This upcoming season could be awesome. They need to make every update exciting and fresh. They cannot have this new season overtaken by collabs in the second half. Like mentioned in the video, wild weeks could be an awesome return. Also mentioned, focusing on BR is what they need to do. Will Lego, Festival, and Rocket Racing still get updates? Absolutely. But as a BR player it is gut wrenching to find out that Epic made a huge update in Lego, or Festival and added something so minimal to BR.

Arguments should be added back instead of medallions

Medallions are just harder to get augments.

THANK YOU for addressing the main issue with this chapter when it comes to the weapons and the attachments. I despise the removal of hitscan and reintroducing older weapons like the hand cannon and tactical AR felt extremely underwhelming to use as an alternative choice of weapons for one’s inventory. Really could never enjoy these seasons to its potential and I honestly fear what is to come next season if the gameplay experience feels indifferent again.

just to throw my opinion out there: the avatar update ruined the whole season. waterbending is WAYYYY too op, firebending sucked, air bending made fights too easy to get out of, and earth bending... who seriously used this? also instead of a sandstorm they should just drop a nuke.

I feel like br is still a big focus because we still get more teasers then any other mode. We got teasers on twitter, we get mini events now, we got monster jam to do a big teaser at the monster jam finals, and many more. They even showed us they want our opinion on what seasons they want to do like scientists season, dinosaurs season, horror season, celebrity season and many more

They should do more map changes throughout the season

I personally have been playing Fortnite way less ever since Chapter 3's ending. It started to slow when Chapter 2 ended, but it really started to amp up in Chapter 4. I have many reasons for this. My first reason is because of the gameplay. Back in Chapter 2, gameplay was peak imo. Every season had something fun about it. Specifically Season 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7. Mythics were introduced and they were kind of op and the bosses were very hard to defeat. Mentioning Midas. Exotics were released too, but now we don't even see them, and if we do, they aren't the fun ones. Overall, the gameplay of Fortnite has became crappy midway through the season. Like this season I just stopped playing for 5 whole weeks because it was well, boring. My second reason is the battlepasses. The only reason that I really play Fortnite anymore is because I have fomo. Fear of missing out. I missed out on a lot of good things in Chapter 1 because I was a little kid I was into Minecraft my whole early gaming life. After Chapter 2 Season 2, I started buying every battlepass and I tried to get to level 100 everytime, and I have, except for one instance. Now, the battlepasses are trash. The collabs are horrible, they should've been shop skins, the battle pass UI and system is what's REALLY ticking me off. I hate the star system. Also, there aren't any good emotes like there were in Chapter 1, or skins. My third reason is because of Epic's new idea of the game. They're moving towards the metaverse and I do not like that. In some ways they're succeeding, but at the same time they're ruining the game's story. The story is the second main reason why I play the game. I story from Chapter 1 - 3 was PEAK. I really felt Epic gave up after Chapter 3. Now they're doing big events less like concerts and other stuff. I miss those. I miss when every week there was something new and fun. Even by bringing back old loot would be nice, loot from Chapter 1, 2 and 3. What's really bugging me is how we still have yet to see ANYTHING from Chapter 3 or 4 make an appearance. Correct me if I am wrong. Only goofy consumables and traps like shield bubble and stuff. I miss the old cartoony aspect of the game. Fortnite should be fun, not serious.

This season we got Hela, Loki and Loki, Norse Gods in a Greek season. We should have had Wonder Woman come back to the shop at least as she has ties to Greek Mythology, her father is Zeus.

Epic just needs to start hiring the community to do their job, the ones that really understand what the game needs

Here’s what I say for weapon attachments: - floorloot doesn’t spawn with attachments. - chests give pre-kitted weapons. - every poi on the map has 1 mod bench, the bigger ones would get 2. (they could still be found in special places like vaults, bunkers, and the floating island though.) - there’s a limit to how many attachments you can put onto a weapon. this is based off of rarity. - common = no attachments - uncommon = 1 - rare = 2 - epic = 3 - legendary = 4 - the bosses now drop exotics that have special abilities. they’re still weapons from the lootpool and come fully-kitted, but the attachments can be customized.

I feel like the lootpool should tie into the seasons theme more. Like if we're getting an apocalypse season with sand, then maybe the Infantry rifle and six shooters could come back for example. Instead of Cerberus using a frickin shotgun.

Honestly, I think the biggest thing they could do to improve the vibe of this chapter would be to go in and meaningfully update the UI for the lobby, locker, and shop in ways that actually improve it instead of downgrading. When most people think of it, it seems like such a non-issue, but I really think it’s been a big part of the negative reception of the game in our subconscious. Interacting with these UIs every time I log on before I hop into a game just leaves me with a soulless and irritating feeling, tainting my entire experience with the game. I genuinely think reverting the changes to the lobby and cosmetic system they’ve made this chapter, or at least giving us something better than what we’ve got right now, would go a long way towards improving how people are feeling about the state of the game.

Would it be cool if they change the storm into a sand storm for the next season? I feel it would be very fitting to the theme. But obviously, people won't like their visuals fogged up by sand. I just think it could be a cool way to change things up for the gameplay during the season. Like the wall of water back at the end of CH2 S2

Also I think the solution to new players not being able to out match any players who are good at building has already like been decided, they just have to consistently have semi balanced weapons that are capable of quickly shooting down builds, like the bendings, chains, and lightning, Fortnite doing this smart

I feel like they should change the game mode UI to have the epic made mode in the main stage and have the other modes on a different page because the old UI with the four BR modes and the LTM and creative but we could have lego, festival and rocket racing added on

bullet drop on all weapons is absolutely horrible. You can keep bullet drop on snipers but bullet drop on a ar does not seem right

WAIT THEORY! Summer Typically takes place in beaches, shorelines, tropical points, AND WHAT DID THE LEAKED ROADMAP SHOW US, THE PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN COLLAB, It all adds up!

The reason they added bullet drop was because scope / red dot weapons like the MK-seven, striker burst AR, or twin mag AR just felt extremely strong. And they wanted scope weapons (with attachments), so they balanced it out this way. Although it would just be easier to just nerf those weapons like come on

after a tiktok i watched about weapon stats with attachments on osirion, weapon attachments barely make a difference for most weapons. for example the vertical grip attachment barely drops the recoil with the warforged compare to the muzzle breaker which drops is slightly more. and with shotguns the hip fire laser sight one does nothing for shotguns compared to what we actually think they do, but for the burst smg the laser sight makes the bloom 95% more accurate which is why its so used so much for that weapon specifically. so most of the weapon attachments other than sights and magazine attachments the rest are useless

I say a good fix for making rare loot feel better is making the rarity of the gun dictate how many attachments you can have on it, like a gray gun you can’t have any attachments, and a gold gun you can have a maximum of 4

Oh man, the tables are so frustrating. Dropping classy surviving spawn, bunkers show up, and 2 are already in storm, and the only one you can get to is by eternal battlegrounds is frustrating. Either you're the first and most likely have a few teams outside waiting already. Or you get there later, and now it's just a 3rd party festival going on. Neither of which are highly enjoyable

Augments were cool for a time but it messed with emoting if one was ready to be picked. They're not bringing them back.

I feel like one thing this chapter is missing that is love to see is exotics! I feel like we’ve kinda forgot that those kind of weapons existed and they made for such a fun twist on your typical Fortnite weapon.

These season is gonna be built different,this new leaked shark boat will be playable,this new location nitro drome looks like a typical street fight battleground,the sand looks cool too,it gives the map a more serious look,these new monster trucks will be playable too,so it will feel even more wild and apocalyptic WHICH IS PERFECT because is the season theme,it’s how the season HAS to feel like,and in this new teaser of the trailer there was the splashes that healed you more and that gave you a speed boost,which could make the gameplay even more dynamic and intense,we will get all of these bunch of new cool things and there is still left the Metallica collab,The marvel collab,the new weapons,the fallout part…and more,I would put all in the line to assure this season is gonna be fire

Seeing how many seasons i missed cuz i was working on other stuff in life education etc really makes me sad that i can never experience the alien invasion or get skins like goku rick and morty all the marvel and old star wars skins pretty bummed out by that😅 i hope they change this allowing new players to get old battle passes

The season was very good at the beginning but with the water bending and air bending they ruined the entire theme of the season . Plus kids with aimbot killed entire lobbies using water bending and it's super annoying. It doesn't feel like Fortnite. The marvel season was unique because only one had the iron man mythic for example and not 50 players at the same time. Maybe they should try something similar to this chapter , to have 4 or 5 bosses with different unique mythic weapons and feel the excitement when you claim them.

Honestly, they've gotta add back vehicle mods for the apocalypse theme, especially if the whole map becomes sand dunes. Without off road tires, the cars are gonna be trash on sand dunes.

To be honest, I'm not interested with summer event stuff, because it's not as big and Exciting as fortnightmares and winterfest. All i wanted for ch5s3 is a really good have lootpool and good updates.

Make the attachments like COD where you decide them before the match, then whoever picks up the gun first gets their attachments on it. For example if I find a pump and no one else has used it it will have my attachments on it but if I kill someone and they drop a pump it will have their attachments on it

You nailed every point 100%. I couldn't agree more with the final statement regarding weapons, gunplay is so awful right now. ARs especially are borderline unusable without scopes & vertical foregrip. And this wouldn't be an issue if 90% of my ARs didn't spawn with the awful thermal scope or the speed foregrip or if mod benches weren't so hard to access for a regular player. Weapons before were simple, you learn how it works & you know what to expect when you get a weapon, but with attachments it just adds even more unnecessary RNG. Bullet drop is even more of an issue for me, it just makes weapons unfun to use, especially the hand cannon... My theory is that they've added bullet drop because the Chapter 4 scoped ARs dominated the meta (Red Dot AR, MK7, Twin Mag AR), but couldn't they just add bullet drop to weapons like that and keep regular ARs & SMGs unaffected? It's probably more true that it's added so people can't just use 4x on everything, but hey, they could've disabled 4x scopes on ARs like they did for SMGs, right? Regardless, bullet drop should only be on weapons that need it - snipers, DMRs & imo scoped ARs, but keep the regular scopeless ARs, SMGs & pistols hitscan. Yeah, yeah, it makes guns more skillful, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily fun... also, we don't need an extra skill ceiling because this game already has a problem with having a large skill ceiling.

I don't even dislike the bullet drop and stuff as an idea. Fortnite's bullet velocity is just way too slow. Like i'm sorry but it's bullshit that i have to lead my shot at a dude gliding a meter or 10-20 away from me. People say they Fortnite is trying to be like CoD but it doesn't even feel like CoD. The bullet velocity on CoD is actually good, here you can miss shots due to bullet travel at ranges where that's just utterly ridiculous. It's just unenjoyable to fight at range in Fortnite now and thus makes lots of engagements feel the same since trying to get tags in is just not worth it that much now.

Hot Take The OG Weapons should have never left in my opinion I miss the feeling of using a scar or pump shotgun it felt more rewarding in a way the new ones we got feel like cheap imitations of what we used to have.

Spray weapons should spawn with scopes if epic insist on keeping weapon mods. The upgrade bench’s should spawn indefinitely instead of being random and we should not have to wait till 3rd circle to upgrade a weapon. I would prefer if they just brought back hit scan but if bullet drop is here to stay they need to work on it asap.

I think a car only mode where you have to run into other cars to eliminate players would be cool. AND there would be something like augments that would allow you to have different car mods to improve your car performance.

Season 3s weren’t honestly the weakest, in Ch 1 yes, Ch 2 it was fun because of memories and friends and was a certain vibe, but way better stuff it could have been for sure, Ch 3, I heard it was one of the best seasons of all time, and Ch 4, alright. Jungle was cool, but I’ll say it’s alright.

For next season, the train should have a new style that goes with the theme. I thinking about extending the train by adding another car, having guards to shoot at the players if they get near or on the train, and lastly make it where you can hijack the train and drive it (if the train has turrets you can shoot them when driving)

Also we need to be able to choose if we want cartoony graphics (like season 1 and 2) or the realistic graphics in settings (this will help player's consols not explode after 2 matches)

They also need to add exotic mod benches. They could have three of them that appear through rifts in random spots during mid game. Or maybe they could do this by adding three spawn islands and you have to cap it to be able to use the exotic mod bench.

The bullet drop was added as a byproduct of every weapon being able to have a 1st person sight on it, which has made many weapons in the past very busted. But if every gun has it, it shouldn't matter. If everyone is broken, no one is. The biggest problem with the attachment system is how random it is. Finding my favorite gun is cool, but if it has shitty attachments, I don't want it, and that's an awful feeling every time. I think attachments should only be floorloot and buyable in mod benches. Have weapons spawn without attachments and carry over any attachments to higher rarity versions. Have mod benches all around the map, give the attachments rarities depending on how impactful they are. This also dictates how much they cost in mod benches. And since your not ever forced to use sights, bullet drop is pointless! Also, to make it riskier to attach mods, make them only removable via mod benches, so you don't just attach every mod randomly as you find them. You can carry mods for when you can switch them out on a mod bench. Overall, the mod system would be less random, more customizable and more satisfying. And it would also indirectly fix the issue of bullet drop... If they remove it...

I feel like they just gonna add a new sand biome and that's it. Dont they understand that that that just changing 20% of the map doesnt make us happy? We need map changes all around the map, mayve change lavish lair and rebels roost, bc they remained untuched for 2 seasons. And also season 3 is the summer season. They should really put a summer paradise kinda poi for the summer seasons, but that never happens.

Here's my take on this: Are Weapon Attachments a great concept? Absolutely. Is their execution that great? No. Do I want them removed? Absolutely not. The biggest problem with attachments imo is their lack of accessibility. They added a new mechanic that is very hard to even access. I'm fine with randomized attachments, but give us the option to change them, and have more Mod Benches on the map. Benches being Vault exclusives or Bunker exclusives is annoying because it doesn't even feel like I'm using a weapon attachment system in most of my games, just picking up random weapons and praying for good attachments. My solution to this is: add WAY more, easily accessible Mod Benches, and add certain Exotic attachments to the Vault/Bunker exclusive benches. These attachments would be more goofy and lighthearted, something we've been missing in Fortnite for a while now, like Dragon's Breath Sniper Shots, or Boogie Bomb Sniper Shots, or a Shockwave Masterkey. Those would be lots of fun, and it would give a reason to go and fight for those Vaults/Bunkers without restricting a core mechanic of the game. Weapons should also feel good without attachments. Not having them shouldn't be as disadvantageous as it is right now. Just remove the bloom on non-sighted weapons when aiming down sights, that should fix the whole problem. Bloom + Projectile feels awkward, especially with high bloom weapons. Regarding Bullet Drop: I think with attachments, it's fine, but re-adjust it. ARs and DMRs SHOULD NOT HAVE THE SAME PROJECTILE TRAVEL TIME. " Here's the chart: Shotguns are hit-scan. KEEP IT THAT WAY. SMGs should have slow projectile travel since they are meant to be effective mostly in close range. ARs should have a much faster projectile travel since they are effective in medium range and even long range fights. DMRs and Marksman Rifles should have the fastest projectile travel, for long range. Snipers should have a very slow travel time since they are able to one-shot headshot. I think the Sniper this season is actually pretty balanced now, but the ARs should have MUCH FASTER bullet travel. My opinion on this season: I'll give it an 8/10. I think it's an improvement over last season, but the second half was a bit dry. I still had my fun, but I feel like this season could've been better.

This season 3 for this chapter has so much potential, they are marketing/promoting this season very hard that they are even teasing a new battle bus from Monster Jam in real life. They can’t mess it up 🤞 #FortniteC5S3Wrecked

I hate most mythics in this season, it's like, my first interaction with the game[in zero build]. I thought I'm gonna have satisfaction while shooting, but everyone using mythic/magic. Like this op waterbending- goes brrrr. God, implementing magic in shooter games is the worst. And now I find out that guns used to have a good old hitscan. Devs just forcing me to use magic and I don't want it, I want shooting, and if dying, then from guns all of the time and skill issue, not just magic. U almost dead?-use wings, peculiar close range situation?-use chain, don't have good weapons in general?-just get some water. Despite my hatered, I still think that I should mention smth aside from rage. Avatar mythics was not so bad mostly, with disabled Greek mythics of course: wind- just fast travel with loud noise; earth- free cover with cooldown and destroying enemy cover; fire- close range dance, but u have a lot of time to deal with it due to not so high damage. Zeus lighting also not so bad- it's almost usless but only in solo.

Every time I see the "This could save Fortnite", I get disapointed. Because so far (imho), no one mentioned the reason why not many people are playing BR is the loads of creative maps that are taking a huge number of player base. If a lot of players are spending time in BR, it'll help the matchmaking big time. Drop creative maps and add LTMs... etc

Fortnite just seems like a big ad now. Everything is a collaboration or some update that makes the game worse. If they had a good story, live events and map changes throughout the season it would be a lot better. instead they make a new mode or a horrible battle royal collaboration (star wars update) Edit: I also think the graphics are to realistic, the chapter 3 graphics would've made this season better

Usually I don't agree with you on anything, but on the weapons part I do.

Alright look for the last part when you talked about bullet drop and attachments, the reason for it is because it would be too op for competetive. If they take bullet drop away then players just get stuck in backside of zone, and for weapon attachments it would requare less skill to just be able to use certian attachments. and yes i think its a good idea to have certian attachments at each location but epic for some reason is trying to make pubs to comp.

They better fix snipers bro bc the bullet drop is abysmal and stupid. Im typically a sniper main but now the fucking ARs have more range than the weapon whos entire purpose is to be a long range gun. I want to be able to shoot a sniper and actually know where the bullet is going to go again instead of blindly firing and hoping I estimated the drop amount correctly.

Like this take a lot and think you're right on. While I don't mind waiting til storm 3 for the bunkers to open up, I hate deciding if I need to travel across the whole map or spend the next full minute or more running in the storm to the closest one One thing I'd love to come back....a mythic weapon that only drops when the island is claimed. Seems the islands best thing is the heals it drops cause the guns can vary too much

Bullet drop is required for the game otherwise snipers would be too over powered. I like this chapter honestly. I've only played chapter 4. I like that they change things up. They can't add weekly stuff while they are away. Because if there's a bug they can't fix it. That's why it's best to just add something simple. I think you are correct that they should focus on BR. I don't think they can dramatically change the game to make it more fresh. Just to keep players engaged if they keep pushing super hard. People will expect more and more every season. There expectations will be too high. When you compare every season to your favorite season then every season will seem horrible. I mainly care about story and quests. I find myself not playing the game very much until new quests/weeklys are added. Other wise I just feel like the grind is too long and boring. I just feel like there should be something to do to get extra XP. I do like that they have added a extra quest per round that gives 5k XP. But there's a wierd thing where either the quests you choose from are suoer easy or super hard. So logically your going to pick the one that sounds easiest.

All i want is a summer themed win umbrella during the summer event. Give me a hyped free item to work towards during the event
