Ok…people can blast me for this buuuut……I own 5 sets of high end monitors and NS!0s….those Mackie 828 Mkii are killer monitors! Those exact speakers are probably the best value for a set of monitors under $1000. I’ve gone back and checked my mixes that were built on those and they were spectacular for translating to different listening environment. I am not a fan of Mackie at all….but those monitors are killer.
The ones he had were not MK2, they were the 824 mk1. Just fyi. I worked for Mackie europe for 4 years back in the day, these things were super popular, great monitors. I now have the 624 for my home studio setup, they're doing the job nicely.
