing flowers to funerals? What is up? What is down?

@@Kholdaimon It's more a symbolic thing of the bouquets at the funeral being his first flowers. It's not very common to have flowers as a house warming gift. Honestly, this is the first time I have heard it from anyone. Pastry is usually something given traditionally.

@@Shikaschima Where do you live? Because in the Netherlands you often give a plant or flowers as a house-warming gift and from what I have seen from American or British media it is the same there and I know it is the same in Germany, Norway and Sweden.
