hi joey i have a deck i built and was wondering how to get ahold of you for some suggestions on how to improve it you probably wont believe this but i'll be 59 on sat and my son got me hooked on magic after mirrodin came out but he has been playing since revised love your deck builds by the way

to be fair i think you have way too many mountains for how much red spells you actually have in the deck lol

Yeah. He only needs a single red source on the third turn, meaning in ten cards while he needs two white on t2, in the first eight. Given how not-important having t3 red is, I'd swap the mountains for 4 plains, 4 Fabled Passage. Even Tithe gives t4 red and you've drawn a fifth of the deck by then anyway.

Yeah I was noticing that halfway though the first game. All boss needed to do was drop 3 mountains down to 5 and bump the plains to 15. Still would have had 9 possible red sources, not including tithes tokens, for when he just needed the 1 on the field for a Ratter or a Merriment.

While I do agree he probably could have gone 15 plains/5 mountains, the RNG was still garbage. He had 50% more plains than mountains but every game started on the statistically improbable side...but hey, it "could happen" so who are we to judge. I've not played the game much, but I know it loves improbable things happening. If he went 15/5, you better believe he'd consistently start with his red drops, but no way to get them out.

you missedon an infinite all you needed to add was a sac outlet bishop of wings plus divine visitation plus a sac outlet is infinite life

Nice job but these events are so short that I just use one of my 50 or so decks to beat them, almost not worth putting something together that will suck after the event. On a side note I made a deck with Lavinia and Allure of the Unknown to mitigate the downside. It's kinda janky but it's funny when it works out

been playing it i dont have divine visitation but i edited some things and if you are going to be on the ground with your ajanis add shadow spear youll find with your mad ratters / i added daxos as well for more life gain and your orators youll be stalled out not being able to punch through with ajanis if they have chump so it lets you swing through with 1 of your ajanis to get hits

Has there been a vampire deck that's true to a vampire for example: they drain ether enemies or themselves, they can entice the enemy with there will so they work for you, if they can't drain the enemy minions will do. Sure it may seem your vampire has died but did it really are you sure it's dead (come back or make it retreat back into your hand). They are immortal kind of yeah weakness is sun and fire with head chopping. The longer they stay on the field the older they get the bigger they get getting scary. I can never really find the right cards to build this deck I think it might need three colours black/white and blue what you think but I can never make a good deck out of it a true vampire deck. They might also like using old artifacts or enchantments

I play mad ratter 😳 i use it with the black/red 2/2 knight that let's players draw an additional card on my draw step. Together with priest of forgotten gods

Lol, you went a different way with Divine Visitation and Bishop of Wings. I got my wins in this event with Divine Visitation, Woe Strider, Bishop of Wings, Corpse Knight and Cruel Celebrant, good times. If you swapped Mad Ratter for Woe Strider you've got an instant combo right there instead of just producing 2 angels per turn.

Is it just me or does anyone else run 24/5 lands and they either feel like they are getting flooded/mana screwed no matter the amount of lands you put in and more than you would in paper magic? or is it just me?

You only have 2 spells that use 1 red mana each, and adding 8 mountains in deck you are depending a lot in RNG for this to work 5 mountains and 4 shock lands are all you needed.

Why is Wizard's controlling the mana? Shouldn't all the cards in the deck be assigned at random, i.e. a 1/60 odds?

He has lifelink on Oketra with doublestrike. The Oppenent takes 10 life dropping him to -2. But with the +1/+1 after the first strike, he gets 9 life back and another +1/+1 counter. Now he has a 6/8 lifelink doublestriker which is only going to grow bigger and generate a 5/5 zombie with every creature spell and the enemy has no attacker big enough to handle and probably no removal

@@simondg42 But when you know you have no fitting removal in your deck its pointless. Maybe he could have blocked with all three the next turn but Oketra is going to come back 3 turns later anyways
