@@TravelWithSoph Lijiang is my favorite but I highly recommend visiting the other two ancient towns in the Yunnan Province: "Dali Ancient Town" and "Shangri-La." The lake in Dali is also very nice. It's not a tourist attraction but a fabulous community to live for those wanting to dwell in the countryside away from the big cities. Enjoy your time in China.

You are the most poetic foreign youtuber I have ever seen about Lijiang, Lijiang is one of my favorite vacation spots, I have been there countless times, every time I am in a bad mood, I fly there, and even several of my friends have stayed in Lijiang to become hotel owners. Recommend a few music bars, 云集、江湖, there are good bands performing.

Li 麗（beautiful) Jiang 江（River, stream) = Beautiful River. I was there a few years ago in addition to visiting Dali, Shangri-La, and Kunming. Definitely recommend. So beautiful. The Chinese historical drama 木府風雲（Turbulence of the Mu Clan) was filmed there.

It’s mean Young Chinese prefer to 'lie flat' or 'couch potato' in some where rn. Since trying hard can't get what you want, you’d better choose to skate by and become a couch potato.
