I appreciate Lopo, you know. I think he's a cool guy. He sees the potential of the club. Look after him. It takes a lot for managers to feel ok with sharing responsibility when it comes to recruitment. We need to repay him by getting it right. Speaking 4 languages, having coached Real Madrid, and the Spanish national side is not to overlooked. I also really respect the fact that Lopo acknowledges we already have some brilliant assets in the squad. Fans have underestimated how good the core of this group actually are. The main reason why West Ham had to say goodbye to Moyes was that foreign players were not excited at the idea of playing for him. We could not attract ambitious young foreign players, so his style became more and more defensive. I just wish Rice was still ours because his reputation alone helped in our recruitment
