That's a great question. Whats meant by highest grade low E glass is Cardinal low-E 366. When PGT uses Cardinal low-E 366 glass in their product they rename it "energy shield Max". So if you ask for energy shield max that will get you the correct type. Another way to double check is to make sure that the solar heat gain coefficient is 0.21. Only very high grade low-E will be able to reach that low of a solar heat gain coefficient.
It should just snap on so you should be able to start at one end and pull hard to unsnap it. Sometimes an installer may glue it on which would make it very hard to remove. Hopefully that's not the case, if it is then you would need to cut into it with a saw to make a relief cut to remove it.
