Ok, confession time. The wife and I made these this morning, followed this video exactly. Folks, these taste so good. They are cinnamon buns on a different level. It might be the cardiac level down at the trauma center, but oh yeah! I cannot deny that they are the best cinnybunz I've ever had.
To take this up yet another level, try this: add the icing that came in the cinnamon roll package to 1/2 a block of room temperature cream cheese (don't use the whipped cream cheese that comes in a tub), and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract if you wish. Whip this mixture together until smooth. Add a tablespoon or two of whipping cream, if the mixture is too thick. Load the icing into a sandwich sized plastic baggie. Cut off a very small portion of one of the baggie corners, then squeeze the icing out onto your cinnamon rolls - and serve. (I like to get the cinnamon rolls out of the pan onto the serving plate, then ice them. This lets the icing drip down the sides, looks pretty, and ensures that you get icing in every bite. Enjoy!
@cassandraakins2235 hi Cassandra, you just bake the cinnamon buns with no icing until they're lightly golden. (The time depends on the recipe you're using calls for.) Get your icing ready while they're baking so that it's not cold. (It should be room temperature to make it creamy. I take my cream cheese out of the fridge as soon as soon as I know I'm baking with it.) Let the buns cool for 10-15 minutes once they are finished baking - and then drizzle the icing. You don't want to put the icing on while they buns are hot, or it will just run down the sides into puddles. Hope that helps!
I don't know what is different, but I bought two cans of these today. The exact same thing you used, but mine don't completely fill my casserole dish like yours do. I even switched to another casserole dish because I thought maybe mine was larger than yours, but still I could arrange both cans of rolls to where there a huge gap between each row of rolls. I have them in the oven right now, so we'll see if it works out. I even went and checked out another video for this exact same recipe, and his filled his casserole dish just like yours did, but for some reason mine don't. I will say, even though I purchased EXACTLY what you used, the Great Value cinnamon rolls in the red can, mine look a tad smaller in thickness than yours do, but again, I guess we'll see when they come out of the oven. UPDATE: Okay, so they actually all puffed up and filled in the entire casserole dish. They came out of the oven looking amazing. After allowing them to cool until they were just warm, I drizzled the icing all over them, and they look even more amazing. However, the best part is the taste. It's been a few years since I had a Cinnabon, but when it comes to food, my memory is pretty darn good, and I will say these taste almost exactly like a big warm moist delicious Cinnabon. In fact, I don't think anyone would tell the difference unless you tasted the two side by side. These are absolutely AMAZING, and the best part is I made an entire casserole dish full of them for less money than it costs to purchase just one Cinnabon. Well done, young lady! Well done! Now I'm looking forward to relatives coming to visit us just so I can make these for them for breakfast.
Great result. How much does 1 cinnabon cost vs the cans of rolls just out of interest please? I live in New Zealand and can’t buy either here but the last time we were in Sydney in 2016, one cinnabon cost $5 Aust.
@@annayoung3098I'm in Canada and that is about the right price for a single cinnabon roll if not a bit more actually and to buy one of those cinnamon rolls canisters from the store is about $3 to $4 roughly and you get 6 or 8 rolls.
Thanks for this hack! I was invited today to a dinner and I couldn’t think of what to bring. I had all these ingredients and decided to make this really quick. Boy! It was a hit! I’m not into cinnamon rolls myself but I have to admit it was delicious!! This is a keeper! ❤
i was told that in USA they use a lot of sugar and fats in the food…and yeah he was truthful beside there was no need for all that amount of brown sugar as it might kill your family with heart attack or sugar fainting which is also deadly
As an American, I am disgusted at this persons "recipes." Not all of our cooking is like that, but unfortunately, many people like this youtube channel are more prominent in the cuisine here and I absolutely hate it.
To keep them soft & fresh, immediately take them out of the dish that you baked in, and put them in something else with a lid on it. Like a Tupperware bowl or something plastic that has a top to it. If you don't put 'em away like that, they'll start getting hard literally like the same day. I don't know if it's because they come outta the can or what, but I noticed that they don't stay soft unless you seal 'em up right away. You can also put them in a zip lock bag if you're okay with some of the icing coming off.
@Larson Family 🤭🤭. That's a good solution as well. But the one mistake people make is reheating them too long. Especially in the microwave. 5-10 seconds at the MOST, and that's it. To some, this may seem like a short amount of time to get them warm, but it's really not.
I am from the South and I've never called a cinnamon roll a biscuit. I have also never tried so hard to make an accent come out of my mouth, because the one that comes out naturally is about as Southern as you can get. someone is trying way too hard....
I agree. I like her recipes but being from the south myself, it’s hard for me to watch her videos knowing how hard she’s trying to sound like a southerner!
This is the second video I seen of her and I recognize who she is the other video she continued to always keep saying y'all y'all y'all. So don't worry you haters I won't be watching her because you'll tell me I don't have to watch it and I won't. I also lived in Texas for 28 years and she is forcing her accent and she thinks she's slick and cute but she's not, she's just a wannabe with her 15 minutes of so-called Fame on the internet making something that's already been made and she throws in a couple of ingredients and think she's a chef 😂😂😂😂😂😂lol what a joke.
I was just watching this and was thinking the same thing. And I'm from Arkansas. Can't get much southern than that. Biscuit is a biscuit, cinnamon roll is a cinnamon roll. And most southern people don't have that much of an accent. Sure some do but I think she's laying it on a little strong. 😂😂😂😂
@coyfisher5772 Well HOWDY neighbor!! Lifelong Oklahoma girl here 🤠🤠🤗🫡 My dad lives in Siloam Springs Arkansas. It's actually the most beautiful state I've ever been to, and I've seen a lot of them. I also have a close family friend who lives in Malvern and I have spent a lot of time in the Hot Springs area and have been to Eureka Springs several times. (The Thornecrown Chapel there is the most serene and peaceful place I've ever been) Someone had mentioned here that she is from Canada! 🤦🏼♂️ In any case...if you are truly Southern (like us) there's no 'trying' to have an accent. Frankly, I spend more time trying to NOT sound Southern all the time. But anyone can watch a newscast coverage after a tornado and those people fresh after a traumatic experience are the true Southern voices. They're concerned with WAY more than their accent in that moment and give a full and true look at a real Southern accent. It's when I have watched these in the past that I've said to myself that our accent is truly a unique thing. I sure DO NOT appreciate someone trying to sound like the cartoon stereotype of our accent!!
I grew up on what we called Cream Rolls. Course that was stariing in the 60s. The rolls were made just like any other rolls were, but before you baked them you mixed up whole milk or usually cream, and sweetened it slightly added some vanilla, and poured it over them, and they were baked and they were luscious and made their own sauce. But so many people now think of the cinnamon rolls today. like Cinnabon picke em up and go. The reason these fell out of favor is then most women were housewives and they had the time to make homemade dough, now women are usually busier than a one legged man at a butt kickin contest trying to work, be a mother, a laundress, and a cook plus their therapist, their doctor and then at night well, there ya go. Glad to see ya bringin em back with a shortcut!!
1Corinthians15:1-4=Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES; AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES. Ephesian 1:13=In whom ye also TRUSTED, after that ye heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your SALVATION: in whom also after that ye BELIEVED, ye were SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise. Ephesian 2:8-9=For by GRACE are ye SAVED through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of WORKS, lest any man should boast. Romans 3:23-26=For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being JUSTIFIED FREELY by his GRACE through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH in his BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which BELIEVETH in Jesus. Without blood there is no life and without Jesus BLOOD no eternal life. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lbb4xwYj19g.html Look up Robert Breaker and Revelation Station on youtube.
My mom taught me (her mom taught her) that adding a little salt brought out a fuller flavor especially when she made her famous PB candy. These cinnamon rolls made my mouth water.
I love this hack. I make my own brown sugar mixture too but save a little for after they cook for the top. Ohhhh and try making cream cheese frosting with just CC, powdered sugar and a touch of milk then mix the icing packets with the frosting. Sooo good with homemade taste.
@@caillew7618 just did it with lemon extract and omg lol so good... technically I added a little too much but it still was amazing. I had leftover frosting from a cake and used it for the rolls. Great suggestion!
That looks really good! I know you have removed all the calories for us over weight fat people! There is never enough icing in those packets so I would need to make my son-in-law's icing recipe to have plenty. And I love pecans so I'd have to sprinkle a good amount of pecans (whole, halves or pieces) before inserting in the oven. I'm putting on weight thinking about it!!
I’m from the south and I could care less if she called them biscuits or not! Been wanting to make these for over a year! I like that she used the regular sized cinnamon rolls instead of the grands. Saved to my forever recipe! Thank you sweetie I love your videos, presentations and happy voice! Thank you!
"I use butter, not that spray stuff, and I got the cheap cinnamon rolls." I love how Southerners cook - no pseudo-healthy, pretentious, overpriced organic stuff, just down home common sense and great food. Can't wait to try this recipe.
Organic foods don’t have all the highly processed stuff that poorly effect your health. How you gonna make fun of people that are actually just tryna eat food instead of “food product” lol
Pseudo healthy, ? why would anyone feed this to their family. Look at the ingredient list, and see how many of those ingredients you have in your kitchen.
these look great, for sure. try this little variation sometime. butter up your 9x13 glass baking dish. now take 4oz melted lightly salted butter, add one cup of tightly packed dark brown sugar, 4 tablespoons of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of real vanilla extract... stir it till it's a smooth consistency and pour that evenly in the pan. sprinkle a 12oz package of fresh raspberries over your yummy sauce, then cover with the 12 cinnamon rolls, drizzle 8oz of heavy cream, tight foil, 350 oven for 40 minutes. voila... raspberry caramel rolls. i still thank mama for making the boys learn to cook and dad for teaching the girls to change oil and fix flat tires. 😊
Ohhhhh YEAH!! Kirstin - these just got moved to my "game day" deeeelicious food line up! My stomach was growling was watching you make them!! Thank you!
This is a bit off topic but an amazing treat I make for "usually thanksgiving" is.. Croissant rolls, un roll them, separate them, then grab some cranberry sauce, spread it on 1 side, then roll up the croissant. Place it in the oven for suggested time on package. Enjoy the goodness!! Their incredible
I second that! Definitely gonna try. I also have one to try with croissant rolls. Make your groundbeef or ground turkey like you would for spaghetti.. with the spaghetti sauce and seasonings and all that, just minus the actual spaghetti and fill the each croissant with some and press them like little pockets, don't roll them back up. And voila... delicious pockets of beef!
I was leary when you showed the cheap store bought rolls, I was out when you introduced the heavy cream, then uiu brought me right back in with the melted butter and when you pulled them out of the oven, I put my shoes on to head to the grocery store to buy the ingredients. I LIKE!
The fat content...of a either a table or teaspoon of heavy whipping cream is astronomical. She all that HWC on top of cin rolls....then added sugar and butter on top. Jesus f cking christ
I love cinnamon & homemade cinnamon rolls. Found out that Cinnabon uses cassia cinnamon in theirs- it's a bit stronger and almost "spicier" than what you get when you pick up regular cinnamon from the spice shelf at the grocery & really makes a difference (as does adding the salt). My homemade recipe calls for doing all of this- pouring the cream and butter over and i always add extra cinnamon & sugar. Cutting out having to mix, rise, shape and rise dough again is great- especially when you want them for breakfast as no one wants to get up 2 hours early to wait for dough to rise twice. Im going to try this next time instead!
So y’all know… in the south we do not call cinnamon rolls biscuits… what real southerners do is realize we messed up, say sorry, correct ourselves, and carry on.
Lol. Yeah this reminds me of those "Cajun" cooks that are on RU-vid who say "baby" and "butta" like every 5 words. It just sounds really fake since no one in Louisiana talks like that.
Exactly what I said. It was cringy. I wanted to see the recipe, but her accent is horribly fake. I’m from the South and have friends from all over the South. I’ve never heard anyone with her dialect. That’s because it’s made up. It’s insulting. No one in the south calls cinnamon rolls biscuits.
Not knocking the recipe hack but, by the time you add the heavy cream, sugar and stick of butter you could have gotten them at the bakery for less. They do look delicious and I'm gonna try it.
For those of us old farts, we have been eating “chemicals” most of all our lives it won’t bother many of us. It is fast and easy and looks delicious. You young ones can make yours homemade! I like easy and good.
With enough butter, brown sugar & and heaven cream on anything you’ll be able to eat even dog poop. I love how the cream just gets absorbed and is just gone. I will try it it looks fun to do with my grand daughter. She has said with enough syrup you can eat anything. Can’t wait to try them out I have the 2 cans of rolls ordered.
I used to make cinnamon rolls on the weekend for my kids, I'd cook a whole breakfast for them scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon toast or biscuits and OJ or other drinks. They are no longer kids so I don't get to do that anymore so I'm all on my own, but maybe I'll start doing it for myself again one day.
Yeah, you can certainly do it just for yourself, but you could also invite a few friends to join you for a weekend breakfast or brunch. I bet your friends would love to have an occasional weekend breakfast or brunch like that!!
Yep. When our kids were little, Sunday mornings Dad here did breakfast for everyone. Panckes, or waffles, or omelettes with home fires, and biscuits and gravy. It was our Sunday tradition.
@@grumpyolddude439 My husband always made breakfast on Saturday mornings when the children were little. It was a wonderful tradition. A lot of older people miss being young, I miss my children being young. I loved being a Mom. Being granny is nice but it's just not the same.
Try taking Pillsbury Crescent Dough or pie crust dough and fill them with your favorite lunch meat, some vegetables, Garlic and Herb goat cheese or whatever cheese you like. Bake at 350° until golden brown. Let cool completely and ENJOY! If there's any leftover, store them in a Tupperware container sealed tightly. Warm in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes and ENJOY! Good luck.
Hi Kristin, New subscribed I'm from Glendora California and it's lunch time over here. I saw this and now I'm hungry🌺 I like how it looks easy, I'm not a cook or baker. Lots of fast food and I'm trying to eat better/ heathier trying to lose weight with portion control. Looking forward to your wonderful channel🌺🌺💜💜🌺🌺
I made these exactly how you showed us. It tastes fantastic. I had them around lunch and couldn’t even eat dinner anymore that day 😂 just eating two of these will fill you up 😮
I'd mix the sugar and butter a bit longer to avoid that runny first drip, and the last thick drip; I'm a stickler for consistency; they look delicious.
The canned ones never have enough icing in those little packets. Might as well whip up a little extra since we’re going way overboard on the calories anyway. Just powdered sugar and a little milk.
In a round cake pan that has been greased and floured, put Pillsbury Grand Biscuits, cut horizontally, put a sausage patty or links, bacon, (Precooked), a fried or scrambled eggs, and cheese. Top with the other half of the biscuit and seal the sides well. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and ENJOY! Absolutely delicious!! 😊😺
I used your recipe, and girl I swear my cinnamon rolls grew legs and walked away!!!😂 They were gone so fast I had to get a piece from my Son's plate just to really taste them! They are delicious!!! I'm making them again for our Mother's Day picnic.❤
I shal have to try this out, but with cream cheese frosting at the end. I love making cinnamon buns, but right now I don't have the counter space to roll them out. So this would be perfect for that. The one aspect of this that is new to me is adding the cream to the baking dish before baking.
"Little bit more cinnamon never hurt no body" *Flashbacks to when everyone was trying that cinnamon challenge* Jokes aside, looks good! I might give it a shot for my next family gathering!
I did mine a little different due to I don't like overly sweet but I did put cinnamon over the rolls then poured the heavy cream over the top. My teen age kids were begging me for more. They loved their breakfast before school this morning so thank you very much for posting this.
Dear Kristen?? It looks great.... but what's up with your plate?? You shouod have some nice fancy or simple plates that look good on camera... I haven't seen your videos for awhile and really enjoy your no nonsense approach!! Thanks!! ❤
Who are you? Thank you for your method. I had an idea of the popular tik ok hack but I appreciated your little extra of butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Very much, thank you. P.S. I like that you use butter. So do i!
Thank you soooo much. There are no red states or blue states between people who love to eat well and love creating foods for friends & family & ourself. Hope you get to visit San Francisco and try our foods and many family restaurants everyone feels welcome at. Blessings.
I reckon they would be even better if you take the foil off for the last 5-15 minutes of baking. The sugar will caramalise and you'll be left with an ultra crispy top.
She’s right about the salt 🧂. Just add a little dash of salt to your homemade ice cream mix, cake batter, etc. You don’t taste the salt, but it just makes the dessert taste more like whatever flavor it is, like vanilla tastes more vanilla like, strawberry tastes more strawberry like, etc. It’s what pastry chefs do.
Yes! Salt somehow enhances the sweetness. If you ever get a watermelon that's kinda blah...like it just isn't sweet enough, sprinkle some salt on it. It'll liven it up and make it sweet!
It's so easy to make real cinnamon rolls that these fake chemical filled grocery store garbage quick fixes are a sure way to get cancer and other serious health issues. Poor doesn't have to mean crap. Broke the internet, lmao.
I have been making from scratch yeast cinnamon rolls for 60years and these are just as delicious and so easy. As I have aged quick and easy is becoming a necessity and these will be my cinnamon rolls hereafter. Thanks so much for sharing this hack.
I cover the bottom of a buttered glass dish with pancake syrup and sprinkle pecan pieces on it. Then, I place in my cinnamon rolls. Bake as normal, then flip pan onto serving platter. So gooey and easy!
if you further added some cream to the mix, Not near as much as she. A little after you place the buscuits, It just may make its own caramel. considering the ingredients and temperatures are there
Well Bless your heart. She didn't say All southerners say cinnamon rolls are biscuits, just that she did. My Grandmother called okra "okree" and batteries "bat-rees". Everyone everywhere use quiloquialisms for all sorts of things. Big deal. Besides, technically they are biscuits just with cinnamon added. Heck, I've used canned biscuits to Make cinnamon rolls! 😋
No, a biscuit is revered in the South. Cinnamon rolls are called cinnamon rolls. She gets me with the fake aw-riiite. Nothing like a nonsouthener trying to talk southern. 😅😂
I added a little vanilla flavoring to the brown sugar mixture and used homemade cream cheese Icing ( I do a lot of baking, so I usually have leftover Icing in my fridge) Delicious!!!! Thanks for the great recipe.
@4tun8nanette, @alilynameddaisy3692 - Google "King Arthur Flour Baking." There are recipes for cream cheese frosting on their website. Use *Butter* in cream cheese frosting for the best taste. Do *NOT* substitute margarine, nor neufchatel cheese. Also, remember that softening cream cheese takes longer than you'd think, although cubing it does speed up the process.
-2 cans cheap cinnamon rolls/ can -Heavy whipping cream -Stick butter/ melted -3/4 Brown sugar -1 tsp Cinnamon -I tsp salt -Mix and drizzle mixture on top of rolls -Cover with foil -350 F 30 mins -Drizzle icing packets on top to finah up
I make homemade cinnamon rolls and caramel pecan cinnamon rolls. The pecan variation you take 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 T water, 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Mix it up. Pour bottom pan, place rolls on top. When it’s done you carefully flip the rolls over onto a plate or platter.
As god as my witness, I am a southern woman and I have never heard any other southerner call a cinnamon roll a biscuit lololol I feel like this whole thing is made up, including her accent. It’s over exaggerated big time.
This would be a great Christmas morning treat for your family if they staying at your house! I love your recipes they're easy & sooooo good! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Differently not a very day, week, or monthly treat. I would make these for a special yearly treat for sure. I'm not allowed to eat all that heavy cream or butter. I would have a bite or two to taste. Family would enjoy the rest❤😂
I hope who ever reads this makes piece with Father God .His Son The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins , And you need to repent, That means to Change your mind. And live for him and NOT your self ,You We need to die to our own selfish desires ,And choose to live holy for him . If You Do Sin Though He will for give if you ask him to for give you and he will .But remember God hates sin But If you trust just in Him , And Not our own good works. Then you will go to Heaven if you endure to the end of your life, Then you will escape Hell and Satan .I hope to see you in Heaven. God bless every one
