12:34 Ped slowly walking towards the red eclamation sign with a clear windmill on it and then slowly allowing himself to be blended before asking "That's a windmill?"
I was so distracted by the red square with the exclamation point that I straight up did not even notice the windmill either until it was pointed out. I kept thinking, "Why are they so distracted by the bush?! It's clearly that evil red box!!!"
@@Rain0T tbh I don't think he really says it that much anymore, he used to a lot but I feel since it's started getting memed so much he was like okay maybe this is a bit much, but I don't watch the livestreams so idk what those are like
@@MGSLurmey it's a joke. Like the medieval Black Plague. Blame immoral dress and punishment from God rather than the goddamn plague or the goddamn rats. Blame the bush, not the windmill you run through to get to it.
Listening to complain about stupid map design when the problem in every single situation was them somehow still being noobs a decade into playing the game was also pretty painful.
it had to be that Duncan, the stupidest Yog, said something first, and was wrong ofc, and the others assumed that it was true and became blind to the windmill because someone else said it was something else first
I like how almost every vehicle at the end of the death run had weapons, and these _fine_ gentlemen (who have played the game for like a decade now) complained about them being just normal cars for like a solid thirty seconds
Map: There's a red exclamation mark along a white object that goes through periodically pretty fast The Yogs: Slow walking over it, this bush just keeps killing us
I didnt get the joke at the end, until ped added to it, at first i just thought he was telling kids to be nice to their siblings.....but nooooo, it was filth!
Yogs being unable to : 1 - Spot a turbine that is clearly spinning multiple times in front of them and them....blaming a bush???????????? 2 - Drive the cars that have weapons 3 - Properly get into cars 4 - Use the flare gun to do a roll Outome : "yeah the map sucks"
@@jacobnorris8256 and to add, its the game's fault that the player characters constantly get locked into huge long movement animations that get them killed. But it is also the map maker's fault for not working around that poor game design
The Yogscast guarantee! Entire crew gets slapped by a clearly visible windmill, and they all slow down so they most certainly get hit... "guys wtf is this bush?"
Is it me or are they completely blind to that windmill that is obviously spinning around and killing them? They act like they can't see it, am I hallucinating?
What is wrong with them that they can't see the windmill? Like was it different on their screens vs the recording or something? Multiple people aim and look at the very obvious windmill arm and then are surprised when they're knocked off
To be slightly serious, they'll be fixating on the path since they're actively moving the character, so it's one of those "gamers don't look up" type situations.
The fact that on that runner map Ben was the only one to look at his screen and see the windmill and the big red exclamation mark warning about the windmill was peak Yogscast.
9:52 I love how Ben explains it by saying they got in the wrong side of the car since they’re used to it being on the right when it was in fact the correct side 10:22
I mean honestly Ravs is right, that is one of the best runner maps they’ve ever played, I guess they just forget how shit all the others they’ve done are. - No bullshit obstacles, the one big one is clearly marked on the ground with a red exclamation point - Drivers have decent vehicles to propel them but their vision is obstructed so it’s harder for them to aim - Runners who win have access to vehicles with rockets, but they’re more challenging to operate so it isn’t just. An instant win if the runners get through All in all, pretty actually balanced, I don’t understand the hate but oh well :)
@@TheMinecraftHype Between the minimap and using first person like Ben suggested, I'm betting they could have been a little less blind in the cars. For the runners, they have the ability to crouch and do that little forward roll that Zylush does around 13:50, but none of them use that stuff on purpose. They can barely figure out how to not immediately walk off of every platform they're put on, so I get that it's maybe too much to ask lol.
@@dannygrrl292 Fair enough on the cars, though it's still blind until the last split second. (And just constantly spiralling seems a little braindead) But for the runners, I feel even with rolls it's rather spammy, no? Just blindly hoping you pass under a car. I feel these modes work best when you can see and react to what's incoming. Seems a lot of this is just unreasonably fast paced. Minimal skill.
I think the main reason why they hated that last map was because for the first few rounds nobody was noticing the spinning blades flying past their faces! If they played again and paid attention to the blades, timing their crossing, they probably would've enjoyed it! Though I was kinda curious what would happen if one of the cars came through and got caught between the blades and the platform.
I mean, as someone who saw those things, the map wasn't well made. The windmill only gets people that aren't paying attention/don't know it's there, the cars are extremely difficult to hit people with to the point where you're better off not trying, and outside of the windmill, there's no challenge for the runners. At that point, it's just a coin flip simulator where four people win by being on the runners team.
I think the best part about the death bush was when Zylus was like "You can get past it but you have to go slow, which just gives the cars an opportunity" when that's literally the opposite of what you need to do. Also I like Bens theory on having to get in on the driver side to not fall off, except they were getting in on the drivers side because they were driving American cars and not whimsical Bri'ish chitty-chitty-bang-bang cars.
@@Leptons_ Because it's GTA, and the only thing more broken than the game is the kids who think that everyone should know the exact same as them, even though they literally don't do anything else.
To be fair to Rythians new technique, even in the most serious simracing games the best way to win in a random online game is to stay back in the first lap, watch everybody take eachother out, gently pass them and then race on 70% for the rest of the race.
Got to love the logic behind Ravs' giving a map a thumbs up or down at the end of a match haha I remember the one from a few weeks ago where he was all "That's a thumbs down from meee!" just because he finished 2nd haha
Was there something wrong with their screens that like, what they saw wasn't what we saw? I was watching it and saw like "Okay there's a windmill up ahead that's pretty obvious it's flashed by 6 times now." But then three of them just walked right into it like "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT???? AN INVISIBLE NOTHING EXPLODED ME???" and I know that like, while playing the game you have more things to pay attention to so it might not be as obvious, but it was really obvious. Even if they couldn't immediately identify it as a windmill they could see the white flashing line zooming across right in front of them and then hitting them.
Some people are normal, they live live normal lives and pick normal bikes. Some people are Chads. Chads pick the Chad bike! Good on you, Zylus and Duncan.
How did they not notice the turbine blades?... One of them seemed to eventually realize what it was, but then they all went right back to thinking it was the bush... "You can make it past, but you need to go slowly which let's the cars get you." No, you're getting hit by the "cars" because the cars are turbine blades that you're casually walking into.
How on earth have they all been playing the game for this many years and still have zero idea what any of the special vehicles do??? Every time they get in one they instantly go this useless what am I meant to do
Because whenever rockstar adds a new vehicle they completely forget what buttons they used for the last vehicle, and instead invent a different control scheme.
I have been watching yogscast for a while and the reason I keep watching is for moments like 11:30 "He's balancing the teams that's good of him, I'll do the same" I was mid drink for the first part and when he said ill do the same I spat up my mikes like an idiot
