Today we get started on a Commodore Pet 4032 from the Alameda Unified School District in California. It has seen a lot of use and poor storage so we will see how it looks and make a game plan for restoration!

Clean in ultrasonic cleaner

Remove and socket all badly corroded ICs
Order replacement Caps (Incl some tantalums)
Test for shorted rails
Replace rusty voltage regulator
CRT & VDU BOARD
Clean CRT
Clean VDU Board (No Ultrasonic for flyback)
Order caps and Horiz Transistor (Its rusty)
Spray pots with contact cleaner (NOT Deoxit D5)
KEYBOARD
Disassemble and clean
Test continuity
Order parts (Incl membrane?)
