I'm American, so I've never set foot in a Sainsbury's. Still, every year, I search for their new Christmas ad. Most have been very nice, and I have enjoyed them, but the 2014 and 2015 ads were, in my opinion, the best.
My Local is being shoplifted multiple times a day. I wrote to sainsbury's about security and got zero response. Do you think they will be absorbing the costs into their profit margin or raising prices to compensate? There are also safety issues to the staff and customers. No police and no security staff. Profits first. welcome to Britain. Thanks Sainsbury's, for your social conscience.
I'm not saying it's bad, but I miss the heart and time they used to put into their christmas ads. Was somewhat of a tradition to check the Sainsbury christmas ad every year, but now it just fits into the mold with every other ad.
Whats happened to the times where we had the Sainsburys adverts with Mog and the one for playing football during the war? And the John lewis adverts with the animals on the trampoline, and the penguin? Seems nobody puts any effort into Christmas adverts anymore. This looks like it was recorded in a couple of hours 😔
Thanks, Helen! Now more so than ever, people are looking for moments of humour and joy and that’s why we’ve once again set out to create a fun, light-hearted advert for customers to enjoy. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, when it comes. Charlotte
Hi Daniel. We're glad you enjoyed it! We wanted to create a fun, light-hearted advert that would entertain people and make them smile. Rick Astley is a pop icon who we know many of our customers love! Emma
The first and interior shots were filmed in Bell Green, Lower Sydenham back on September 8th. I passed by and saw the Panavision production trailers. I thought they were filming a movie. Quite a sight to take in. Islam is the one truth.
Hello. My name is Alex Nice. I would love to congratulate on your marvellous Christmas advert this year. It's such a feel good advert and really captures the great spirit of Christmas. All the actors who appeared in the advert are brilliant, including the little girl who is so adorable. I also love the cameo of Rick Astley, as he is a legend and is the cherry on top of the cake in this advert. You do really good Christmas adverts, but this is one of your best by far. The humour is also brilliant, especially the joke when Rick Astley came on. I like to thank the cast and the production crew for making such a great advert this year as it is one of the best adverts this year! 😀
@@sainsburys Douglas Usually turkey, roasted carrots and parsnip soup, and always a yule log with the family An early happy Christmas The new ad really is charming, always I shop when in UK at Sainsbury's
Hey Susan says she has a question about Santa and then asks what does he have for his Christmas dinner. I hope this helps. Enjoy the rest of your day and take care, Jennifer
Hi Keri. We're so glad you enjoyed it! We wanted to create a fun, light-hearted advert that would entertain people and make them smile. Rick Astley is a pop icon who we know many of our customers love. Emma
What does The Big Fella have for Christmas dinner? Nothing. Here's why. After delivering presents all over the world the poor guy's absolutely wrecked on Christmas Day. All he gets is a mug of Horlicks and an early night.
Thank God you didn't follow in M & S's footsteps who aired a despicable advert with demonic, violent undertones designed to destroy everything about a traditional British Christmas while pandering to wokeness. Well done, Sainsbury's.
I would also like to ask one question: why won't Sainsburys deliver to me? I'm a pensioner in poor health and living in a first floor flat. Back in Jan/Feb I couldn't log in to my account to place my next order so I contacted customer services. They said that my account was cancelled for assaulting a delivery driver but could not tell me when or how. I phoned customer services several more times and they always promised to pass a message to Sainsburys head office but nobody ever contacted me. I phoned the store manager twice and he promised to look into it and call me back both times but never did. I phoned the on-line manager and she promised to look into it and call me back but never did. I tried again last week, hoping that my penance for the fictional incident might be over but it's not. I tried customer services AGAIN and they said they had sent an email to head office who would reply by email within 72 hours - it's been a week now and ......... NOTHING.
What all you people who get Christmas off for 2 weeks is, is that sainsburys staff only get 1 yes one day off at Xmas!!! Again the staff work while the bosses enjoy time off!! As for the advert WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH AGAIN!! And the funniest bit about this advert "Shelfs were full" Seriously???
Im a little bit disappointed what happened to the stories they used to tell or the songs they used to play. The last few years sainsburys have fell off
