It makes me stress out for you guys. Then I get angry you have to go through this. So I'm going to pray that God will pull this all together for you, in a way it's timely, and your landlord is happy, and it won't cost you extra. And that your builders finish quickly and the work is done well.

Would an option be to put your stuff in storage and go back to your old town to maybe live with family for a bit just as an interim? Obs you’d have to pay for the flights and storage but you could spend time with your family in the meantime as you don’t get to see them often (and ofc they would have to be ok with it lol)
