@@VictorExplains hello Mr Victor thanks for the reply ,I change my wife xiaomi account via mail but when I try to input new password to the active this device it says couldn't verify ID .invalid username or password .I did correct password verify but can't open the phone 😔do you think where I do mistake what's the problem ?
For me the problem happened, as i bought the phone outside india, and registered for a mi account with an international number. When i relocated back to india I changed my number, but in my phone it said that my account is registered with the old number. This might be the same reason for your problem

Note that i have not tried this method myself, but this video looks pretty legit. once again remember THIS WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE AND YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA
