I saw the real thing twice in 1984, was then, and still am, a passionate Smiths fan...and this is a very, VERY good recording...as a live performance it is SUPERB!
Greetings from Manchester , from someone who will adore The Smiths forever and saw them 3 times . Fabulous job all of you and especially your man on the bass 👏👏👏😎😎😎😎
I love the Smiths. I played in an indie covers band and I can honestly say that this is the hardest song we ever learned. We spent about 2 months getting it giggable, played it once (and played it well), then decided to quit while we were winning. Nice work - hope you're still playing.
I just found out about this song 2 days ago at my friends funeral, it’s been on repeat since and I just found this cover and you guys fucking killed it man! Thank you ❤
Funny how the algorithm works...I stayed in Frederick, MD this past Saturday night and how this pops up! Nice job, by the way. A tough, tough song to play!
I thought the bass player was wearing those "fireman pants" w/ the reflective striping. Then I realized it was a reflection on the chair in front of him. 🚒☺
The girl should have played bass on this song, and given the singer the rhythm guitar, so he could concentrate on singing. That's what most small bands do with songs like this. You need to be versatile
