When I was 18, I was competing in IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association) in the 500-1000W class. It blows my mind seeing 11,000W *BOAT* installs! Things sure have changed a lot in 30 years.

Kicker is way underrated. The interior 8s for with 150 watts slam compared to wet sounds. Love the kicker subs and amps

Kicker marine is the best bang/$ on the marine market and their HLCDs are THE BEST out there- hands down. Their coaxs and HLCDs in general avoid the nasty sibilance that you get with overpriced and underperforming JL and WetSounds crap. Not to mention they don’t have the horrible directionality like EVERY Wetsounds HLCD (including their HDs). Amps make their rated power and are very well priced. Very nice install, was fun to watch.

Kickers are bad ass

Surprised you didn’t go JL Audio since the biggest majority of mega yacht and super yachts and their tenders utilize JL Audio. Plus JL Audio has amazing sound quality. No disrespect to kicker. I’m old school audio so I’ve always been a JL, Rockford and Kicker fan.

Thoes cell phone spl db apps are extremely unreliable. Get a proper spl meter and see who's louder then.! Love this video. I'm a bass head. I have 2 sundown audio x15v3s on a taramps bass 8k with 40ah of yinlong lithium and a 240amp alternator. Iv hit a 155.2 db. The 15s are in the rear seat of a crown vic. In a 6th order. Lower chamber tuned to 27hz with 7cubic ft. Upper is 15 cubic feet tuned to 47hz. She is a windy system. It will blow your hat right out the window.

Throwen in kickers, i fucken love it!!!! I had 3 12s and 2 15s(all jbls) in my blazer with all the goodies, extra batteries, caps..was expensive af!!! But not a single system that was coming close 2 me. Never had to text someone im almost there...they literally heard the bass 5 blocks away...Jamaican way from beanie man....great bass song ...drove everyone 2 the club one night since I was only smoken n not drinken...this girl had to sit ontop of the boxes and later admitted to me that she got w=t n had a orgasm 😂 never heard of that before 😂

Awesome boats and systems. I just spent 5 grand on a complete RF system for a car. No where near yours, but will be plenty lound enough for me. Should have it done within the week.

Awesome sound systems took me a lot a lot of time and money too get my boat too where I wanted doing a 121db on 2 sundown zv6s and 10 total speakers 2 subs the zv6s could take a lot more power and get much louder if I had space for bigger enclosure’s though mainly it’s the bass they will give you them higher dbs. 5 amps . My car I’m going a 150.2 db on burp with my subs clamping 5k with 2 Resilient sounds gold v2s

You need a isobaric type sub box. 3 chambers; where the speakers face each other inside a smaller box and that box is ported. This will bring your bass to a low sound and its made for outer open space. I made one for my 87 jeep. I used to have a 85 Camaro that had 2 15's and running only 300 watts to it Bridged. Rockford Fosgate Punch 150. You could hear me 4 blocks away and my dad always new when I was home. I always said I turned it off the street before. he would say, I know when you turned it off I could here you. lol It was so loud you couldn't hear anything but the bass.

Db meter from a application on your phone does not work. You need a actual db meter. The app is BS. But kicker for the win you can tell right away the kicker set up was way cleaner

You should have put some Kicker Solo-X 12" in there. That's the biggest bass Kicker offers.

Kicker is what I used since I was 17 yrs old and I'm 44 now and still use kicker.. I ran the 6 kicker L7 and 6 kicker 1000 amps to each sub then ran 2 more kicker 1000 to all my highs mids and tweeters

Without listening to the systems in person it can be really hard to say what one sounds better and going by db means nothing if it sounds like crap. I personally think the kicker system would have sounded a lot better even if the other system might be louder. Personally in my boat I am running Dimond''s and they scream I have four 12's that alone makes the boat sound like a damn gator underwater. :P

Went to a competition long time ago and got to sit in the rockford fosgate/ kicker colab hummer that had a wall of those square 15’s that filled up the back completely and huge box for em. That thing hurt.. couldnt breathe when it hit and could feel every piece of skin flap on you..

i could tell travis didnt want to hurt your feelings lol same with your mom ... but 100% the pontoon sounded more crisp and the bass sounded way better haha.. it also sounded like your dads wasnt maxed out i feel like if they wanted to win by a mile all they woulda had to do is crank the volume on the pontoon but the quality wouldnt of been as good :'D

if you want loud, go with PRV, DS18 or DeafBounce speakers

Min 17:59 my ocd just got triggered the passenger side speaker arrow on the back of the speaker in pointing down well driver side the arrow is pointing up that is a big opps. Please fix that! That means technically the passenger speaker is upside down

Punch 45 back in the day is what I ran that a Phoenix gold on some vagas or earth quake i so many different set ups. I may look into it again but on a smaller scale

If you want loud bass don't use kicker! They don't have enough excursion among other reasons. There are far far better subs out there

we have a malibu wakesetter with 8 wetsound tower speakers, two orion subs and other speakers around the boat powered by 14,000 watts and can only turn it up to 25 before its too loud but over all a great setup and the loudest on the lake

When it comes to sound systems, louder is not always better. A good system will never hurt no matter how loud. Love the energy, though, haha

In case you guys havent worked it out, using an iphone as a db meter is very inaccurate and tops out soo thats why the reading is the same
