for him it was somewhere close to 1 in 1000, the only way you can skip it is with the crafting bench by paying 1500 fusings upfront for guaranteed 6 link
I randomly 6linked my lightning coil this league in less then 40 fusings - was about to buy 1500 to just link it but had a few left so tried it.... 20 quality aswell xD
Pathfinder is very good at mitigating elemental damage because of permanent flasks. If you can convert most of physcial damage taken into elemental you then can become extremely hard to kill. Lightning coil is essential to this as it gives 50% of phys from hits taken as lightning.
Not gonna lie as a PoE noob this tells me to not play the game. How is that good game design where a streamer playing for hours each day spending almost a thousand fusing orbs to get a 6link unique?
Hes play solo self found, he cannot trade with other players, so anything he finds that would be valuable to other people, is completely lost on him. For those items you could buy fusings, or simply buy a 6l.
it's much more easier if you don't choose "solo self found" as in it's name, solo self found means you'll only be able to use the items you find, you craft. However in the normal game there is trading and 6 link items can go as cheap as 5 chaos
The harder you work for something, the sweeter it is when you obtain or achieve it. Sure, you can argue that time invested and skill needed are somewhat diminished factors in the loot and oneshot RNG bonanza that PoE sometimes is. But still, SSF and HC are gratifying modes long term as opposed to instantly. And they are entirely optional. So it is very much good game design in that regard. You can play softcore trade and get your 6link in a day or two.
