Way better than the original series. I gotta admit, I pulled a funny face when they started talking about the projector (Flash backs and all that) but it didn't turn out bad at all. And they genuinely sort the car out too so massive improvement on the old series. Loving it so far.

Totally agree, it's a shame to cut it down to just 15 minutes when they have spent weeks working on the car. At least bump it up to 30 minutes as an absolute minimum.

Hey all. This beetle turned out fantastic. I got my wife on the US version of the show with Xzibit back in the day. 1973 VW Thing (Type 181) We kept her car and I'm working on a where are they now follow up series on the cars and contestants from all the versions worldwide. Come check it out.

I get the concept of the show but some of the "upgrades" are questionable. Like where does the luggage go now that trunk is occupied by air tank and projector? Gadgets are cool and all but function is also important.
