One of my favourite roguelike deckbuilders is a fairly unknown one called Nowhere Prophet. It's interesting because it's less about putting together a maximally synergistic deck, and more about walking a resource management tightrope. You're a prophet whose followers are cards in your deck, and can die (and thus be removed from your deck permanently) in combat. So you have to strike a balance between playing your best stuff to win battles easily, and keeping your best followers alive so that you have them during tougher battles.
For Roguelike Deckbuilders, I'm absolutely in love with Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles right now. It's really pretty, has some insane builds, and lots of variety! As you mentioned, it looks sick... but I genuinely recommend it. Probably even my game of the year, so far.
With Spooky Season getting in full swing, you HAVE to give Inscryption a go if you haven't already!!! Such a great storytelling/escape room vibe for such a fun and flavorful deckbuilding roguelike!!
If you want a reccomandation for deckbuilders Tainted Grail is probably my favorite one besides Slay the Spire. Its set in kind of a dark fantasy/nordic folklore setting with 3d graphics. Its really good mechanicaly but it shines when it comes to atmosphere and storytelling
Favorite roguelike deckbuilders were Slay the Spire, that begun it all for me, Monster Train, for the novelty and the way it telegraphs future encounters and Griftlands, for the immersion and the idea of dual decklists for different encounters and decisions.
For the rogue like deck builder games i would recommend "One Step From Eden" and "Inscryption", enden is the fast card use and action type while inscryption is a more slower, thinking and storytelling one.(sorry for bad english)

Yo I just wanted to let ya know that I needed a third deck yesterday and I didn't have a lot of time this week to build my decks like I normal do before tournies so i grabbed your list here and the only thing I really did was tweek a couple cards for quicksand and I top cut the open. This is the third time I've topped with a nasus deck lol. Just thought I'd let ya know this build represented yesterday I only dropped a couple games all day haha
I've never really played Senna before (only darkness a couple of times) but she feels great in this deck. Also, based on the reactions I've gotten so far, this deck seems miserable to play against. I haven't seen this many ropers since the Corina Plaza days.
Hi, Snnuy, I've been watching your videos for a while now and you've essentially replaced the morning void left by former LoR streamers. Would it be possible to have the intro for the deck happen before the first game starts? I enjoy watching your videos but it's very difficult for me to focus and enjoy any aspect of the first few minutes of the video when the gameplay is overlayed with the intro. Especially when the first couple of minutes set the tone for the rest of the match. Apart from that, great work. I really appreciate all the hard work and content.
Hi! I understand that the way I do intros doesn't land for everyone but for retention it's the only way to not have a majority of the viewers just skip over the first 2 minutes to get to the gameplay. Having the intro over the gameplay was my "fix" to hopefully have the best of both worlds... I'll keep trying to find better ways to do it but imo the deck explanation in the deck builder is outdated and lame and something I will never go back to.
For deck building rogue like, I'd recommend Banners of Ruin. It started as a Banner Saga clone before switching to card mechanics early in development and that left some really interesting tactical mechanics. Someone else mentioned Griftland, it's also a great game and you get the dilemma of drafting two decks at the same time. Astrea is really good too, nice choice. Slightly different genra and it maybe wouldn't work for the format you're going for, but Steamworld quest and the Witcher Thronebreaker are deck building RPG definitely worth checking out too.
Since you're looking into roguelike deckbuilders, if you wanna try something a little more wacky and non-standard, I gotta recommend peglin. You build a "deck" of balls and fight enemies on a pachinko board. It sounds stupid but it's a great game.
deckbuilders: you gotta start with slay the spire. Next, you want to try monster train. Lastly, I believe vault of the void is the best for card game enthusiasts, but its the most complex at the same time.
ive herd that you need a rogue like cardgame, and ive got a really good one for you, its called griftlands, it's made by klei entertainment, the creators of dont starve together, and its just a great and wholesome game, and i would love to see you play it :)
I tried it but it's really slow and a lot of of the removal spells are useless in the current statbag meta, opponent can fill the board with higher than 3 power creatures really fast while you're just sitting there with your 3-cost unit that can't even block.
Huh, I guess Shurima's region identity is champion matters, as they do have stuff like siphoning strike and that spellshield lady. Which fits the Ascendeds, at the very least. Day 18 of asking for Janna Vayne

If you plan to play some deck builders, can I suggest Cross Blitz and Library of Ruina? Crossblitz just started it’s public beta, and LoR is a long love of mine, both are tons of fun
I wish Sunny would play Genshin's card game. It is far from the good but it is playable. And it is a veeery niche gamemode in the game (expectedly) but it deserves at least some love. And there would be no greatest act of honor to such an underestimated gamemode than getting a review from THE card-gamelord.
Everytime I see scraptraption I loose 1 year of my life, I don't even think Heimer+Jayce is that strong RN, but god it's so tiring to play against the same flowchart for 1 year or more
I feel like I kinda want you to make a bit where you become an NPC character, and just say stuff like "Leap of faith huh? Leap of faith huh? you'll catch me right?" just famous quotes like that. idk... I have a problem, and I don't even watch NPC content.
