LOVE camping. The best memories of my life are of camping with my family. My dad now has dementia and thinks we are camping everyday. Makes me happy to know those are his most treasured memories too.
I tune in for family funniest moments, too. 😂 As an old 8th grade teacher I too know the pains of body spray, confined spaces, and tasting it all day. So, I got a real laugh.
The fishy smell you’re referring to with your dogs is your dogs anal glands. This typically happens whenever they’re stressed so probably happens in car rides due to nervousness.
I learned this last week. I thought my dog just needed a bath. Groomer informed me otherwise. Thankfully they took care of expressing the glands for me. I would have no clue how to do it.
This is exactly right. That’s from her anal glands. They are located just inside the anus to the left and right. Sometimes they express them when nervous. Feed her a higher fiber diet or express them or have them expressed at a groomer. Canned pumpkin works well for this. Just add some to her meals. It firms up their stool and causes it to force the anal glands to be expressed when she poops. It’s just part of owning a dog!
Fancy camping is ok, but I really love tent camping. Took my grandchildren to Yellowstone for tent camping. A memory well preserved as the boys were surprised Grandma knew how to do it all, including building a fire.
Don't know where you on planning on visiting in NY - there are so many great campgrounds from Western NY through the Finger Lakes to the Adirondacks. We recently moved from WNY. If you are in the WNY area and doing any sourcing, there are a couple great sales - one end of July & one mid August. Happy to give you more info if that's where you'll be.
Strong sales Dave - especially the Georgia pennant - Prior to long trips you could ask your Vet to express your dog’s anal glands (usually they don’t require an exam for this) so that they’re empty and won’t “fish up” your car ride - not only am I an expert in pennants but also anal glands 😂
I have a Sing-A-Ma-Jig around here somewhere. It was my son's when he was little. Luckily now he hates the thing so I think I'll be able to resell it without much push-back 👍👍
Camping rocks, love grilling!!! Should’ve done a cooking video, or maybe next time! Cubing potatoes and put them in tinfoil with some oil or butter, maybe onions peppers and throw it on the grill! That and chicken or a steak, yummy
I have been offered the offer eBay site meet up and I would never put my business in that kind of possible trouble. I also got the message through eBay messages. Silly But True! Smart Move Dave. #justsayno 😅
I did that but on Mercari. I didn’t know that when someone bundled there that the shipping didn’t add up as it went. I don’t sell much there so it hadn’t really been a problem before. However this guy bought 6 lots of playboys and they only charged him for ten pounds of postage. When I had them boxed up they were 44 pounds so I knew I was going to get charged later for it and barely make anything. So I canceled it but said in my message to him if he could find me on eBay I could do him a deal there. He found me in five minutes and I ended up making more even after fees.
Mercari covers the difference in postage, just send it. I got nervous about the difference so I texted them and they confirmed that they cover the extra postage.
Love selling tools, especially older antique vintage tools. Camping in upstate New York, sounds fun. Lake George area?? Or in the western part of the state? Yea our little dog has that issue..
Not sure where you are camping in Upstate New York As an actual “Upstate New Yorker” - Upstate New York is north of Albany to the Canadian border. NY = NY city - Southern NY (Poughkeepsie) Central NY (Syracuse) Western NY (Buffalo) and Northern NY ( Adirondack Park) But each area is beautiful. Enjoy and welcome to NY
Oh Dave 😅 Molly extracted her analglands. That's what that smell is. Usually larger dogs do that on their own during pooping but also during stress. I use to work at a vet clinic and also as a dog groomer. I could tell ya how to empty those glands before each car ride if you'd like lol but you'll want disposable gloves, baby wipes for her butt & to even wash ya hands after 😅 it's not pleasant for either of you but the car ride would be much more enjoyable lol
@@25tinabina you can feed her canned pumpkin. It will help her do it herself. Normally every time they poop the glands are drained. But because you were in a strange place and she might have been getting strange treats from the kids or new water (which has new bacteria in it) her stools can get loose. If she’s got slightly loose stool it won’t express the glands and once she’s feeling stress or does something like jump into the car - boom, you’ve got a bad smell. We advise all our folks traveling with dogs to bring a pack of gloves, dog poop bags and baby wipes for doggy clean ups. Make her a go bag for your big trip. Also, bring her a gallon of water from your house. It will help her adapt better.
Hey Dave. This video really has me wondering about the camera you use to record. Could you show me what you are using? Maybe you already have a video highlighting it?
You know those things aren't glass, they're pottery. I guess you are using glass as a synonym for breakables. LOL! It may be time to take a day to organize your space again.
Sandhill Cranes were the birds... protected in Florida. You can't mess with them at all. Those are the epitome of bird that don't give an "F" you can almost walk up to them and they know you can mess with them. I had one walk up to me within 4'.
That's the funniest thing, here in Michigan we have them and I always saw them as so timid. But recently they've been getting closer and closer to populated areas and seem less and less concerned about humans. It used to be I would only see them way back in fields in the farmed countryside.
Google Pixel 8 pro is the best. Takes the best pictures of any phone on the market. This is my first pixel and I love it. I actually have had Samsung not really impressed.
i have written this before, but if you have a "lot" of something PUT IT IN A BAG, all together (aka your CD's). Your organizational skills are not good to begin with so a small step like this might help. Not sure you actually take advice to heart though.
I had a ebayer message me on eBay saying he could hook up with him and do live auctions to sell my Pokémon cards for way more than I have them listed on eBay for. He was trying to get me to sell them on what not through him 🤯
What kinds of phones are people buying that their used ones are worth $800? The only difference I can even tell between my new iphone 15 and my 5 year old one is that the screen is larger. What do the $1000 phones even do?
