This clog was in my plumbing pipes!!!! 

I had build up like this in my shower drain. I started to prod it and it would break up. Kinda like joint compound. So I used that gel drano stuff (half the container since I wanted to tackle this stuff with a couple of applications) poured hot water after 10 minutes, and the stuff broke down pretty good. My wife took a shower in the morning and told me that the drain was clogged. I broke out the endoscope and saw there was a blockage form the stuff that had dissolved. So I decided to take off the strainer, got my pressure washer, and in less than 3 minutes the blockage was pushed out. The pressure washer made short work of the remaining build up that was down further in the pipe. No more calcium build up from the video I took the last time, but I reckon that I need to pour some drano or lye from time to time to keep up with the drain.

How to prevent and how to get rid of this stuff? Can you answer?

What a ridiculous video. WHAT IS THE CLOG FROM and HOW DID YOU REMOVE IT? GOOD GRIEF- why did you even bother to make this video since it explains NOTHING?!

I think this is soap, from dishwasher or washing machine that come out hot but when it cools down starts to get harder and clogs any pipe

This happened to me today and it's happened several times. The way I loosened it is with the pressure cleaner attachment and hose that burrows through when you pass it through the pipes. The issue is not only getting the stuff out, but I have to find out how to prevent it from happening and what the cause is. It goes into my septic and I have to fish it out with clamps from the main drain pipe outlet that falls into the septic, if not it builds up and clogs that.

There's a company called Simix that produces a cleaner for restaurants, and it really cleans out the pipes if you use it regularly.

How did you get it out or dissolve it?

I'm going to try the Kinetic Water Ram to open up my clogged bathtub this week.

how to remove the clog from pipe? I have a clogged drain by the soap scum. but not sure how to clean it.

I've got this today, in the gulley outside my kitchen. I don't know if it's a coincidence but today I used Finish Dishwasher Deep Clean in my dishwasher and then I discovered that the outside drain into which the dishwasher discharges was filled with this stuff. It's like polystyrene but crumbles easily. I'm wondering if there was a chemical reaction between the Deep Clean chemicals and the contents of the gulley. It won't disappear with boiling water and I couldn't 'stir' it away or otherwise get rid of it. I dropped in four Finish dishwasher tabs to see if the grease dissolving function of those might do any good but they didn't. The water is draining away very slowly, half an inch drop in level in two hours. I don't have any kit to fix it with so I called the landlord and a man is coming round tomorrow to look at it.

How you removed it would be helpful.

I just had the same thing in my pipes! I think it's cascade packs from dishwasher. How can we stop that?
